India: Two arrested for selling Al Qaeda coupons

Not quite like green stamps. "Two arrested for selling Al Qaeda coupons," from IANS, with thanks to The One Who Must Not Be Named:

Two people have been arrested Sunday in connection with the sale of coupons bearing the name of Al Qaeda in some Muslim-dominated areas of this West Bengal capital over the past few days....

A middle-aged Bangladeshi was reportedly selling coupons to raise funds for Al Qaeda in some Muslim areas of Kolkata, according to the state detective department.

Reports said the man, who looked like a fakir and was believed to be about 50 years old, sold coupons of Rs.25 and Rs.50 denominations under the name of "Mujahiddin al Qaida Pacific International - Dhaka, Bangladesh" in Metiaburz and other areas near the Kolkata port.

There are two ways to look at this.

The seller of the coupons may indeed be raising money for Al Qaeda.

The seller of the coupons may be a con-man who knows that a very good way to raise money for himself among Muslims is to claim to be raising it for Al Qaeda.

Both are telling. Both are intolerable.

This sellor is a bangladeshi collecting money for Jihad. He has been caught out of ingnorane of Kokatta Police. This guy was doing a religious duty ordered by Koran. This arrest was against the policy of West Bengal (Commnuist)State Government. In 1985, Communist State govt. ruling at that time, pleaded before Calcutta High Court(see Calcutta Qran Pettition 1985)that everything written in Qran is from Allah therefore govt. cannot ask to delete/remove the suras of Qran which preach hatred and killing of kafirs, although such things are not allowed by Indian laws. Communist should correct their folly by releasing this guy and rewarding him for doing a "Noble Islamic Job" jihad. I may remind that they are ruling India by supporting the present federal govt at their own terms. Lastly, they are 'old faithful'to muslims, they should support Islamic Jihad.
