Algerian official: deny political asylum to anyone linked to terrorism

Algerian Interior Minister Noureddine Zarhouni called for denying political asylum right to any person linked to terrorist activities...."Combating terrorism dictates on countries of the Mediterranean to cooperate more closely in intercepting the tools of terror, drying up the sources of financing and exchanging logistical support," Zarhouni said.
He called on the countries of the group, which also includes Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Libya, Italy, France, Spain, Malta and Portugal, to deny political asylum to any person proved to be linked to terrorist activity.
