IMO, one of the most significant aspects of this deportation attempt, will be the challenges brought by groups such as Hizb ut-Tahrir, and individuals such as Omar Bakri.
The public needs to know what's really in the Qur'an, and what better place to point appropriate passages out than in a public court proceeding.
It is time for Muslim fundamentalists to be put right on the spot for both their beliefs and intents.

The 'good' Muslim would be one who reformed Islam from a 7th century partiarchally-paralyzed 'cult of the warlord' into a modern 'thinking faith' (as it almost became circa 1100 A.D. with Ibn Sina [Avicenna] and Ibn Rushd [Averroes] and al-Ghazali). A 'religion' that was able to understand the metaphorical language of the Koran as the Jews finally grasped the Torah/Talmud and as the Christians untimately tempered their understanding of the Old Testament aspect of their Bible -from one of dogmatic intolerance toward a benign acceptance of other beliefs.
When Muslims can reach the same level as the Jews and Christians (and Hindus and Buddhists, and Bahais and practically every other civilized faith) in their ability to live peacefully alongside all other believers and faiths and see them prosper without rising in 'holy' outrage toward the violence -and the extremism of militant jihad- then the world will be a happier place for all.
And people won't feel the need to laugh when they hear Islam described as "a religion of peace".

Until the Koran is confronted head on, and it is made clear that laws in Europe are made be parliaments and not by Allah, we are losing this.
