Hamas leader: Gaza withdrawal - "beginning of the end for Israel"

Khaled Mashaal says something that everyone in the world seems to know -- except Ariel Sharon and George W. Bush. From Al-Bawaba, with thanks to all who sent this in:

The implementation of the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip marks “the beginning of the end for Israel,” said Hamas political bureau chief, Khaled Mashaal.

Speaking to al-Hayat newspaper, Mashaal was quoted as saying on Tuesday that the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip as “the beginning of the end for the Zionist program in the region.”

The Hamas leader reiterated the movement’s commitment to the calm with Israel until the end of the current year, but added the “resistance is a strategic choice, because the withdrawal from Gaza is the first step in the way to complete liberation.”

The Damascus-based official stressed that “Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon wants the Gaza exit to be the first and last, and the payment for the continued control in the West Bank, settlement construction, wall construction, and the annulment of any possibility of establishing a Palestinian state within the framework of the Zionist project to end the Palestinian issue with the unlimited US support,” adding "We, however, see the withdrawal as first step for full liberation and achieving all of our legitimate rights. Today Gaza and tomorrow the West Bank and later every inch of the land."

Give them an inch and they take a mile.

Maybe Sharon has lost his marbles.

Maybe he hasn't. Maybe he will allow the withdrawal, knowing full well that these types in the article above will see it as a victory and proceed to kill even more Jews. Then maybe, he hopes, that would give Israel the right to clobber the Islamic nutters.

But then again, if having your country invaded 3 times, on three fronts, and defending it successfully from Allah, still draws world (aka UN) condemdation, then the Jews will be dammed if they do, and dammed if they don't.

Robert, you should know better. Arabs are big talkers. They talked about how they would destroy the Jews in 1948. They talked about how they would destroy the Jews in every year leading up to 1967. They talked about destroying the Jews every year after that too. Nothing new here.

"Nothing new here."
-- from a posting above

Yes, there is. There is the $10 trillion that OPEC states, 10 of the 11 being Muslim or Muslim-dominated, have received since 1973. There are the tens of millions of Muslims now behind enemy lines. There are the radicalized Arabs of Israel proper. There are the maddened, primitivized Arabs, all hate and hysteria (the hypallage here is fitting), in Gaza and the West Bank. There are the demographic problems that do not go away. There is the nuclear weapons project of Iran, well on its way to completion. There are similar projects with WMD in Egypt and in Syria, much further from completion. There are the Stinger Weapons, passed out like confetti in Afghanistan once upon a time, with thousands unaccounted for. There are Pakistan's nuclear weapons.

It may be comforting to console oneself with the idea that the Arabs are full of apocalyptic talk. And that talk bore little relation to what happened in 1948. Or 1967. But in 1973, the Israelis were close to defeat, and one wonders how close, in turn, they came to loading up what nuclear bombs they then possessed. And would they have used them? And would they today? And on whom, and how many bombs, and then what?

No, Israel is now in the most dangerous situation it has ever been in. And unless the withdrawals stop, and the Israelis, like other Infidels, begin to educate themselves as to the real nature of the conflict, and resign themselves to an endless Cold War -- which is hardly the worst thing in the world, and for more on that Cold War ask Americans from the ages of 40 on up, who spent their entire lives during that Cold War, and found it manageable, and the outcome highly satisfactory), things can only get worse.

One would like, of course, to believe otherwise. One would like to believe that Arabs and Muslims will not acquire major weaponry. But Pakistan already has. The huge asymmetry in population has not been reduced, but has increased. The Western world has allowed the Muslims unlimited access to Western technology, arms, education, medical care, and even to the very lands of the Infidels, where through Da'wa and large families, Muslims may achieve without a single act of terrorism the conquest of Bilad al-kufr, the Lands of the Infidels. And unless an entirely new attitude, based on a thorough understanding of the theory and history of Islam, is exhibited by a sufficient number of Infidels, they will islamize Europe. And then where will not only Israel, not only the United States, but Europoe itself, and its hapless, hopeless, helpless remaining Infidels, then be?

I think this is a smart move on Sharon's part. Once the Israelis move out and the violence escalates, Israel can justifiably retaliate and say "Hey, we did what they wanted, we tried, we really tried, we made every effort in good faith, we bent over backwards for these people and look how these treacherous dogs repaid our efforts". Then Israel will take back the terroritory and tell the UN "We told you so".

I also think that is Israels strategy. Sharon knows the PA is still unwilling or unable to reign in Allahs warriors so he is going to give the nutters enough space for them to resume their jihad and then Israel will be free to pound away. One missle fired into Isreal will be responded to with 100 missles fired into Jihadi territory. No smart bombs, no laser guided bombs but just good old fashioned dumb bombs. It's the only thing that makes sense in regards to the unilateral pullout and all.

I think Sharon saw that all he could protect was behind the walls. I'm with you guys in that when the Muslims attack Israel that they are going to come back with force. It's sad how the Muslim propaganda against Israel has become most of the world’s truth. In Jenin when the Israelis went door to door trying to cut down on the civilian casualties and to the whole world it was a massacre.

Mark there was some interesting footage of the whole Jenin mess. In one case the a “dying” Palestinian (civilians of course) was being taken out on the stretcher - oh and with the TV crews present. Anyway one of these "civilians" got a bit cranky with the bumpy trip, and how his carriers dropped him. This "wounded" man got up out of the stretcher, stood on two legs, and ripped into his carriers!

Then there was the whole “mass graves” incident, where the world media had ‘front page’ stories on how the “evil” Jews had murdered masses of Muslims. Yet after the whole thing was proved a fraud, there was not one front page story on the whole “mass grave” fraud. Not to mention that most of the bodies found initially had the old AK47 with them (but this is a cultural thing for Muslims, they don’t use the assault rifles – they’re peaceful people).

I also have footage of when a Reuter’s cameraman caught the Muslim terrorists cramming into a clearly marked UN Red Cross/Red Crescent van, ak47's and all. That way if Israel blows the crap out of them, the "Palestinians" remove the weapons, call the TV stations, and say look,

"The Israeli's are targeting inncocent civilians, AND the UN!!"

I now no longer give to the International Red Cross – as there is evidence that they knew that their vehicles were being used for such purposes. Oh and the footage never made the news – no TV station wanted to run it. It was only pressure from the USA political system on the UN that has brought some of this corruption to light.

I read a really good book on how the "Palestinians" use the media called, "Philistine - The Great Deception". Can't remember who the author was - but an awesome book on the whole Israel/ ME thing.

Quran 33:26 "Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captive. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes, and their wealth. He gave you a country you had not traversed before."

This sends shivers down my spine, as if time stood still and nothing has changed since the revelation of this verse. It seems that Palestinians are living up to their scriptures, reading it as I read it: to drive Jews from their homes through continuous harassement and violence. Today's Gaza pullout seems like an historic event happening right in front of us.

Yes, in 1973 the Israelis were very close to defeat and Moshe Dyan is said to have given the order to ready Israel's nuclear weapons with the cry of, "The Third Temple is about to be destroyed!". This mobilisation was picked up by Russian spy satellites and they began sending nuclear warheads to Syria. Nuclear war was only averted when Israel regained the upper hand and -- hours away from conquering Cairo and Damascus -- was forced to back down by Henry Kissenger and the UN.

The situation is far more dire today. The margin for error has always been slim in the calculation of how much territory Israel could cede or how many casualties it could suffer in war before being forced to use its nuclear arsennal. With the Shahab missile and nuclear weapons programmes being developed by Iran, US-made F-16s now six minutes from Israel at Tabuk air base in Saudi Arabia, Egypt remilitarizing the Sinai, and the new terrorist state of Hamastan in Gaza, the existential threat to Israel is greater than ever.

So, the wolves are among the sheep once again. It seems that even the youngest of the lambs, and the weakest of the ewes, will have to find their horns now.

Off-topic for sure, but watch the "farmers' apostrophes", please. The use of "'s" indicates either the contraction of the noun with is (It is = it's) or the possessive (except when you are using the gender neutral its in the possessive.

Would like to find the book you reference though. I've long maintained that someone should write a book entitled the "Nakba Industry", detailing all the historical revisionism and outright financial fraud connected with the whole Arab Refugee narrative.

Since we're going off-topic...

I was away for about 6 weeks but in keying through the archives back to the London bombings, I noticed your post (in response to mine) arguing that there could be humane Germans but not humane Nazis. My point at the time was that one can always find a handful of adherents (Naseem, for example) who demonstrate love and tolerance for their fellow human beings while their ideology -- Islam -- is inherently evil.

You might want to google on the name Hans Münch. Granted, they were few and far between, but there were Nazis who held on to their humanity, despite the poisonous ideology represented by the uniform.
