LONDON, September 22 (IranMania) - EU military attaches walked out in protest at a parade in Tehran Thursday after ballistic missiles were rolled past carrying vitriolic anti-US and Israeli slogans, diplomats told AFP."There was a common position among the European Union members that, if the military parade included any slogans that attacked our allies, we would leave," said a diplomat.
"The military attaches from the embassies of France, Italy, Greece and Poland were present at the parade, and when they saw the slogans they promptly left," said another diplomat.
At the parade, Iran showed off six of its Shahab-3 medium-range ballistic missiles sporting banners reading "Death to America", "We will crush America under our feet", "Death to Israel" and "Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth".
"They may be just slogans, but for us they are unacceptable," one of the diplomats said.

I hate to break it to this clueless dipple, but these are not just slogans.
Perhaps it's time to send these Iranian dogs a message by taking out one of their major trade routes. They've been rattling their sabres long enough, and they need to be reminded just how fast their world can be turned upside down for them.
Nothing too major, just something to affect their economy for a while.
Just slogans?!? Umm …that’s a very diplomatic way for a diplomat to describe “Death to America” and all of the other nonsense written.
So what are we supposed to glean from these obvious anti-American and anti-Israeli things written on the sides of their missiles …that they want to hug and kiss us into oblivion? Hell no! They mean what they say: Death to America! What kind of ‘slogan’ is that other than inflammatory, hateful, and maliciously intended? They want us dead, they come right out and say it, they slap it on the sides of their missiles, then turn around and tell us they only want to make power, not nuclear weapons with their little science experiments –they’re not fooling me, the other readers on this site, but they’re damn well pulling the wool over the eyes of those in charge around here.
When is the American government going to stand up, treat them like they threat they are, and put an end to it all? Does it take Israel having to knock out a few of their facilities as they did in Iraq? Does it take having to take a first strike here before leveling their entire existence?
I’ve never before been one to believe in such extreme measures, but it’s almost getting to the point where someone’s going to have to wipe out an extremely large population of people in order to save the majority of people on this earth. An entire religion’s going to have to be re-thought and re-classified not as a religion, but as the cult of terror it really is.
Extreme times call for extreme measures. We’re not there yet, but how long before we’re past the point of no return …?

The fundamental error is in infantilizing the Iranians. It would be a great favor to the world if the EU states were to announce a policy of simply treating Iranian pronouncements as seriously as they would treat pronouncements from the US, Germany, or Italy, starting in 2007. This would provide several benefits. It would give Iran a whole year to get its rhetorical house in order so the change in response would be no surprise and it would hopefully lead to the Iranians growing up. If not, then it would lead to them getting a new government because what they say is intolerable if it were treated seriously.

Nobody is idjit-free but with the exception of our resident trolls and a few commentors who, despite their hearts and minds being in the right place, sometimes let the momentum get away from them, we are a pretty sensible bunch. Damned good-looking too.
Soak up what you read and pass it on around your home and work location. Write to your local paper. I'm still trying to gauge the level of truth I can include in a "Letter to the Editor" to my local rag that will convey my point and still get past the PC censors. It's a finesse issue. Get yourself a few "Defeat Jihad" stickers, mine created a buzz almost instantly.

Even though the Mullahs tell us their true intentions, in words we understand, written across ballistic missiles, we still play this stupid game - & on their terms.
Why can't our esteemed leaders see & understand the Mullahs ambitions?
Why are we allowing China & Russia to stop us doing what we all know needs to be done, & will be done - either on Iran's terms or ours?
If China & Russia want to support the Mullahs, we should ready all possible sanctions against them.
A completely meaningless exercise that will achieve nothing, apart from convincing the gentlemen involved that they are all a swell bunch of guys who really do have principles and who really know how to stand by their allies.

Those 'slogans' were not there to impress westerners. They were there to whip up frenzy among the mob. Muslims never get a chance to get 'unwhipped'. Not one of them realizes that they are being manipulated and used, not by Allah, but by mullahs, Imams and Ayatollahs, who further their own agendas, and feather their own nests. L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology said it best. Paraphrasing a little, "If you want to become a millionaire, start your own religion". Thats what Mohammad did and it worked for him. After he died, Abu Bakr kept the structure alive and it worked for him also. It has worked for a long string of Mohammads religious, political and corporate decendents to this very day. Islam is like a pyramid scheme, a whole lot of ignorant believers and dhimmis pay the taxes demanded, plus foreign aid, plus what can be stolen, and a whole lot of money and power rise like cream to the top. There a thick layer is scraped off and put into the pockets of upperechelonians. One fifth for Allah, four fifths for the raiders.
