Banned in the U.K.

Rachel Ehrenfeld in FrontPage details how a Saudi billionaire has used English libel laws to try to silence her:

I was prevented from attending a meeting last weekend that I organized in the U.K. on "How to Combat Terror Financing." Had I gone, I would have been in jeopardy due to British libel laws.

I have been sued for libel in London by the Saudi billionaire Sheikh Khalid bin Mahfouz because my book, Funding Evil, documents how his charity, the Muwafaq Foundation, “transferred at least $3 million, on behalf of Khalid bin Mahfouz, to Usama bin Laden, and assisted al Qaeda fighters in Bosnia,” according to testimony of former National Security advisor Richard Clarke. Bin Mahfouz sued in London, because British libel laws guarantee that he could win without challenging the facts.

The British libel laws are so destructive that they affect writers and publications who never set foot in Britain and never published there. They are used effectively by Saudi billionaires who can afford the steep legal fees to silence successfully writers and publishers around the world who attempt to expose how the Saudis have funded and continue to fund the spread of Wahhabism, Islamist radicalism, and indoctrination that leads to global terrorism.

British libel laws are not the only tools that the Islamists use to silence their opponents. They exploit the laws that are designed to ensure freedom to subvert democracies throughout the world. And what they cannot achieve by exploiting the laws, they often achieve through intimidation and invoking political correctness.

Their success is demonstrated by Britain’s submission to Islamic will. These include the Dudley Council’s ban on all representations of pigs - “in the name of tolerance” - and the Tate Gallery’s cancellation of John Latham's “God Is Great," portraying Christian, Muslim, and Jewish holy-books, “because it could upset Muslims.” This submission is surprising in a people who stood up to the Nazis and did not bend under the Blitz. But now, the Queen knights a Muslim "community leader," Iqbal Sacranie, after he praises former Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin at his memorial service. In fact, Sacraine has also stated publicly, that "death is perhaps too easy" for Salman Rushdie.

This British submission did not help stop the July 7 bombings or the later bombing attempts. But even after the attacks, the Prime Minister appointed to the new anti–terror task force, which they call “the working group on tackling extremism,” Muslim advisers who are known to support Radical Islam, including Tariq Ramadan. Ramadan's U.S. visa was revoked last year, and he is believed to have connections to al Qaeda. Furthermore, last August, to enable Ramadan to speak at a gathering of Muslim youth in London, Scotland Yard contributed $15,000 of taxpayers money. Ramadan, who is also believed to have organized a meeting between Ayman al Zawahiri and Sheik Abdel Rahman currently teaches at St. Antony College, in Oxford. Another advisor to the Prime Minister’s task force, Inayat Bunglawala, was appointed despite his public praise of bin Laden as a “freedom fighter.”

This submissive attitude also leads the British to turn a blind eye to the sale of books like Mein Kampf and The Protocol of The Elders of Zion, which are printed in Egypt and Lebanon in Arabic and distributed in and from London to the rest of Europe. Clearly, the British legal system that banned my book seems to see nothing wrong with this anti-Semitic propaganda, even though this propaganda helps to create the climate that encourages Jihadist recruits from all over Europe to come to Britain to join the international brigade of Jihadis. From Britain, the Jihadis go on to fight British and American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Statements, new laws and banning terrorist organizations are important, but they are useless as long as Islamo-Fascism is allowed to flourish. As President Bush emphasized earlier this month, Islamo-Fascism cannot be eliminated by appeasement, or by dialogue, or negotiated solutions, as many falsely believe, especially in Europe. Indeed, without the political will to stop the direct and indirect financing of terrorism, no law or convention will stop it.

We should have tried to stop the spread of Wahhabism and Islamo–Fascism two decades ago. Our inaction, as much as their efforts, facilitated the funding of terrorism that has killed and maimed many thousands. In addition, Islamo-Facism has already infected tens of millions around the world with a hatred of democracy and freedom.

Although prevented from doing my job in the U.K., I’m challenging the funders of terrorism in the U.S. so as to defend my First Amendment rights. I have sued Khalid bin Mahfouz in the Southern District of New York.

New Labour government is responsible for the banning of a great many traditions that we have held as sacrosanct.

Labour has left a scar on the soul of Britain

I wonder if Rachel Ehrenfeld can appeal to the European court.

British libel laws guarantee that he could win without challenging the facts.

Not quite. The law is 'plaintiff friendly', in that the burden of proof is on the defendant to show that what he says is the truth. But look what happened to David Irving.

However, our libel laws leave a lot to be desired, and there are Arabs with money, time, and an infinite will to censor.

Free speech is still with us for now, since the ludicrous Religious Hatred legislation got knocked back by the House of Lords. Bless 'em.

If these are the effects of this British libel law, then I couldnt imagine something so destuctive to the freedom of expression let alone any factual evidence that could possibly come forward. The Uk has some of the most outragous rags that would put weeklys like the inquirer to shame when it comes to false stories as well as made up ones. Suppression of this kind can really act as a deterent to the truth of what is going on there.

What would be next, if there is some favored libel ruling suit brought by one of these Waahabist Saudi Scheiks in the UK; will we see book burning as in Nazi,Germany? Could a wealthy Sheik cause the suppression of evidence against him under some form of libel law that is gathered by Scotland Yard, or MI-16?

Imagine libel lawsuits filed in America and the person filing the lawsuit is not required to give any factual challengas to why the suit was filed in the first place. Editorial writers, book authors and reporters would be stopped in their tracks from exercising their First Amendment right.

Don't look now folks, but these bastards have initiated a multi pronged attack which has us on the verge of being surrounded. Those on guard are asleep at their posts or else handing out charts of the paths through the minefields and manuals detailing our order of battle. We're letting spies sit in on our strategy sessions while serving them tea, and wrapping the maps of our defenses in the keys to our codes.

Jonathan Last's article in the Daily Standard, "Rule America" was one of the most chilling things I've read in a while.

I for one am going to find a nice dry place for my powder. That sound you hear is the juggernaut inexorably advancing like a glacier of hate. Ever seen a glacier up close? Not really a scale of size a human can appreciate or comprehend.

Screw arab oil. I don't give a rats @ss about how wind turbines affect the scenery. As a matter of fact, I think a wind farm has a certain elegence to it. Dam the streams and rivers, small output turbines servicing 2 to a dozen families exist now, not to mention large economy-of-scale versions. If you insist on oil, drill in ANWAR, besides, caribou is delicious. Build nuclear powerplants using modern developments, top them with patriot missles if it'll make you feel better. If the inhabitants of Gaza insist on being breastfed from cradle to the grave because they are so adamantly disfunctional, let it be a Saudi nipple. Pakistan doesn't think it's getting proper attention from the world for the earthquake? Don't bitch in English, French, German, or Spanish, bitch in Arabic.Parasites are outraged by the insensitivity of their numerous hosts? Go the f*ck home toyour sh!thole of choice. You state that muslims are superior to us infidels while you fall all over yourselves in your haste to come crawling into our decent and productive countries to degrade and denigrate that which gives you your undeserved sustenance? Return to you festering cesspool of an islamic paradise and show us. SHOW US!

Sorry folks, must have skipped my meds today.

The standard, carved in stone answer to EVERY muslim complaint should be "Too Damn Bad".
Civilizational and/or societal coexistence only works when all parties come to the table in good faith. I could stuff a gutted pig with all the instances where the infidel world has been screwed by muslims who took Western decency as a sign of weakness or stupidity and stabbed us in the back. Western culture teaches us to be ashamed or feel guilty if we lie, cheat, steal, betray, go back on our word, or abandon a friend. The muslim world teaches that these are a "man"s highest aspirations. They disgust me and I am too-friggin-through with them all.
That's right, ALL. Moderates my aching ass. At least the killers are straight up front about who they are and what they want to do.

Bring the Christians and Jews out of pisslamic countries and give them a home where they don't have to pray with one eye open. Let the others rot away in their decaying, stench-filled islamic paradise. Next natural disaster, let their ummah show them some islamic charity, I'm sure it's superior to our filthy infidel assistance.

The writing is on the wall, we're starting a war that's going to make the Cold War look like a Sunday afternoon in the park. The stupid liberals bleat about how it's been four years since 9/11. This sucker is going to take decades. I can imagine children sitting around some old guy in a rockingchair asking, "Grandpa, tell us what is was like back then, back before the fighting. Is it true that there was a time when there were places where there wasn't any fighting?" This war might have started on an international level, but before it's over it's going to be down to streets and houses. WW2 had two major theaters, this one will have either just one, everywhere, or dozens, depending on how you look at it.

Well, I'm pretty sure I've used up my rant rations for at least a week. Sadly, I don't feel any better.

..what t-ham said..

Please, Winnie, please, come back
and help your country, let your shade
roam the hills and dales, by the sea,
let your spirit fill the hollow men,
don't hold a grudge.

The standard, carved in stone answer to EVERY muslim complaint should be "Too Damn Bad".

GOD BLESS THE USA AND HER FIGHTING FORCES AND ALL WHO FIGHT WITH HER GIVE THEM WISDOM, SIGHT, STRENGTH, AND COURAGE TO STAND UP AND DESTROY ALL ISLAMIC TERRORIST AND ALL WHO SUPPORT THEM LET NOT THE WORLD BE DECEIVED BY THEM AMEN

PS
Head of HS says you as a citizan have a responablity to be Prepared and not be Victims this is your Duty as an American!!!

So if you didn't get your food and water you were told to stop complaining!!!

I SAY GOOD ON HIM!!

t-ham, Roger that.

But when you say, ". . . we're starting a war" it should really be "we're fighting a war" because it has been going on for a long time.

I checked into JW/DW earlier this evening, caught a little Fox News, went to the school for a meeting, and took the 14-yr-old to the sporting goods store for some kind of football something-or-other. I went upstairs to look at footlockers to stash survival supplies in.

When the spaghetti hits the fan, you can bet your @ss that the authorities are going to plug up your munitions pipeline. The only people that will be able to get weapons will be the muslims. How??

Easy. And I'm not talking about the little stuff, the rifles and pistols and shotguns which are really no problem. At least 5,000 weapons were looted from stores in New Orleans alone, for example. No, the real problem is the diplomatic pouch.

The diplomatic pouch is not subject to search by international practice and custom. It is considered sovereign territory. The pouch used to be just that, a pouch. Leather. Silk. Maybe some gold and silver trim. Not any more.

The modern diplomatic pouch is a forty-foot steel container. And usually more than one. These things come and go to the embassy (and probably the consulate) of your friendly muslim country all the time. They carry correspondence, code books, files and dossiers, furniture, safes, rugs, favorite canned and preserved foods, computer hardware, books, clothing, personal effects, gifts for politicians and businessmen, maybe even liquor.

They also carry Semtex, rocket-propelled grenades, detonators, untraceable stateless weapons, and other "sensitive" equipment.

You can bet that some of these items have been moved and buried in waterproof rubberized containers near beaches, hiking trails, highway rest stops, and woods, ready for the time to divulge their locations to the agents in place.

When that time comes, my friend, you and I will be out-gunned. But what's a fella to do?

I can't help it. I peel off a couple of twenties, and buy a little more ammunition. The Russian surplus AK-47 rounds (7.62mm X 39mm) are only $14.95 per 100. The cartridges are steel with a lacquer finish, not brass. Can't be reloaded. Basic Soviet junk, but they function fine for the purpose, and the primers are non-corrosive (very important to find out when buying cheap surplus military ammo).

Winchester 5.56 mm (.223 calibre) is first rate stuff. $19.95 per 100. Cheaper that the Remington, and just about as good.

I come home with the sack and the kid. Wife says, "What's in the bag, Honey?" I tell her. She does not yet understand the metric measurements, so I give her the metric sizes just for fun. She's on board with everything. A sticker on the back of her car says "Defeat Jihad" and she means it. She wants to go to the pistol range.

The 14-year-old is absorbing some things. He wants a T-shirt with a picture of a pig on it. I really don't know where he picked this up. I swear. But, you know, dammit he's gonna get one. He was only 10 years old when the World Trade Center was destroyed. He's now fighting in this war, too.

Catherine;

well thank you, I can't tell where you live from your posts but if it's in NY I got your back when it hits the fan. That goes for all the jw/dw gang. I'd like to know if I have any neighbors, might come in real handy one day.

otterfisher; that makes 2

texan; It amazes me when I see people in florida lining up at Home Depot for plywood 6 hours before a hurricane hits. I can't believe people dont KEEP labeled, precut window protection in their garage, shed, whatever, from year to year, if they live in hurricane prone areas. Along the same lines, where in the hell do people think they're going to find hardware when it's too late to start looking? I'll be verifying inventory, (checking it twice, gonna find out who gets "naughty" and who gets "nice") while people are going to be franticly offering everything from probably worthless paper money to their firstborn child for a little insurance, although gold is always welcome. Well. at least it gets them a "hear me out". Being a bowhunter doesn't hurt either, especially if you make your own equipment, no fear of running out of persuasive ability. Plus the quietness factor can be a good psychological weapon.

Just like a savings account, you have to put a little bit away every payday, and you can't make excuses, you have to do it now.

Well, 1AM here in New Yawk, time to do a crash and burn, finishing a kitchen tomorrow, cash job, so I guess I'll be going shopping later.

'Night All

t-ham

Bang on.

In a few years time, do you think that America will allow my family & I to claim asylum when the EU becomes EUrabia?

I am an English Democrat (by that I mean I believe in Democracy, not a political affiliation), with no criminal record
& I have always been in professional employment & paid my own way.

I am sure there are many, many others here that are looking to the bleak near future & planning to get to a safe harbour.

In the UK, we have some cases of bird flu.

We cannot close our borders because it is against EU Law. We need to beg their permission to do so.

If we cannot stop live bird imports because of EUrabian Law, what chance have we of stopping the Islamic tide that washes through our porous borders everyday, legally & otherwise?

The British Government cannot tell us how many illegal immigrants we have.

As I state to my MP at every opportunity, if we do not know how many illegals we have allowed in, then it stands to reason that we do not know how many terrorist cells we have allowed in.

This is logical to me, yet is scorned by the political elite.

Maybe someone here can point out the errors in my logic?

Best regards
Albion

albion,

I can only agree with you, I am making sure that my kids see moving to the USA as a smart move.

texan:

The .454 Casull is good, if you can handle it. 300 grain buffalo bullet. From Freedom Arms.

t-ham, I hear the sound of your Churchill words...and prostrate myself in mock-Islamic carpet-jockey fashion.

texan, can you send a pouch to Aussie? John Winston Howard took our guns after Port Arthur.

"...we will fight them on the beaches..."

I am not sure what point Interested was trying to make. Don't forget that David Irving sued Deborah Lipstadt in order to shut her up. That is, to stop her from criticizing him. She was the defendant in a libel suit brought by David Irving.
