A MASKED British gunman claiming to be fighting with al-Qaeda in Afghanistan appeared on an Arabic satellite channel yesterday describing how he killed a team of US Special Forces. His claim came just hours after Tony Blair warned that Britons who boast about supporting terror groups like al-Qaeda or attend their training camps face immediate arrest if they attempt to return home.This broadcast, aired on the al-Aribiya channel, is seen as timely propaganda coming a day after after al-Qaeda’s second in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, threatened more terror attacks in London.
Security services here will study the broadcast to try to identify the man. UK intelligence agencies admit that they do not know how many Britons are with terrorist outfits abroad. This alleged fighter, who did not reveal his identity but spoke in a broad northern accent, described how he took part in the attack on a US Chinook helicopter in June.
Sixteen Americans were killed when their helicopter was shot down as they were reportedly searching for Osama bin Laden. This was the biggest single loss of US Special Forces in the war in Afghanistan. A Kalashnikov rifle is slung across his chest, and he raises his finger to the cameras as the unnamed Briton threatens to kill more Americans and Jews...
If this jihadist's words are true, the question is again raised: "Can we trust Muslims in our armed forces?"
Remember U.S. Sergeant Akbar? He's under the death penalty, if I recall correctly.
And wasn't Alamoudi involved in the Pentagon's Muslim Chaplains Program? Alamoudi is in prison now. It turns out that Alamoudi, guest of both the Bush and the Clinton White House, wasn't such a moderate after all.

speaking of books, I have ordered Robert´s New book
here in Germany and hope to receive it soon
(together with his "Onward Muslim Soldiers").
I already read his superb "Catholic Guide to Islam"
as well as "Islam Unveiled". I read "Answering Islam by Norman Geissler at al. " and just finished Serge Trifkovic´s "The Sword of the Prophet" a real pageturner as well as having Bat Ye'or´s book on the decline of christianity in the east during Islams early persecutation through the centuries still sitting on my desk.
I find cd´s and tapes help and would hope that Robert gets some of his other books or a new presentation Islam out on CD as well, to educate the public in a proper way, specially the ones who have less "time" to read.
If anyone can recommend any other book on Islam that they find especially helpful and interesting
please let me know. A kind of top 5 or top 10 book list would be interesting.

Obviously, if caught, this man, and any similar traitor in time of war, must be condemned for high treason. I have a few suggestion for how this might be done to maximum effect. First, he must be tried and condemned by a British court, but under war law, which allows for the death penalty for lending aid to the enemy and high treason. Britain used to have a splendidly gruesome ritual for such occasions; all of it should be used - the black cap, the awesome language, "...and from thence to the place of execution, and be hanged from the neck until you are dead; and may God have mercy upon your soul." Contrary to common practice, TV cameras should be allowed in the courtroom.
Traitors are often shot, but this man ought to be hanged. Hanging is a deliberately humiliating punishment, and it should be public. He should be made to wait for it the full two weeks, if possible in a prison whose inmates are mostly white and include a few ex-servicemen, who have been informed that this man murdered their comrades. The would make his last few weeks interesting - convicts always find a way to if they want.
The point is not vengeance as such, although I must admit that there is some pleasure in contemplating the end of a murdering traitor; it is that he must be given no opportunity to ham it up. He must not look like a hero or a martyr. Every legitimate way to break his spirit must be used. If it can be truly reported that his death was that of a frightened coward, it would be of great advantage to our side. Therefore he must be dragged to the place of execution blindfolded: the extra element of fear of not even seeing his end coming must be used. And if the appropriate effect has been achieved, then full pictures of the final ceremony, hanging and all, may be given free to Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya and similar stations, for their pleasure and edification.

We should have prevented Islamic Jihad holidays years ago, Abu Hamza was directly responsible for hundreds going to Afghanistan and Bosnia as well as Chechnya, he would boast about it on his website. Did you know that before the invasion of Afghanistan Hamza had been in touch with the Taliban to populate Afghanistan with British Muslims, he was seeking Muslims who were dissafected with British life to restart a new Islamic state. He never had many takers because they all knew how lawless a place it was, but he managed to get doctors and others who had returned to give the place a respectable image, he himself wouldn't go though he had so much to live for here.
Let him feel proud... until a high-powered projectile sends him off to the next hell.
