Lebanon detains British-based Muslim cleric Bakri

Good news on Bakri just in from Reuters:

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Lebanese authorities detained British-based radical Muslim cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed on Thursday, just days after he arrived in Beirut from London, Lebanese security officials said.

The officials said Bakri was detained by a force from the General Security Directorate (GSD) after he left the news studios of Future Television in Beirut. A GSD spokesman confirmed the detention but refused to comment on the reason.

An Interior Ministry source said there had been no arrest warrant issued for Bakri but that according to the law he could be held for up to 48 hours for questioning. He denied a Future Television report that Bakri was being questioned about how he entered Lebanon.

I sure hope they don't torture this welfare bum.

I suggest they preform some open heart surgery on him.

Omar my man … grab on to your deen and hang on tight!

“There will come a time when holding on to your Deen will be like holding onto ember (a burning piece of coal).” Prophet Mohammed (Peace be on him)

Maybe he has been claiming welfare there too & they, like the British Taxpayer, want their money back. I am still reeeling from the fact that he will still be receiving his UK benefit welfare handouts for the next 6 months at least.

We laugh, we scoff, we take delight at the small misfortune that has befallen this deluded medieval purveyor of suicide as a weapon, but whilst he remains free he is a threat to all freedom loving individuals everywhere.

albion,

"...this deluded medieval purveyor of suicide as a weapon..."

The real question here is:

Is he deluded, or is he a devout Muslim with the Qur'an on his side?

Oh, the persecution of the poor pious innocent muslims just goes on an on. I'm so distraught and angry that I may just go out and blow something up.
Sarc/off
Yehawww!

The message about Islam is getting out. The ratsnakes are running out of rocks to hide under.

"I may just go out and blow something up."

This is ludicrous, they are not dealing with inky fingered fourth formers and a Magnus Pike chemistry set now.
