LEEDS, England - British Muslims said Friday they felt profound shock watching a video of a London suicide bomber seeking to justify the carnage — erasing any doubt a homegrown cell carried out the July 7 attack and that its members were inspired by al-Qaida.For one of his friends, the sight of purported ringleader Mohammed Sidique Khan — speaking in a Yorkshire accent and wearing a red-and-white keffiyeh in the farewell message broadcast on al-Jazeera — verged on the surreal.
"We were all shocked and horrified when we saw the video itself," Irshad Hussain said in this gritty northern city where Khan grew up. "We are just devastated for what we had just heard and what we had seen on TV. ... I couldn't believe it was actually him talking on the screen."
Khan's farewell message was broadcast Thursday alongside a video of al-Qaida's No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahri, warning of more attacks.
Labour Party lawmaker Shahid Malik — a Muslim who represents the Dewsbury neighborhood in West Yorkshire where Khan had lived since February — told the BBC that the tape would put to rest rumors that he and the three other bombers were somehow set up.
"There is a hardcore rump within the British Muslim community that didn't actually believe somehow that Sidique and his cohorts were responsible," Malik said. "Rampant conspiracy theories mushroomed out of control."
Yes, yes, Malik, everyone knows the Jews did it. Now: when are you going to wake up to reality and face the fact that the jihad ideology has been preached in British mosques for years, such that your shock act is simply unconvincing?

As far as I know, besides Satanic cults, Islam is the only "religion" on Earth that incorporates a doctrine of deceit in its canon. It is the reason that diplomatic relations with Muslim countries is a waste of effort. The only treaties worth pursuing with them are those like the one "negotiated" by Captain Stephen Decatur with the dey of Algiers in 1815 that Decatur proudly described in his dispatch to the Navy Secretary as a treaty "dictated at the mouths of our cannons."
Does anyone here really believe that this video will be enough to convince muslims that these suicide bombing were indeed committed by fellow British muslims and not part of a nefarious Jewish plot as many muslims were claiming? I wouldn't hold my breath on that. I still see the rumours of the 9-11 bombings being a Jewish plot rampant within muslim chat groups despite the airing of numerous videos that show Osama Bin Laden proudly taking credit for these bombings.
Don't worry, Tariq Ramadan will soon solve this perplexing conundrum for us. After all, he is a noted expert on all aspects of European Islam, including Yorkshire Islam, Kashmiri Islam, Palestinian Islam, and Iraqi Islam.

OFF TOPIC: The Islamic agenda exposed in South London.
I usually post under another name but since this post will reveal some details which may lead to me being identified I'm being careful.
Yesterday evening I attended an invitation only meeting which was addressed by Dr. Patrick Sookdheo of the Barnabas Fund. It was held in the part of South London which came into focus after the second series of (botched) bombings.
Dr. Sookdheo did not skirt around the issues and starkly outlined the Islamic strategy to take over Britain's inner cities. What was particularly helpful was the fact that he backed everything he said up with media reports, statistics, agendas of meetings etc. His talk was basically a presentation of the data contained in Islam in Britain. The Barnabas website says the following about this book:

It was heartening to see so many people being forcefully confronted by the issues that we have been discussing on this forum. What was even more heartening was to see how well Dr. Sookdheo's words were received. I saw only one person leaving in a huff (after some remarks on the CofE's softly-softly approach to Islam).
The Barnabas Fund seems to be on the forefront of alterting UK society to the 'gorilla in the sitting room'. Please support their efforts. If you pray, please also pray for Patrick's safety. In addition to saying some things that angers the Muslim community he is also an apostate in their eyes!
I'll definitely buy that book but I can't see it getting any publicity especially from our Islamo friendly media such as the al-BBCeera and the al-Guardianistan who prefer to employ individuals such as Saad-al-Fagih who claimed that "no one will be more pleased than Osama Bin Laden with the new measures proposed by Tony Blair.... this will leave the west open to eventual defeat by Muslims." In a devastating report in the satirical magazine "Private Eye" an article revealed "Saad-al-Fagih was described by the Guardian as "a leading exiled Saudi dissident and director of the Movement for Islamic Reform in Saudi Arabia." What the paper neglected to add is that last December the United Nations added al-Fagih's name to its official list of individuals belonging to or related to Osama bin Laden and the Al-Qaida organisation........Several readers have written to point out the ommission, not one of their letters have been printed." This is the type of media who are running the show in the UK.
The al-Guardianistan ran an article this morning where a lot of prominence was given to relatives and friends denying that bomber Khan was ever involved in the London bombings and was a jolly decent chap. The video, they claimed, had been manipulated.

That must have been a great privilege to hear Revd Dr Sookdheo in person. I so agree with you about the work of the Barnabas Fund which I picked up on from their leaflets on the bookstall at my own church. I drop assorted articles behind me on the train and other places in the hope that people will read and ponder. If I get a chance to observe reaction it is the Barnabas prayer request sheet that attracts the most interest.
Of course I will continue to pray for the Sookdheo family, and everyone else here.

What group will sponsor Patrick Sookhdeo on a lecture tour, with a long stop, and lots of meeitings and media appearances, in Washington?
Why does not some producer, some reporter, some intern at "60 Minutes" and other such programs decide to do an interview with Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo? What about one of the clear-headed writers who appears in the press -- someone who has not swalloed the Democracy-is-on-the-March strategy (George Will, for example) -- bringing to the attention of the American public the life and work of Patrick Sookhdeo, and of others like him?
And will the editorial boards of The Wall Street Journal, The New Duranty Times, The Bandar Beacon, be willing to meet with Dr. Sookhdeo? With Bat Ye'or? With a hundred others? Any possibility? Any coverage of the work of the real writers, not the false, on Islam, or is it going to be Irshad Manji representing the "reformers," all henna-hair and self-promotion? Or still worse, those suffering from the Weiss-Schwartz Syndrome, still persona grata at places like My Weekly Standard?
So now that the heat is on -- and now that lies about Islam not having anything to do with violence or jihad has no credibility whatsoever -- the REAL TINY MINORITY --- that is, the so-called "moderate" Muslims begin to fess up -- 'OK -- so maybe Islam does have something to do with all the violence after all... but trust us -- we're gonna clean up this mess -- don't worry!"
Well -- the worst possible outcome would be for people to continue to believe the "moderates" about ANYTHING. They are liars -- they have been liars all along -- Why should we begin to believe them when they begin to fess up to the bloody nature of their religion only because it is preposterous to maintain the lie any longer -- They have simply shifted their tactics to further Islam by posing as 'awakened' Muslims who now recognize that reform is necessary -- If the West now rallies to their side in the vain hope that this 'tiny minority of moderates' will EVER change the intrinsic nature of the jihad, then we will be signing up for many more decades of Islam's continuing flim flam of the world.
ISLAM will never change -- as long as Muslims perceives their tactics are working to spread Islam -- there is absolutely no incentive for them to stop -- We have three choices:
1.) Surrender to Islam...
2.) Buy into the lie that Islam can reform
3.) Begin work to eradicate the poisonous ideology of Islam...
Options 1 & 2 guarantee that the world will continue to suffer in the thrall of this malignant pathogen of Islam for PERPETUITY...
Option 3 offers hope to mankind to finally shake off the shackles of 1400 years of hatred, backwardness, true oppression, genocide, and the Islamic annihilation of world cultures...
There is only one choice that makes sense to me -- #3. Sadly we will probably continue on option # 2 until option #1 becomes inevitable due to sheer exhaustion and demographics, or option #3 becomes so self evident to every non-Muslim that nobody will longer question its correctness. My question is, what will it take to convince the rest of mankind that the only option we really have is to destroy the cancer of Islam before it eats us up?
Britain's capital has been repeatedly called "Londonistan" by observers frustrated by the British authorities's failure or unwillingness to oppose the vicious jihad/hate inciters operating there. Now, the British govt got a concrete warning a few years ago that the incitement that they have been tolerating under the guise of "freedom of speech" was leading to concrete murderous acts. Magdi Allam pointed out in the Corriere della Sera of 13 July 2005 that the Brit govt had two years since the bombing in a Tel Aviv bar [Mike's Place, in 2003] that killed three people, not to mention a second terrorist whose bomb didn't work and was later found dead in the sea. These two were both British citizens of Pakistani origin who were willing to come all the way to Tel Aviv to murder Jews. Why didn't the authorities consider then that they had people at home who would do the same in the UK to whomever they considered enemies of Islam or justified targets of jihad? If the thought did enter their minds, then why didn't they act on it in a big way, rather than doing the merely "superficial" actions that they took, according to Allam?
After all, if governmental authorities don't act, who is going to protect the average citizen and what can he do by himself? Do they intend to drive the average citizen to vigilantism? If average citizens do "take the law into their own hands," then they may meet sharper governmental suppression than the terrorists and the jihad inciters do.
I do stand by my view that the Brits deserved it in some ways. Britian and (other European countries) had turned a blind eye to Islamic radicalism. Its time to pay the price.
KKK, by that standard every country in the World that has been ravaged by Islam deserves it, including India whose leaders have shown an even more dhimmi attitude towards muslims than the Brits. I'm sure, for example, you wouldn't feel too amused if an Israeli were to tell you that India deserves all the terrorist jehadist attacks on its soil for their continued support of Arafat and the Palestinian cause over all the past 5 decades. Yes, the British and the US governments have paid a blind eye to the terrorism that was unleashed in Kashmir (and remember much of the money and arms that USA supplied to the Pakistani establishment and the Afghani mujahideen was syphoned off to these jehadists) thinking that the hands they fed surely wouldn't ever bite them back. Guess what, it did! But to say that the Brits or the Americans 'deserved' what they got as just rewards for their actions/inactions is going way too far! I don't see any point in playing the blame game when it comes to pinpointing how and why the Islamists have managed to rise to the threat level they are right now. There is plenty of blame that can be levelled at almost all the governments in the World (including, as I said before, our own dhimmi Indian government). As I see it, Islam threatens the whole world and people are slowly (and hopefully, surely) waking up to this reality. What is needed, more than anything else, is for the non-muslims to present a united front against Islam. This means that the usual short-sighted politics of being accomodative to muslim interests that most governments have engaged in the past have to be changed. And for that to happen, each of us have to do our bit in spreading the truth about Islam. There is no doubt in my mind that the sort of work Mr. Spenser is doing (with hosting this site and writing his superb books) is going a long way towards dispelling the myths about Islam that is so prevalent.
