Moderate British Muslims Reach Out

[Note from Robert Spencer: I am pleased to introduce yet another new Jihad Watch News Editor, Eric Schwappach. I hope our increased number of posters will enable us to improve our international coverage of jihad, which is already unparalleled anywhere -- if I do say so myself!]

Can moderate Muslims integrate their youth into British society? From the United Press International:

In the wake of this summer's bombing attacks in Britain, moderate Muslims are reaching out to their young to influence them positively.

Why does it take a tragedy like the London tube bombings to motivate moderate Muslims to influence their young in a more positive way? How were their youths motivated prior to the terror attacks?

Since the attacks moderate Muslim voices have become stronger. Munaf Zeena, who runs a Muslim center in London, believes that to defeat extremism a sense of community needs to be created, the Times said. He mentors boys, and insists what sets them apart from the bombers is a strong sense of community and a correct interpretation of Islam.

Mr. Zeena must be talking about the extended community, which includes the indigenous British, and not the "ummah," the community of Muslim believers.

He also believes the role of the masque must be limited. "Mosques are places of worship," he told the Times. "Those that want to see mosque being used for the purposes that Prophet Muhammad used the Medina mosque should be aware that we live in a different age."

This is a surprising admission, but one that is the essential first step for Muslims to integrate into the non-Islamic world at large.

Once again we are talking about a "Moderate Muslim" Its only in ones imagination!!!
This creature does not exist. Period.
There is only one kind of Muslim, no matter how you cut it, that is one who believes without reservation in the words of a child molesting, psycopathic criminal as gospel. Muslims must accept his word that (God) Allah spoke to him and beleive what is said in the Quran. Muslims must accept slavery, subjugate women, use sharia law and its enforcers to keep one in line. They must participate in jihad as an 'obligation', and wage a constant battle against non-belivers.
Now that is a Muslim.
Willing participation in Islam is a form of self abuse that debases humankind, look around the world, what does one see, the countries where the majority is Muslim is mired in humnan rights abuse, poverty & illiteracy, they are so wretched that even the Muslims are trying to escape. Look at all the asylum seekers, the majority are Muslims.
They live like 'human beings' when they come to the west, but as they do not assimilate with the indigenous population, after a few years in the west, a metamorphosis takes place. They try to impose their way of life, which they believe to be commanded by God. They literally believe individuals like the Pakistani theorist Maududi, who stated that "Non-mulims have absolutely no right to seize the reins of power in any part of God’s earth nor to direct the collective affairs of human beings according to their own misconceived doctrines." If they do, "the believers would be under an obligation to do their utmost to dislodge them from political power and to make them live in subservience to the Islamic way of life."

The Muslims in the west use any excuse to attack our way of life by imagining offences against their ummah, they arouse and enrage the ire of the disgrunted youth, to wage (Jihad)holy war. But their grievances constantly change: the one constant is the imperative to expand, to conquer, to subjugate and get control.

Good luck in this self policing, but one shouldn't hold one's breath.

It is all Muslims' problem - for them to solve, not us - and until then, keep your powder dry,

and take out the Jihadis,

their recruiters,

their cheering section,

and their enablers.

The Uma understands only force, and will be at our heels or at our throat.

Which would you prefer ?

"He also believes the role of the masque must be limited."

Woops -- an unintended but rather apt slip there. Yes, the al-taqyah "masque" must be limited -- eliminated, if possible.

-- if for nothing else, so that we may see the red death behind it more clearly.

I would like to know what and how "Moderate" Muslims thinks, in what ways is their faith followed? How do you ask? Some say OBL is a extremist, others say he should be given allegiance. Which is it?

In the 911 Report (pg161), Mohamed Atta is described as having" adopted fundamentalism" , then two paragraphs down, it talks of his "shared extremist outlook". What view is correct?

Only by nailing down what crosses the line in these two views can a clear picture be presented for all to see.

"He also believes the role of the masque must be limited."
-- from the article

No, no. Must be a misprint. Muaf Zeena must have said that he believes "the role in the masque must be limited." Masque, as in "Comus," a masque possibly even staged by some latter-day Inigo Jones. And apparently there was this one fellow in a crowd who instead of merely mouthing "rhubarb rhubarb" as RADA had taught him, turned out to be a determined scene-stealer, who actually said the phrases aloud and flounced about to get attention, hoping that there was a Hollywood agent in the crowd. Which is why Musaf Zeena noted that a certain fellow's "role in the masque must be limited."
