Book by Robert Spencer on New York Times Bestseller List for 9th week

Despite the fact that the extensive talk radio coverage it was getting has largely dried up, and the mainstream media for the most part continues to ignore it, my book The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) is once again on the New York Times Bestseller List (paperback nonfiction) at number 16 for the week of October 23. This is its ninth week on the list.

The buyers of this book, I suspect, know they are being lied to by the mainstream media and officialdom, and they are tired of it.

Just purchased it through Amazon along with Bostom's book. I look forward to reading it. If I'd been thinking when I ordered I would have bought a few more as Christmas presents. Luckily I still have time.

Great book, fine research, but that cover could use a bit more zing. I was thinking a nice glossy frontal of Zarqawi holding up one of the heads (identity blocked) he so zealously saws off to promote the religion of peace.

Dear Robert:

You'd be surprised how many *highly educated* people are totally clueless that the crusades were defensive wars, how many with 'Dr."-titles know nothing about 'Dhimmitude' and are still chewing the cud about how "tolerant" it all was under Islamic rule, in 'Al Andaluz' for example, and how the sciences and the arts flourished, etc.etc.

Just this morning a Jewish Dr.-friend of mine tried to tell me that Islam is in fact a religion much like Judaism, that they have sooo much in common...

I was flabbergasted! He swallowed the line of the "3 great Abrahamic faiths" hook, line and sinker! I kept on hammering him about Islam being a violent, totalitarian ideology in the guise of religion, but in spite of the evidence he remained unconvinced.

"Abrahamic faith": This might be something you or Hugh might want to comment about:

I do not grant Mohammed the Abrahamic connection as he was a mere Bedhuin, not a Jew and not related. The claim is spurious, is it not? It is Mohammeds claim, but where is the evidence?

This is something you might want to elaborate about. I'd be very interested to hear your views on that!

Very good.

I'm gonna stop by Barnes & Noble tomorrow and see what's up. I know a few people who need this book for a Christmas gift. Not a Ramahanaqwanzamas gift, but a good old fashioned, back to earth Christmas gift.

This has to be the foundation of the War on Terror.
The other Abrahamic faiths have to reject the notion of `people of the book`. The churches must lead. It is the acceptance of that clownish nonsense that has resulted in the status quo.

The mohammedans stole Jehova
and demoted Jesus Christ.

If Jews honor the Torah and hold to their covenant with G-d, then Islam is a false religion.

If a Christian is to believe in the divinity of Jesus as the son of God, then islam is a false religion.

Actually islam is not a religion at all but a sacralized political ideology with an arabian
cultural overlay.

Excellent site, Mr. Spencer. I've been an avid reader here for some time, but this is my first post. The concurrent horror of the murders of both Arabs and Jews in Israel presents my platform that Israel Politics are being formulated by Arab Politics. Since the day to day bloodshed is the forensic proof of cause and effect, your site and the mountain of data contained here helps explain the causes. Thank you very much for your hard work.

Hi Robert,

The biggest problem is that most people, especially with families, simply don't have the time to find out the truth about Islam. Hence your book fills an important need – but people still need to hear about the book! Nevertheless, I'm optimistic that the word is slowly diffusing through the internet. People do love surfing the net, and those beheadings did not go unnoticed. I have a liberal friend who now has no problem with the word 'Islamofascism', even though he's deeply worried that with Abu Ghraib and all, we may be on the same course!

Most nice people will judge Islam according to the few nice Muslims they may know. This makes a powerful impression. It must be counterbalanced by knowledge of history and foreign cultures, which requires taking the time to read and knowing what to read.

A great book Robert, purchased it as soon as it was avalible. I think the title is a key in it's purchase power, and the book truly delivers.

I don't think it is lying from the press, as much as it just is not being covered. Your book is a direct focus on the events of today, along with much history of Islam.

Glad for you in the success of this work, and hope it has many more weeks ...

I am amazed at how many very educated people I meet confess to know essentially nothing about Islam: even college professors of Morals/ethics, Religion and “Gender Studies”. I always recommend this well written book – the best for the general reader (and hope I don’t get in trouble on campus). The book is even hard to put down.
