"'I Will Go to Do Jihad Again and Again': Prisoner's Story Highlights Pakistan-Based Training Network for Insurgents," which is of course something we have highlighted here at Jihad Watch many times. From the Washington Post, with thanks to Sr. Soph:
KABUL, Afghanistan -- The prisoner perched on a metal chair, hugging his knees to his chest and rocking slightly, like a nervous child. But his expression relaxed into a blissful smile as he described what he would do if released from his cell in the headquarters of the national intelligence service.
"When I get the chance, I will stick to my promise," said Sher Ali, 28, a Pakistani man with cropped black hair and a long beard. "I will go to do jihad again and again."
Ali said he took his vow to wage holy war against U.S. forces in Afghanistan earlier this summer, just before embarking on what he described as a 20-day weapons training course at a secret mountain camp in northeastern Pakistan.
He was captured by Afghan police about three weeks ago, shortly after crossing into Afghanistan's rugged, northeastern Konar province. The area has been a haven for armed renegades from an assortment of groups, including al Qaeda, the Taliban and backers of former Afghan leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, who is now a fugitive....
Ali spoke in the presence of an Afghan intelligence official, but he did not show signs of having been mistreated. Some details, such as the existence of jihadist training camps and the recruitment of Islamic fighters, have been reported separately in the Pakistani press or described by prisoners after their release.
"We know where a lot of these training camps are. We have their names. And we've given the Pakistanis all the information we have," said a senior Afghan intelligence official. "We're waiting for Pakistan to show the willingness to fight."...
Ali said Zubair told him and his companions that Western troops were bombing, arresting and torturing innocent Afghans. "He kept saying, 'It's our duty as Muslims to go there and help,' " said Ali.
That night, Ali recalled, Zubair turned to him and asked point-blank: "Do you want to join the jihad?"
It's the "duty of Muslims." No one yet -- outside of Jihad Watch, anyway -- has explored the implications of how jihad terrorists recruit by appealing to Islamic purity and loyalty.
Read it all.
They love death, we love life. They want to die, we want to live. Seems like we should be able to work out accommodations to make everyone happy.
We must find a way to keep the jihad confined within dar al Islam...hummm...could this opportunity be in....Iraq?
Shouldn't we love to see a proxy war develop between the Saudis on the Sunni side and Iran on the Shia side, eating up money, men, and materiel until we can extricate ourselves for the oil mess we're in? The Iran-Iraq war lasted ten years. A full blown Muslim civil war could last a century.
Sorry, but my heart won't bleed over it. Just call me Machiavelli in a skirt.

Islams limitless capacity for finding someone who needs killing cannot be diminished or removed. It's who they are. Maybe it can be, while not actually controlled, then gently redirected. Obviously muslims have no problem with killing each other. Turning islam in on itself will make everyone happy. Depending on their particular sect-du-jour, muslims will either revel in their victimhood or their role as butcher, and by containing them in the ME there will always be a convenient supply of targets at arms reach for those who feel the urge to purge.
while all the "good" muslims are happily slogging through knee-deep gore, the civilized world can go back to being civilized, and concentrate on correcting the cancers that allowed us to get into the self-caused predicament we find ourselves in.
This isn't rocket science. Jihad is eternal and will end only with Islam decides that it is a counterproductive ideology. Don't hold your breath as Jihad usually produces good results...and poor results are chalked up to "not trying hard enough."
Unfortunately the only true manner of ridding the world of this scourge is draconian.
"When I get the chance, I will stick to my promise," said Sher Ali, 28, a Pakistani man with cropped black hair and a long beard. "I will go to do jihad again and again."
Well then, throw this brainwashed seal a fish!
"I will go to do jihad again and again." And rabid dogs will continue to attack unless you kill them. When you see a rabid dog you do not try to pet it or reason with it. You kill it.
These mad dogs are the people that liberal politicians such as Kennedy and Durbin are protecting, while calling our troups nazis!
What is galling about this is that all is not a secret conspiracy --- it is all in the open and plain to see for anybody who looks further than official statements by the "Muslim Council of Britain" and the like.
But nobody is looking. Everybody (outside a couple of forums like this) is busy pretending that what is in plain sight actually does not exist. Just because we don`t like what we see? Why?
