An offshoot of the Palestinian Fatah faction, The Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, announced on Wednesday that it would not disarm after Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip despite warnings from the Palestinian Interior Ministry that armed groups would not be tolerated by authorities."We will continue to brandish our weapons in the face of the occupation (Israel) as Gaza is only the first step towards the liberation of all of the land of Palestine," a spokesman for the group said in a public statement, according to AFP.
The announcement that such group would be opposed in the Gaza Strip was made on Tuesday by the Palestinian Interior Ministry, who said any irregular armed groups in the Gaza Strip following the pullout of Israeli soldiers from the territory would be handled.
"The Palestinian Authority and the elected political leadership will not permit armed groups and private armies to be present in Palestinian zones where the (Israeli) occupation has ended," a statement said.
However, spokesmen for the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades replied, "The appeals by the interior ministry and other parties to give up our weapons are irrelevant."
And quite likely not even sincere in the first place.
I have long maintained that to many "Palestinians" the term 'occupation' means a mere presence of a single living non-dhimmi jew in the Holy Land. The so-called 'struggle' which every Palestinian official, down to the presumably 'moderate' Abu Mazen is relentlessly promulgating, will continue as long as the state of Israel is wiped off the face of Earth.
Even if the jewish state, in its desperate and irrantional attempt to appease the court of world opinion, will withdraw from Judea and Samaria and will hand over Jerusalem with its shrines under the Arab control, HAMAS, IJ and Al-Aqsa 'Martyrs' will continue carrying out operations against the Israeli civilians.
The mass murder of women and infants has worked miracles in the past and have earned the terrorist PLO a world-wide recognition and an unprecedented treatment by the mightiest of this world. So why not continue employing this tactic, the more so that Israel apparently begins to follow UN's steps in appeasing the terrorists? It'll all follow the same pattern again: terrorist mass murders, legitimate Israeli retaliation, mass condemnation of the 'indiscriminatory killing of civilians', which by some miracle happened to be in the hottest spots, and then more and more and more concessions struck out of Israel, until it finally agress to grant the so-called 'Palestinian refugees' the right of return, thus spelling its ultimate demise.
The Palestinians' collective dream might one day come true.

I know people from here and from Canada who have gone to the occupied territories and what they saw was a horrific treatment of Palestinians. That is what drives groups like Hamas, Al-Aqsa, Jihad, PFLP, and DFLP.
That rabbi at Baruch Goldstein's funeral (who was a settler): what a great guy he was. Here's one of his loving, humanitarian quotes, cuz after all, Israel never does anything bad, they just "respond," and all Palestinians are evil animals unworthy of decent treatment:
"100,000 Arabs aren't worth a Jewish fingernail."

Why can't the paleos live next to Jews in peace? The Jews have been seeking peace, even giving up their G-d given land for peace. You know that Jews will never be allowed to live in peace as long as islam is a factor. The qur'an instructs muslims to hate and to kill.

This just demonstrates the unwillingness of Palestinians to have peace.
