CHARLES CLARKE was criticised yesterday for talking tough on terrorism to the EU, but failing to order the deportation of extremist clerics from Britain.The Home Secretary demanded tougher intelligence gathering powers within the EU to combat terrorism and said that laws preventing people being deported to places where they faced persecution might have to change....
After the July 7 bombings, Tony Blair insisted that the “rules of the game” had changed and two weeks ago Mr Clarke announced new rules for deportations with a pledge that moves would take effect “very quickly. The next few days.” Since then no action has been taken against any extremist under those rules. Immigration officials and police were given a list of targets to arrest, but the first raids were called off at the last minute with no explanation.
This should surprise no one acquainted with the puff and bloww politics of Townee and his team. Make a lot of noise to give the impression you're doing something, till public interest inevitably wanes.

This will happen after the next attack on an English city - the slow smouldering fuse of English retribution is already lit - will it be defused by strong affirmative action by New Labour????? I somehow doubt it..
The backlash then will be real - not the phony MCB / Al Guardian / Al BBCeera hyped one after 7/7.
We, the people, will protect ourselves just as soon as the majority realise that their so called leaders are impotent, physically, intellectually & morally to fulfill their primary duty - defend the realm & its people.
And New Labour, Princess Tony & the Clown Prince Clarke will have no-one but themselves to blame for the coming civil conflict.

There was even a book published on it a while ago called "Londonistan" by Dominique Thomas a French author. "The Tottenham Ayatollah" a documentary about Omar Bakri and his insane ravings was made in 1997 and shown on Channel 4 for all to see- that's almost 10 years ago. One greatly mocked Tory MP at the time was a lone voice in the wilderness who warned about these fundamentalist extremists and managed to get Bakri's benefits cut off. The wily and previously nimble cleric then acquired a walking stick so he could pass himself off as "disabled" and carry on bleeding the British State dry.

One of the signs of a decadent mind is the belief that every problem can be dealt with by devising the right verbal formula -- preferably one that will fit into a sound bite -- in response. Unfortunately, that describes almost the whole contemporary political class.
After 7/7 and the abortive terror attack that followed, I predicted that Tony Blair, with his exquisite sense of wind direction, would "talk tough" for a while ("The rules are changing"). Maybe a few psychotic imams would be asked to pack their bags. But all the action would be token and symbolic. In Britain, the unholy trinity of politicians, media, and academia have been marinated in political correctness and multi-culturalism for so long that they simply can't grasp the reality that they have enemies, people who want them converted to Islam or dead.
I agree that when the all-but-inevitable next, and more destructive, Islamic terrorist act occurs it will concentrate many minds wonderfully. How many innocent people will have to die or be maimed unnecessarily because al-Guardian, the BBC, the Islington twit wits et al. carry on being willfully ignorant?
One thing that made me feel at least hopeful as I was wending my way home this evening tho is this - Noo Labour, with all its emphasis on polling and focus groups, wouldnt be talking the tough language if they hadnt been getting warnings that the public mood demanded it.
Now, lets see if we can keep people's attention on the problem and get them to hold the New Dhimmi's to their words...

There is simmering discontent with political leader's inability to grasp the threat of islamic terrorism, not just in Britain but across Europe. When the final straw breaks, there will be hell to pay for all.
Of course our present leaders will be sheltered from the ensuing mayhem. While we suffer the consequences of their idiocy, they would have retired behind highest security our money can buy.
Omar Bakri has asked Muslims to leave the UK as it is not a place where Muslims should be, he is still claiming that he did not incite terrorism.

For the last year, Omar Bakri has been entreating his fellow muslims to leave Britain.
I find this very perplexing. Now it seems to me, and probably many on this forum, that the islamisation of Britain is going far better then any islamist could have anticipated. Yet here is Bakri, who I suppose has a hand on the pulse of British islam, encouraging muslims to get out of Britain. So what gives?
Only two reasons come to mind
1. He believes that the islamist project in Britain is bound to fail, and more inverstment is a waste of time.
2. He is fearful that muslims in Britain, particularly the young, are getting ready to abandon islam. At the moment they are sitting on the fence, but a slight shove one way or other, could spell disaster for the ummah, both here and worldwide. He must have noted the disastrous effects on the reputation of islam, in the aftermath of the London massacre of innocents.
Bakri doesn't have the intelligence to realise that the softly softly approach is the one that works best as recommended by Tariq Ramadam. The political class, the media and the public services between them began the process through their "diversity" and "sensitivity awareness" brainwashing, purging people's verbal interraction of anything they perceived as "racist." The punishment for breaking the rules was social isolation, being publicly shamed and even job loss - a form of bullying in order to achieve extreme Government intrusion and social engineering. We were then persuaded to view minorities, asylum seekers and, above all, Muslims as "victims" even when some of them were blatantly taking advantage of us, abusing our hospitality, welfare and legal system and generally making a nuisance of themselves when it would have been better to insist on their integration. Is it surprising that Muslims have three times the unemployment rate of any other ethnic minority in the UK? Those are the Government's official figures. Only 38% are actually in work. Amongst the women, there is a staggering 68% of unemployment. The "citizen test" should have been from the beginning, not what can we do for you but what can you do for us? Even some of the bleeding heart liberals are now a little nervous about the Pandora's box they've opened. There have been some timid attempts to discuss "multiculturalism." I laughed out loud last week when the BBC put on a radio programme called "straw poll" to discuss multiculturalism with various Muslim self appointed spokesmen and found that the listeners polled very differently from their handpicked "culturally aware" audience. The presenter actually sounded surprised. These people don't even know how out of touch they are. There's already a backlash out there - mostly people are disgruntled and complain in private but it might turn into something uglier if these people don't come down off their high horses mighty quick.
