Hamas To Convert Synagogue to Weapons Museum

Charles at LGF says it best: "Where the hell is the world’s outrage about this? Newsweek prints a false rumor that a Koran was dunked in a toilet, and the entire planet goes nuts. Hamas announces that they’re going to turn a Jewish house of worship into a memorial to mass murder ... and the silence is absolutely deafening." From the New York Sun, with thanks to all who sent this in:

WASHINGTON - Emboldened by Israel's withdrawal from Gaza and part of the West Bank, Hamas yesterday announced its plan to turn a synagogue in Netzarim into a museum that would display weapons employed by the terrorist group's members against Israeli civilians.

A statement issued yesterday by Hamas said, "Qassam rockets and other locally made arms will be exposed, since it is the legal weapon that evicted the occupation forces." The Middle East Media Research Institute yesterday reported that recent sermons delivered by Hamas leaders pledged to resist efforts from the Palestinian Authority to disarm the organization ahead of upcoming elections....

And in the face of this glorification of brutality, the free world is folding up:

So far, America and its allies have accepted that there is little Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas can do to tame Hamas. On Tuesday the Quartet, a diplomatic group comprising America, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations, released a statement that envisioned the disarming of Hamas in phases and not necessarily as a precondition for its participation in parliamentary elections on January 25.

"We also agreed that ultimately those who want to be part of the political process should not engage in armed group or militia activities," the joint statement said. "For there is a fundamental contradiction between such activities and the building of a democratic state."

Charles should know that calm, rational, civilized people don't usually fly off into a rage when a non-historical inanimate thing is hurt. Not even the craziest, red-eyed Christian, Jew, Buddhist, or whatever would kill anyone over a goddam book. Not even their holy book.

Off course, I said "civilized" and "rational" people. Some people don't fit that description.

If the weapons are still in working order . . . it's a mosque then - isn't it?

Brings to mind a scene from 'Beneath the planet of the apes' where the mutants live in the Forbidden Zone and worship an atomic bomb they believe is an instrument of peace.

Duct tape, TNT, entrails, and rocks will headline this extravaganza.

I know the Israelis chose not to defy Jewish law and destroy their own houses of worship (knowing full well the muslim savages would probably do it anyway). But now that the Netzarim synagogue has has been converted into a hamas armory, isn't there an Israeli missle that would solve this problem?

I for one am shocked that after Israel's generous offer to make Gaza Judenrein, that the response was not a heartfelt "Thank you!" from the "Palestinians". I was sure that peace would follow appeasement. I was sure that now the world press would accurately portray events in the ME, and that the U.N. would give long flowery speeches in Israel's honor. I was sure that the Bush administration would change their dangerous "Roadmap" policy.

Who could have possibly predicted this?

Obviously the answer is to cede MORE territory to the "Palestinians". This time it'll work for sure.

Mahmoud Al Zahar on Dutch TV to Dutch reporters in Gaza last night:

1)We will not disarm Hamas.
2)All the land of Israel is Palestine.
3)We will not accept secularism in Palestine, for Allah is our leader and He gives us orders. The land is his.
4)We will not stop Al Qaida from entering Gaza.
5)The French left Algeria after 130 years, The British left Egypt after 82 years, The Jews will leave all of Palestine, from Jordan to Egypt, from Lebanon to the Red Sea, soon as well.
6)All muslims in the world think in their heart that the land of Palestine was meant for Arabs, not for Jews.
7)Our next goals is to liberate the West Bank and Al Quds. We will do this with arms.

This is a distraction. The synagogue was decommissioned when the Jews left. It was a building.

Picture Larry, Curly and Moe storing the weapons (which are soon to blow up in a work related accident) in a building. Exchange the whoopwhoopwhoopwhoop for ulululululu. You'd laugh.

It's a distraction because it's easier to be incensed about something that makes no difference at all than to actually take action that will make a difference.

Why care what the rest of the world thinks? It's going to hell in a speedboat anyway. If Jews continue to take all this nonsense personally, no gains will be made. Just like across the rest of the world, Israel needs to be less emotional and more proactive in fighting the Jihad.

Cut off the ties with these ham actors, no medical treatments, no subsidies, no nothing. Deny them and contain them.

Good Shabbos.

More celebrations today in Gaza:

"A truck filled with masked militants and homemade weapons exploded at a Hamas rally Friday, killing at least 15 Palestinians and wounding 80 including children bringing a grisly and terrifying end to one of the last gatherings by armed groups celebrating Israel's Gaza pullout."

and this:

"A Hamas weapons warehouse exploded this month in Gaza City, killing six people. Hamas claimed it was an Israeli attack, but Palestinian security forces found the blast was an accident caused by the militants."

and my personal favorite:

"During an Islamic Jihad rally at the abandoned Jewish settlement of Netzarim last week, a gunman died after accidentally shooting himself in the head. "

Man, those mohammedans sure know how to party!

I couldn't help but laugh and rejoice when I read the piece.
