Red Sea bombing suspect shot dead

From Reuters:

CAIRO - Egyptian police shot dead one of the prime suspects in the bombings which killed at least 64 people in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on July 23, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

His wife was also killed and their four-year-old daughter was injured in an exchange of fire with police, a security source added.

Mohamed Fulayfel was killed in the exchange near Gebel Ataqa, a hill 18 km (11 miles) west of the town of Suez, it said in a statement. It did not say when the gunfight took place.

Police investigating the Sharm el-Sheikh bombings were looking for Fulayfel, who is also on trial in absentia for bombings at three Red Sea resorts in October last year. One bomb, at the Hilton hotel in the town of Taba, killed 34 people.

His brother Suleiman was killed in the Hilton hotel blast, along with a Palestinian man who police said was the mastermind of the operation. Police said they died because the timing device did not work properly...

Mohamed Fulayfel.

Doesn't sound like a Jewish name. Sounds more like an Muslim name. But that COULDN'T be, could it? Could a Muslim be responsible for mass murder? What WILL those Muslim leaders say now if they can't blame the Jews?

/sarcasm off

The Saudi and Egyptian and Pakistani police don't seem to take alot of jihadists prisoners. Their policy seems to be shoot-to-kill. Not sure if that's because the government doesn't want the prisoners to spill too many embarrassing beans.

myiironu said "What WILL those Muslim leaders say now if they can't blame the Jews?"

Heheh. But I think you seriously misunderestimate their capacity for blame. You see, it was the Mossad and CIA who did the actual bombing, and they made poor Muhamed Falayfel a patsy. He was devoutly praying in a mosque when the bombs went off.

The "Muslim leaders" can come up with these lies without thinking, it's like breathing to them, an automatic involuntary response.

In the name of justice, I am obliged to help to disseminate story of a religious persecution ... My apologies for irrelevance.

Breaking News!
Barbaric persecution of an apostate …

The Malaysian authorities are persecuting an ex-Muslim fondly known as Ayah Pin and flattened his religious commune dubbed as Sky Kingdom, which is a quasi-religious commune located in north east Malaysian.

Once Muslim, Forever Slave!
Ayah Pin has publicly renounced his Islamic faith in 1998 but was REJECTED by the state (NB: Apostasy is a capital crime is Malaysia punishable by DEATH!)

The Persecution
In 2001, the Malaysian authorities jailed Ayah Pin for 11 months for attempting to renounce Islam. He is viewed as a security threat and they continue to harass him with all sorts of uncivilized threats befitting the low-life including smashing up the lovely giant teapot and flattening the commune, which they just did yesterday!

Prior to the destruction yesterday, the authorities raided the commune in July, 2005 and detained 45 faithful including a Kiwi, senior citizens and among others, 3 children of Ayah Pin and his 3 wives. I read somewhere; there are kids left behind unattended in commune and while some faithful have to pawn all they have to bail themselves out, the rest are still in custody.

Their crime: Being unIslamic!

As if the arrest was not good enough, mobs made up of some 35 unidentified assailants armed with Molotov cocktails attacked the commune and set the place ablaze …. Assailants attack Ayah Pin's commune with Molotov cocktails! ... I supposed mobs and Molotov cocktails are Islamic.

Report to the head nurse immediately. Your thorazine is ready.

Cheaper than trying and jailing him.

I have been to Sharm El Shaikh before as tourist and let me tell you, as an Egyptian national, it would be very difficult to get around there. The whole Sinai is full of Police and Check points. A person who is an Egyptian or any non-western/non-Gulf national would have a hard time entering Sharm. One basically has to be a tourist, a vented native worker in the hospitality/service industry, or a member of the security forces. These guys got quite a bit of help from members of the security forces. This is no conjecture on my parts, believe me… Sharm is not the Greek islands or the south of France… Natives have to keep showing ID’s and no Egyptian can just stroll in like that… It is a full blown apartheid there.

No wonder the suspects were shot dead by the police. The mere revelation that members of the security forces are cooperating with the terrorists, which has been going on for a long time, supplying Hamas with guns and explosives, would cripple the very profitable resort industry in the Sinai, which would harm Mubarak and his goons, heavily invested in coastal hotels and resorts.

As a somewhat overlooked side note. The mongrel has his wife and a 4 year-old child with him when confronted by authorities - I assume as I don't know.

BUT if that's the case, any DECENT husband and father would very very carefully submit to the police in an effort to see that his family wasn't injured, no?

This guy, on the other hand is apparently a brave jihadist to the end!

Bravo! Good riddance!

By putting the perpetrator out of his misery they also eliminate the witness...

Islam is a terrorist organization. The Mafia is nothing compared with that...

The Egyptian cops Probably did him in to cover up their involvement or to help protect other jihadists. They sacrafice a couple of their own to look like they are fighting terror.

so they should shot to kill anyone who takes someone elses life deserves to lose their life
but taking a mass masacre is unthinkable

Agree wholeheartedly- they're covering their tracks. The Americans/Brits/Israelis know it.

Egypt- never trust them. . .always changing allegiances. Our $2B to them every year, and still can't be trusted.

"if they can't blame the jews.."

but they can, haven't you ever heard of the 6th pillar of islam?

"never cloud the issue with facts"

As one is shot dead - two arises.

Ya ~ true shoot to kill. Who would understand these radicals better then they - as all the Muslim governments help to create them.

You notice that every one of these Islamic States is trying to pass the parcel - that this radical Islam just sprang up out of nowhere.

They would have us think that ~ it is all Bin Laden’s fault.

Go to any one of these so called tolerant Islamic states and get a Muslim to just say – ‘I don't want to be Muslim anymore’. This guy might as well be a radical trying to bomb up the place - because if they could ~ they would most certainly shoot to kill him.

These countries are producing radicals – by their design (It’s the best you can be there). Like Japan is producing engineers and America is producing entrepreneurs - these guys are producing radicals - bent on bringing the world under the same system of control - that their own countries are run by.

They are all to blame. Let Egypt take care of it own problems. The same intolerance that would cause an Islamic government to lock up or punish an individual who does not wish to practice Islam - Is the same intolerance that is driving this whole radical movement. Bin Laden ~ he’s just an effect ~ like smoke in mirrors. Look for the cause in the teaching, which all of them are getting.
