Then he said the Soviet empire would disappear, and it happened. He also said that this evil man Saddam [Hussein] must be punished, and we see that he is under trial in his country. His eminency also said that the occupation regime of Qods [Jerusalem, or Israel] must be wiped off from the map of the world, and with the help of the Almighty, we shall soon experience a world without America and Zionism, notwithstanding those who doubt."

Of all places this report popped up on CNN. And leaders from all over Europe are calling in the Iranian ambassadors of their home country and laying into them. Even Kofi Annan with the UN jumped on board.
Tony Blaire had the most interesting comment, he said that he keeps getting asked "what" are you going to do about Iran, now he said he is getting asked "when". He also said that with comments like this it proves that Iran cannot have nuclear arms and that intervention will have to take place.
There are several calling for Iran to be expelled from the UN, because this is a directed violation to the UN charter.
The only country not saying anything is the US.

I am certainly a powerful philosophical ally of both Christians and Jews, yet I cannot help but reject a god that might ultimately judge a finite existence to an eternity of "hell". Assuming god exists and has created such a self ordered universe, I would venture to guess that this infinitely wise creator would only understand and offer infinite forgiveness...thus - no judgement of such shortly lived lives in the eyes of an ultimate immortal entity. Why not this kind of love without condition instead of judgement? Isn't this what humankind aspires too?

Considering how quickly the government steps in regarding massive damage with our borders, civilians may just roll up their sleeves and work the Muslims over on their own. Iran cannot wait. And action against Iran, which may require not one but a number of attacks to degrade, step by step, first this site and then that, of the Iranian nuclear project, so carefully spread out, may well be delayed, or policymakers hesitating in their planning, because those 140,000 American soldiers in Iraq are essentially hostages to likely Iranian retaliation. That retaliation could come in many forms. It could be in the form of missiles fired from Iran. It could be artillery barrages. It could be outright waves of Iranian basiji, whom no doubt would die in large numbers, but might also take too many Americans with them. It might be through the acts of well-trained Iranian agents already within Iraq, or by local Shi'a allies of Iran, stung by any American attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
That is not the main reason why the American troops should get out -- all of them -- within the next few months. But is a very good reason, among so many others.
And in the meantime, while we are waiting, and while the indignation and worry seems real, the United States should declare that any attack on Israel by Iran will be considered an attack on the United States itself, just as it has promised to behave with all of the members of NATO, many of which are not nearly as important to the sense of the West, to Western civilization, as Israel, and with it Jerusalem, so obviously are. If an attack on this or that new member of NATO can be regarded as triggering a response by all the members of NATO, then one of the chief sources of Western civilization, that of Israel, is fully entitled to the same guarantee. And should Jerusalem, or the rest of the Holy Land, be destroyed by Iranian or for that matter any other Muslim bombs, that would have terrible consequences for the very idea of the West.
Surely that is something that everyone of sense understands.
A FEASIBLE MEANS OF REMOVING THE IRANIAN THEOCRACY-THUGOCRACY:
1-) Considering that Iran's ruling party of mullahs has committed numerous crimes against humanity, there is a legitimate basis for taking international legal proceedings against it and for its removal from power. There is substantial evidence linking Iran to the war in Sudan and throughout sub-Saharan Africa, violence that has taken millions of lives. There is also plenty of evidence linking Iran to human trafficking and the slave trade. That evidence should be gathered and used to begin the process of legally removing the mullahs form power in international court of law.
2-)Present that evidence in an international counrt of law, say, for example, the Internation Criminal Court in Brussels and indict this regime for those crimes.
3-) Form an international posse and go after the Mullahs.
4-) Make an appeal to the Iranian populace (which has grown increasingly disenchanted with the Mullahs and Islam in general).
5-) Enter Iran with an international coalition of posse forces and join forces with the Iranian masses to remove the Mullahs from power by force and bring them into an international court of law.
6-)What was done in Iraq with the members of the Hussein dictatorship could serve as a model for what would eventually be done with the Mullahs.
Time is growing short. If we don't do this now we will be stuck having to attack Iran militarily and risk losing the support of the Iranian people which would be a shame in view of the fact that these people would actually like to be a friend of America's.
When anybody says they are going to kill you ALWAYS believe them. We absolutely must take this man at his word and hold his government to it. We will also have to address Iran's accomplice regimes for instance those of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. They will probably require removal by force as well.
Personally I am rather nervous about the prospect of Iranian nukes. I live and work in lower Manhattan and would quite possibly die in the "American Hiroshima". There are two aspects to this Iranian threat, and the failure of the Western world to do more than utter bland tsk-tsks. The first is a threat to the moral stability of the Western world. It cannot take, it cannot stand, a repetition of the mass murder conducted by the Nazis, and by their willing collaborators all over Europe, and all those who did not take part but were not terribly disturbed either.
The intended victims remain the same. It is now the Jews, not scattered, but conveniently gathered in one place, the Jews who without any help from any government (not least from the Mandatory authority, Great Britain) managed under the most hellish conditions -- local terror, official hostility, the greatest genocide conducted with industrial methods by the most powerful country in Europe, the post-war cruelties that resulted even in massacres of returning survivors, and in obstacles put in the way attempting to make their way from DP camps to Palestine -- who finally managed to resurrect and reconstruct their ancient commonwealth, would be morally intolerable, and the secret consequences to the mental stability of the West (among the unheralded, secret sources of Europe's mental and moral disarray is surely what happened, what was allowed to happen, to its Jewish population, during World War II, and indeed, during the series of atrocities that the most persecuted tribe in human history was forced to endure for centuries before. There is a second aspect. The threat, which would certainly be carried out, to destroy Israel would be morally intolerable because the thinking world cannot take in, could not survive, another such genocidal act against the same victim, yet again -- in the full light of history.
But there is something else. If Israel were to be destroyed, so too would the Holy Land itself, and of course Jerusalem. Can Christianity be expected to thrive, or even to long survive, if the physical places associated with it are all wiped out, left under a radioactive cloud. It is not essential that every Christian visit the sites where Christianity began. But it is essential that such sites be available, that they exist. What would happen to the world's Christians if that area were to be destroyed? Would they despair? Would some of them succumb to surrendering to Islam, to the most dangerous form of that belief-system -- adult-onset Islam? Would not Muslims themseleves feel, not shame but an enormous sense of triumph -- the Infidel state, the state of the yahud, or despised Jews -- had been eliminated. The Lesser Jihad is over, the Greater Jihad against a demoralized and shaken Western world, can now continue, from strength to strength.
These are two of the reasons why Iran's threat must be stopped, by it was always Iran, and not Iraq, that most worried not only the Israelis, but all those keeping their eyes on the capability, and the stated (and real) intentions of the parties involved. Long before he came to power the Ayatollah Khomeini set out, like Hitler, his world-view. When he came to power, aided by naive Iranian leftists and reformers who could not quite believe that such a primitive could triumph, or that he meant what he said (the Iranian communities in exile are full of such people, anti-Shah reformers, even members of the Tudeh, who learned soon enough what Khomeini, and real Islam put into practice, was all about), he promptly followed the prescriptions that naturally arose from Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira. One of his first acts was to lower the marriageable age of girls to nine -- because of little Aisha. The Islamic Republic of Iran has been the greatest local beneficiary of the fall of Saddam Hussein (the second greatest has been Saudi Arabia). The Americans should stop worrying about "democracy" and think more about weapons -- the weapons that Iran is clearly building, with a little help, of course, from the sinister Pakistani Dr. A. Q. Khan.
Of course Sunnis and Shi'a sometimes collaborate, or trust each other more than they do the outside Infidel. Did not the Sunni A. Q. Khan supply know-how to the Shi'a Islamic Republic, even if Shi'a within Pakistan are routinely attacked by Sunnis? Did not the Sunni and scourge of the Shi'a Saddam Hussein, during the Gulf War, attempt desperately to prevent the destruction of his air force by the Infidel Americans by having those planes flown to Shi'a Iran, even though he was taking a real chance that he would not get them back (and, come to think of it, he didn't).
But there is a real Sunni-Shi'a split, going back to 661 A.D. It has been reinforced, in modern Iraq, by the Sunni domination, and discrimination against, and persecution of, the Shi'a, especially by, but not only by, Saddam Hussein. Al-Zarqawi himself, following the same line as Wahhabis everywhere, regards the Shi'a as Rafidite dogs, as Infidels, and thus his own campaign against the Shi'a is even more violent, and full of atrocities, spurred by anti-Infidel hatred, than is that of the mainline Sunni locals who started simply by wanting to retain power and not to share it, or yield it, to the Shi'a, but whose atavistic hatred of the Shi'a, not merely over power-sharing but over doctrrine, is coming back -- with a vengeance.
The Americans do not have a dog in this fight -- their dog is the fight. They should remove themselves, the better to deal with Iran, which cannot wait, by removing those American forces that are too dangerously close to, and subject to retaliation from, Iran, or Iranian agents, or Shi'a Iraqis who, while they are happy to take billions from the Americans (remember Al-Jaafari in Washington, calling for a new "Marshall Plan" for Iraq, to be called, he said in typically oily fashion, the "Bush Plan"?). It is absurd to keep focusing on, using up one's attention on, Iraq which is essentially a place where the ethnic (Arab/non-Arab Muslim) and sectarian (Sunni/Shi'a) divisions within Islam are most obviously expose and ripe for exploitation -- if only we would stop repeating, and clinging to phrases -- "freedom isn't free," "we will stay the course," "we can't cut and run." If the slogans are replaced by thought, and if at the basis of that thought is an understanding that the tenets of Islam, the attitudes of Islam, Sunni and Shi'a, are the problem, the immutable and irreducible problem, and that wherever and whenever Islam can be divided, demoralized, weakened, that is a good thing for Infidels, and whenever and wherever Islam can be drained of resources, of men,, materiel, money, that is a good thing for Infidels, and if two or more groups of Muslims can use up that men, that materiel, that money, in fighting with each other, that is a good thing for Infidels.
And now, with Iranian threats that are not new, but whose deteremined blood-lust seem, temporarily, to have captured attention, especially in a Western Europe now beginning to see Islam in a more sober and comrehending and therefore horrified light, a suitable response, the only possible response, should be in the planning and, soon enough, be ready to be executed. And this should not be held hostage to the effort in Iraq, which looks more incoherent and self-defeating, and oblivious to both the nature of Islam and the nature of Iraq, with every passing day.

The reason people are talking about Iran like that is because most of the world is sick of Irans crap. Iran may be able to back up some of its bravado, but in the end they will lose any physical conflict hands down. Yes, almost certainly. Islam without Mecca would be a different kettle of fish. Muslims have been told (I think) that Allah won't allow Mecca to be destroyed, and Muslims are much more literal minded, earth-bound, in a way, than Christians.

You're right God did not have anything to do with any of this.
You see, God is NOT a feature of Islam and its ideology of institutionalized murder at all. Al-lah, the Arabian moon-god is an IDOL-- it was invented by man. Perhaps continued worship of this idol led to its becoming a lightning rod that attracted the real anti-God, Satan.
Yes, al-lah IS Satan (al-lah has been proven to have previously been named Sin and Baal...the word 'Beelzebub' is derived from the word 'baal'--Beelzebub as you likely know is a synonym for Satan). It doesn't take a rocket scientist to discern that Satan and NOT God is the heart and soul of Islam.
And this is what humanity is fighting against presently.
Perhaps Islam should be treated as a vast demonic possession, and non-Muslims might try an exorcism a la THE EXORCIST on a commensurate scale...I am absolutely serious. Nothing else on the horizon appears terribly promising.
