BUENOS AIRES -- Police have briefly detained dozens of Muslim missionaries from the Arab world and South Asia in recent months, acting on tips from Spanish and Italian officials investigating terrorist attacks in Europe.Argentine newspapers reported that 26 members of Jamaat Tabligh, an Islamic missionary sect, had been held, questioned and released.
European investigators suspect Jamaat Tabligh of involvement in the March 2004 Madrid train bombings that killed nearly 200 people, according to a report in the La Nacion newspaper.
The newspaper said the missionaries entered Argentina earlier this year on a possible recruitment mission.
Felipe Sola, governor of the state of Buenos Aires, confirmed that seven Jamaat Tabligh adherents from Qatar and Egypt were detained three months ago in his jurisdiction.
Officials held the men for several hours, retaining their passports but ultimately releasing them because they had not violated the law, Mr. Sola said. Malaysian, Pakistani and South African nationals were also detained in other parts of the country.
Security services in Latin America can deal in a different way with such problems. The legal inhibitions that hobble American efforts are not present in the same way.
The American government and the Vatican should both encourage anti-Da'wa measures, legal and informal, and should also encourage Latin American governments and peoples to look at what has happened in Europe with its Muslim population. It has to be kept in check the way one would any threat -- like the Jakob-Kreutzfeldt virus, the belief-system of Islam attacks the brain first, and can spread, and it almost always -- not always, but almost always -- can be fatal for a society that does not stop its spread in the early stages.
Of particular interest is the Arab and Muslim effort to convert people in Latin America who will then move northward, into the United States which is, after all, the most powerful and resolute enemy, or is perceived as such, of Islam and its spread through Jihad. That is why Latin America is of such importance in this matter, and why the American government should redirect of the money and attention and manpower now being squandered to bring "democracy" (but not demoralization, or division, to Islam itself) to Iraq, to this anti-Jihad effort in Latin America.
Sadly, Latin America has embraced the Arab world. Recall that big meeting several months back between the Arab states and Latin American leaders where they announced new trade relations and cultural exchanges. The Latin America leaders love bashing the US, the evil Satan. Sounds familiar? Like the left in the US, they would rather ignore the truth about Islam, and ally themselves with a snake, as long as that snake is attacking the US.

Nearly 85% of the business owners on Margarita, Venezuela's largest tourist island, are Arab Muslims. Chavez is a big fan of Islam. America's enemies are his friends.
An area known as the Muslim triangle, which is located in the tri-border area of Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina has a huge Muslim population, and in addition to that is very hard to control, thus making it lawless. Meetings between terrorist leaders and other terrorist operatives occur there frequently.

Arab money can buy the same kind of local assistance, apologists and appeasers, that in the last few decades it managed to buy in Western Europe and North America, with considerably more bang for the buck. And widespread resentment of the Colossus of the North may have the same effect in Latin America, in preparing people to let their guard down with Islam as, within Europe, exploitation by Arab and Muslim agents of the pre-existing mental condition of anti-Americanism -- which often has as little to do with the real America, and far more to do with an imaginary villain named "America" mentally spelled "Amerika" -- has helped limit the awareness of, much less opposition to, Muslim goals, and Muslim penetration, through Da'wa and demographic conquest, of Infidel lands.
Inattention by the American government to Latin America is a direct result of the crazed and monomaniacal focus on (but without understanding of) Iraq, in this misleading and mis-named "war on terror" on Iraq (or on handing out even more money to placate various Arab and Muslim peoples and polities, including malevolent and corrupt Egypt and Pakistan, and the even more malevolent and even more corrupt "Palestinian" Authority.
One more reason, not the first and not the last, to get out of Iraq, stop prating about the "war on terror," and realizing that the islamization of Europe, or of Latin America, as it proceeds without being opposed, without anyone daring to suggest why it should be opposed, is a greater threat to the wellbeing of Americans and other Infidel members of the Western world than anything likely to happen now, between Shi'a and Sunni, in Iraq.
A little application of intelligence, of both kinds, would go a long way in reallocating resources, and in knowing what resources to allcoate in the first place.

Is there some way you could give me information regarding further reading.I want to study as much of islam as possible, on a know your enemy basis.I have a list of books but need assistance to find the most pertinent volumes.
You seem knowledgable and I need some help.
