YALA, Thailand : Two Buddhist Thais and a Muslim village headman have been shot dead by masked suspected Islamic militants in the restive south, police said.Sukit Yingsong, a 28-year-old defence volunteer, and his paralysed father Kan Yingsong, 60, were strafed with machine-gun fire at their home in Yala province late Friday, police said.
"It is clear that the perpetrators were militants because Sukit was threatened and told to abandon his house, which is surrounded by Muslim villagers," said district police commander Colonel Parnpitak Thepchudeang.
Also on Friday night, gunmen broke into the home of Ma-ae Wantae, 37, a deputy village headman in Ra-ngae district of Narathiwat province and opened fire.
Ma-ae was pronounced dead while on the way to hospital, and police there said the style of the attack made them suspect the culprits were Muslim militants.
More than 870 people have been killed in 20 months of almost daily attacks in the Muslim-majority southernmost provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat which border Malaysia.
I notice that musclemen fascists in SEasia seem to possess a special type of bravery, machinegunning geriatrics in wheelchairs and doing battle with large cement teapots.

yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. Ya know, IT"S GUYS LIKE ME who make it hard for all those peaceful muslims who are just trying to get through the day. Here I am, shooting off my big infidel mouth, without even giving them the common courtesy of checking my facts first. They just don't deserve this kind of abuse. For all I know, the old guy in the wheelchair might have been contemplating oppressive acts upon them. Lets remember who the victims are here. How can I judge them without walking in their sandals? After all, there was only three of them and all they had to defend themselves were some WHOLLY inadequate machineguns. I mean COME ON, he was a geriatric paraplegic in a wheelchair, for God's sake, not to mention he was one of those bloodthirsty Buddhists! I shudder to think of the consequences had they not relied on their cat-like reflexes. There but for the grace of God go we.
Sorry, I can't keep this up any longer. I have the overwhelming urge to take a long hot shower.
As for the muslim village headman, he may have bought his ticket for any number of offenses. Was he trying to get people to co-exist peacefully? Was he the wrong flavor of islam? Was he the target of an honor killing(Oh well, then THAT'S a different story)? Were they just bored, or not satisfied with the days production of corpses? At the very least, someone thought he was a lousy muslim.
If ever there was a situation that required a military solution, this is it. When is Bangkok going to cover this area with military reinforcements? How many more murdered Buddhists will it require to prod Bangkok into action?? (Now if Bangkok has done this already, why are so many people being murdered in that region??).
Failing Thai military escalation, the Islamic genocide against Buddhist Thais is going to mount in this region of the country--and it would appear this is indeed the case. I am truly saddened by this ugly display of man's inhunmanity to man.
So, apparently, this violence in southern Thailand is an example of what al-Qaeda 'leaders' are calling islamic justice and glory...
So here we see this, the real face of Islam. No wonder it wears a mask--it's the most hideous thing on earth.
