However benign the Muslim Brotherhood portrays itself today, their past and present influence still affects relations between the Islamic world and Israel. From the IQNA:
The head of the Muslim Brotherhood in Kuwait has warned Arab leaders that the normalization of relations with Israel constitutes a “crime against Islam.”Speaking at a diplomatic reception for Arab and Muslim envoys on Saturday, 'Abdallah Al-Mutawwa', the leader of Social Islam Society, said, “Palestinians are killed, their houses demolished and land confiscated while we are rushing for normalization with the Zionist regime”
Al-Mutawwa’s comments were sparked by word that Bahrain has ended its boycott of Israeli goods and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf’s recent overtures towards the Jewish state.
Bahrain’s foreign minister told government ministers and legislators that the nation had no intention of normalizing relations with Israel.
Where is the ideal Islamic brotherhood? Islam, perceived to be an egalitarian religion is too divided between the poor and the rich. The poor Muslim is often cannon-fodder and a pray to the whims of his/her rich counterpart, claiming to adhere to the lofty principles of Islam.
Atleast Abd Al-Mutawwa is speaking the truth. Each and everyone sitting there thinks the same as AaM but put on the hypocrite mask of Islam when facing the world.
Are we beginning to see a tidal shift? This from the Huffington Post no less:

After careful study of the Koran, other sacred texts and fatwas issued to govern Muslim minds about what is and isn't "Islamic," one comes to the conclusion that there is very little that non-Muslims can do that will not be labeled "a crime against Islam."
Muslims suffer the same fate as they are required to inquire and confirm that their every action and thought conform to Islam, making many into "criminals against Islam." This system instlls and maintains Islamic principles first through social intimidation, and if that doesn't work, through the use of violence. Study of current events demonstrates that there must be many Muslims that are considered to have committed "crimes against Islam."
Only a fool woud want to live under this system.

In the era of computers all one must do is type "Koran" into a search engine, followed by "Jews" in a search engine, to understand why the Koran should be banned in every nation with hate-speech laws.
What a shock !
That these bastards of the religion of peace havent changed their tune.
Even now they must be sending out their orders to the explode dopes in Gazastan.
A crime against Islam indeed! To despise the Jews, as they do, is a crime against humanity!
tokyobk, nice article; but, egad.. look at the comments on the linked site! Just shows that we have a long way to go before we can get a sizable majority of non-muslims to remove the wool that they stupidly put over their own eyes.
Razdan and tokyobk:
Sam Harris recently published a book entitled "End of Faith". A friend of mine who is an athiest and on the anti-regime change left bought a copy, thinking the book is all about the former. It actually delves into a number of moral/philosophical issues including whether the use of opiates, etc., should be decriminalized and whether torture can be justified under certain very specific circumstances per Dershowitz. If you haven't read it, it's one hell of a book. Definitely not what you'd think Huffington would buy into, but who knows. Maybe the some of the anti-regime changers are having a harder time dismissing the evils of Saddam and the so-called "insurgents" than they did on the eve of the invasion. How else can you account for the puny turn-out for the recent anti-war rallies held around the world?
The comments at the end of the post

are absolutely infuriating. What is it going to take to wake the LLL up? Their war is against Christ.
From the comments,
RAH RAH RAH!!!
SUPPORT THE TROOPS!!!
What is it about you americans and your love of War?
I do believe that nuance and thoughtfulness existed in the american soul, but those times are sadly past.
Whoa boy! Aren't we superior!? Where pray tell is this guy from? Mars? Venus? I don't believe any country on this planet is free from the history of warfare. I am really sick of this "oh, I'm from (fill in appropriate country or continent), and we have it all figured out." Just wait Mr. Superior, your turn with jihad is coming.
C2 ~
Seriously.
America is like a bewildered Godmother that has recently taken in two orphans. We have a tyrannical, snot nosed toddler with a piercing scream and no history of discipline: the greater Muslim world. We also have a spoiled, willful, pseudo-intellectual teenager convinced of his brilliance and resentful of the strong hands that protect it from the dangers of this ugly world: Europe.
Fortunately, we have Auntie Britain and Auntie Australia to take the kids once in a while, but good grief...
Mad Jack
One thing I noticed about the comments was that no one tried to defend Islam. Most people spent their time equating Islam with Christianity and Judaism or with religion in general. I'm a Christian and I abhor some of what was done in the past in the name of Christ. However, only a closed-minded idiot would compare Christianity or religion in general to Islam. With some exceptions, secularists/atheists seem to be the ones spouting this nonsense the most. Either they see this as an opportunity to bash all religion or they are stuck in the brainwashed state of "all religions are the same." Even in the Old Testament, while the Jews were commanded to take over a specific area, they weren't commanded to take over the world or slay unbelievers. I just don't get it.
Also, for those people who like throwing around Bible verses, let's look at the two listed in one post about how the Bible is just as bad as the Koran.
II Chronicles 15:13
That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
The context of this verse is an oath sworn by the Israelites and king Asa after falling away from God. It has nothing to do with the Israelites leaving their lands and making the whole earth subject to Judaism. In other words, it's comparing apples to oranges.
Deuteronomy 13:6-13:10
Basically kill those who ask you to worship other Gods in Israel. Again, this isn't talking about outside the land of Israel. Also, the religions of that region weren't very benign since they included things like infant sacrifice.
Context is always important. The problem with Islam, is the greater understanding of the context leads you to greater violence.
A crime against islam? Where do I sign up?
You can not commit a crime against Islam.
Nobody can.
ISLAM IS A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY!

Am I right in my surmissal that you are citing a post on DW from the particularly egregious troll KingTolerance?
If so, I hope you socked it to him there and hard. Generally, not feeding trolls is a good policy, but KT is a particularly persistent and intellectually dishonest troll.
