7 Baptists jailed in British terror sweep -- oh, wait...

"7 Algerians jailed in British terror sweep," from UPI, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

In coordinated raids, police in London and Manchester Thursday detained seven Algerian nationals under the country's immigration laws.

"We can confirm that early today the Immigration Service detained seven individuals in accordance with the home secretary's powers to deport individuals whose presence in (Britain) is not conducive to the public good for reasons of national security," a Home Office statement said.

The men were not arrested, but were being held in "secure prison service accommodation," the statement said.

Sources told the BBC some of those held were among eight men cleared in April of involvement in a plot to place the poison ricin on urban British streets.

These are members of the same unit that murdered an unarmed British Police Officer.

The illegal immigrant who committed the murder & led the ricin "team" is currently serving 14 years in prison for the Policemans murder (14 years is the maximum sentence you get in the UK now for murdering a Police Officer).

With good behaviour, he will be able to apply for parole in 7 years, which, if he is successful, will see him immediately deported.

OT but Christopher Hitchens refered to the agenda to restore the Caliphate when rebutting allegations of imperialism during his debate with Gruesome Georgie Galloway last night. Good to bring these things out into the open.

Granny:

And what, pray tell, did Georgie have to say (if anything other than name-calling) about the suggestion of Islamic hegemony?

More eyewash from Clarke.

We recall that 500 extremists were going to be deported. So far, not one.

Or Blair's statement, "the law is changing".

Indeed it is - freedom of speech being proscribed so that muslim feelings are not hurt.

Well at least the Muslim Council of Britain who have made a concerted attemtp to derail Holocaust Day haven't been able to get it renamed "Genocide Day." From the Jewish Chronical-

"Some members of a new Muslim consultation group set up by the Home Office to help prevent extremism were said by the Sunday Times to have asked for a Genocide Day instead." The Home Office told them where to get off.

Also from the Jewish Chronicle, one of the so-called working consultation group to tackle Muslim extremism, Mr Ahmad Thomson has published a book called "Dajjal the Antichrist" in which he doubts whether 6 million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust, says Hitler had understandable reasons for hating "some Jews" and argues that much of the gist of the "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" may be true.

And the Government is consulting people like this? God help us!
