Let's freeze the accounts of all US mosques and then conduct special counsel gov't investigations that take about 10 years to complete.

That's the first one I've heard of, and I hope there are many more to come.

Hopefully one day EVERY mosque in the US will finally get those speakers mounted on their minarets like they want..........but not for prayers....only to conduct the nationwide auctions we'll be having to sell off all their property.

Keep spreading the word everyone.....talk to friends, family, neighbors. Send short, focused letters to all your representatives, to non-Muslim religious leaders in your town and others. It doesn't cost much and takes only a little time to write up a generic letter. Tell them to buy and read Robert Spencer's new book, tell them to read the Koran and see for themselves all the evil, vile teachings of Muhammed.

Most posters here will agree with you that the tearing down of the Babri Mosque was long overdue. Kudos to your people for finally claiming back what was stolen from you. I hope you keep pressure on your government to rebuild the temple that was there before the squatters moved in.
The next "great" mosque that needs to fall is the Al Asque mosque in Jerusalem. This too was built on the holiest site of a religion that was conquered by the Mohamedeans.

I don't know how old you are, but I'm old enough to remember earlier waves of immigration to Canada from Pakistan, and those people were and remain free of the religious extremism that most of the bloggers here are rightly against. What we have seen over the last 15 to 20 years is the result of the growing influence of Wahhabi Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran as the two duke it out for supremacy.

The chances of Islam completely disappearing are slimmer than Nazism, Communism or Maoism ever completely disappearing, as none of the latter have. The chances of Islam undergoing through a major reform are probably much greater than many here would care to acknowledge, and the impetus to do so will require a groundswell of support from Muslims like Naseem, led by some liberal Muslim intellectuals such as are occasionally cited on MEMRI. They are out there and should be encouraged and supported, not ignored or denegrated.

Besides the unexpected presence, recent events made their appearance ominous. On December 1 of the same year, a one-month grace period had expired in which the Armed Islamic Group (GIA), rebels fighting the government, had warned all foreigners to leave the country. Two weeks later, twelve Croatians working at a hydraulic plant nine miles away from the monastery had had their throats cut, partly in retaliation for what the rebels regarded as ongoing mistreatment of Muslims in Bosnia at the time, partly because the Croatians were foreign Christians.

There are two things here....where we are and where we will go to.
Today, It is important to keep a sense of perspective. If all muslims behaved like your model then there would be unlimited paranoi.
Of course the world is not perfect...but is it all the fault of the muslim...ofcourse not.
The infidel has every right to be comfortable and live in peace...and this must apply all over.
As for tomorrow, the muslim world recognises that Muhammed was a man of immense vision...a man of god....of Allah if you will...the muslim recognises this...and if his "polices" are watered down then ofcourse this will be resisted.
That Islam is going to have more & more influence in the world is true....and I have been saying it for a while here.
I have a vision of a USME (united states of the ME) but I think that Eurabia and Islamic States of America will come about first.
The Muslim will learn and adapt to/in the West first and then bring the global vision of a stable Islam to the ME.
This will be a mix of Sharia/democracy globally as the majority of people on Earth (Muslims) will demand it.
Everything thing else will have a lower priority.

Your broad asseration that muslims cannot think clearly and is probably meant to be offensive...and it is to an extent. I have both seen the muslims that you talk about and I cannot stomach them either, however I have come across some very clever muslims too. Dr. Zakir Niak for one...I listened to him quoting the Quaran and the bible....and he almost convinced me that Jesus was a muslim.

I don't know any really Muslims well, but the few I am most familiar with are mostly Pakistani and immigrated to Canada in the 1960s and 70s, people who came here long before the Wahhabis started spreading their poison and they are nice, peaceable people, and not just superficially. It may be hard to believe, given what we are seeing and hearing from the Islamists, that some Muslims can detach their faith in Allah from the words and deeds of Mohammed, but I'll tell you, as a secular Jew, I really had to squirm in a synagogue pew last spring during a bat mitzvah service when I heard some of the verses referring to the exodus from bondage in Egypt being read out. (Awfully triumphalist. Had to keep reminding myself of the context to keep it in perspective.)

Yes, there's a problem with Islam, as Irshad Manji, an ethnic Pakistani whose family came to Canada from Uganda after Idi Amin the cannibal expelled them because they had become the elite. (Oddly enough, Amin ended up converting to Islam and was given shelter in Egypt after he was deposed.) I don't dispute that Islam may have have more issues to address than many other religions I'm aware of. However, the best hope we have to avoid bloodshed that outstrips WW II is to foster reform is to look to the Naseems of the world and support them as best we can. This is not to say that we have no right to be critical or to exhert whatever pressure we can when we can. We're in a crisis mode.

I also suspect that we often sometimes misconstrue the point Naseem is trying to make. Sometimes it sounds like gloating, but when you read her slowly and carefully, I don't think that's really where she's coming from at all.

The reality is that there are over a billion Muslims in the world and they aren't going to suddenly either become apostates or vapourize in thin air. As a liberal Muslim intellectual now living in Italy put it, Muslims have a choice that they have to make: to either embrace the West and the many benefits that go with that or be damned to the existence of their 7th century ancestors.

I think Naseem is a Muslim who has embraced the West and recognizes the values, while retaining connections to her heritage through the aspects of Islam that are probably quite consistent with the basic tenets of Judaism and Christianity.

Right on!! The U.S. forces were using a collection of mostly .38 caliber revolvers, which were often not capable of stopping a charging Moro. John Browning designed the .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol), a robust sidearm with amazing stopping power. Catherine. It's well into dove season and I haven't been once yet. And last year was too wet.

Remington 870 is a great dual use weapon. Some research was done on combat loads during the Viet Nam war. The best overall combat load for the 12 gauge shotgun was found to be No. 4 buckshot, based on pattern spread, pattern density, and pellet penetration.

No. 8 for dove.

And don't forget rifled slugs. They will penetrate an Al Queda car door much better than a 9mm pistol bullet.
