Hillary and I speak in Los Angeles

Sparing no expense, I have just rushed back on the last steamboat to Secure Undisclosed Locationville after spending the week in Los Angeles. There I gave four talks and had the privilege of spending some time with a great many courageous people, including Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs and Tashbih Sayyed of Pakistan Today (Tashbih and I gave two talks as part of a panel.)

Yesterday I had the honor to speak during Yom Kippur services at Temple of the Arts in Los Angeles, where one of the other featured speakers was Senator Hillary Clinton. I have long maintained that the struggle against jihad is not a liberal or conservative issue, but a human rights issue, but I have generally been pigeonholed, as have many others with a similar perspective (no matter how preposterous some of these classifications have been), as being of the Right. Thus it was gratifying to speak at a place that could have both me and Hillary speaking.

Even more encouraging was the fact that two people in the crowd, which was full of Hollywood glitterati, prefaced questions to me by saying that they were already familiar with the points I was making about Islam and jihad. I have been traveling all over the country this year, speaking at synagogues, churches, civic clubs, bookstores, political meetings, and other settings, and usually the entire audience is flabbergasted. But I think word is getting out.

Here is part of the New York Post's story: "Hill Observes High Hollywood Days":

October 14, 2005 -- WASHINGTON - Before ramping up for Tinseltown fund-raisers this weekend, Sen. Hillary Clinton stuck to the serious yesterday by delivering a solemn Yom Kippur "living sermon" to a crowded Beverly Hills synagogue.

Clinton dedicated a memorial candle to the victims of Hurricane Katrina after addressing the congregation at the Temple of the Arts in Beverly Hills.

"A living sermon means instead of quoting them or their books, I can present them in person," Rabbi David Baron, who invited Clinton after being touched by her 2003 memoir "Living History," told the Jewish Journal.

I was part of Rabbi Baron's Living Sermon as well, and I thank him for that. (Oh, and don't ask what Hillary thought of my talk; she left before I spoke.)

God Bless you Mr. Spencer for your undying dedication to save humanity from a terror that demands the annihilation of civilisation as we know it.

"...I have long maintained that the struggle against jihad is not a liberal or conservative issue, but a human rights issue,..."

Precisely!

How many are getting the message, though? And Hilary left before you had a chance to speak... No questionmark there.

But congratulations, either way! You are reaching people, the message is seeping through and I hope the funding will increase to put it all on track. When it comes to funding, we are hopelessly outgunned. Its high time the Hollywood glitteraty start putting some 'bread in your jar...!

Years of dedication on this site are bearing fruit. The sales of your lasr book are testament to that.
" I have long maintained that the struggle against jihad is not a liberal or conservative issue, but a human rights issue"
Undeniably true.
This is the argument that will ultimately unite the left and right against jihad.

Did The carpetbagger leave so as not to be linked to one so "rightwing" and "alarmist" by sharing a Living Sermon?

No matter, far more benefit was accrued by speaking to the attendees, 2 of whom have apparently already read some RS. After all, Hillary serves at the voters "pleasure". Educate enough voters and then if she still doesn't get it we can dismiss her. I'm sure it's much easier to educate the common man than a .... well, you get the idea.

Came across a Russian site “Orthodox Russia”
An open letter, signed by 15,000 people shows that there is a limit to a human intelligence but stupidity is unlimited.
In view that jihad is very active in Russia and remembering horrors of Bezlan, one quotation is especially surprising:
“ Jewish organizations should stop lobbying Russia to support Israel… Such lobbying is particularly dangerous as it is trying to redirect Russian foreign policy to support US and Israel in their aggression against some Islamic countries. Putting Russia against the world of Islam will result in a weaker positions of Russia and the Muslim world to the advantage of US-Israeli interests”
The letter is lengthy and virulently anti-semitic. It is signed among others by the orthodox priests, who obviously do not find it contradictory to the Christian doctrine.
The site is blessed by Ioan - Mitropolit of St. Petersbourg.

Nariz,
Both sides rant against the other and have been doing it for a long time. Yours is an example.

I was raised by grandparents and great-grandparents, people born before WWI and the 20th Century, respectively, and my views have been shaped accordingly. My grandfather was Republican, as was his father. My grandfather was first-generation Italian-American, and his father took his family from the East coast to the West to get away from what they called "those bigoted, anti-Italian Democrats", so you see it cuts both ways. Times and parties change.

You must remember that the Democratic Party was the party of slavery and Jim Crow for a good part of its history and that the Republican Party rose from the embers of the Whigs in about 1854 and was an abolitionist party.

Currently, on most liberal and leftist Blogs, all conservatives and Republicans are portrayed as evil, uneducated, ignorant half-wits. Besides the myopic arrogance, such a view is incredibly ignorant, but most on those sites can't see the irony. The left was never free from bigotry or stupidity either. "Limousine liberal" is a term from the 1960's. To dig back farther, the left and far-left in this country stopped agitating against Hitler after the 1939 Non-Aggression Pact, and attacked FDR for Lend-Lease, until Hitler's Operation Barbarossa in June 1941. Then they flopped back. More recently, the '80s, Susan Sonntag, may she rest in peace, was booed at a leftist Writers Guild meeting when she said there was more truth in Readers Digest than all leftist magazines combined regarding Communism. “Fascism with a human face” was the phrase she used for Communism. How could they boo the obvious?

I do hope that our own internal culture war will sort itself out, but it won't when epithets of abuse such as racist, homophobe, etc. are used to silence reasoned arguments against this country taking its current path, a path started by the most selfish, arrogant, narcissistic, self-inflated generation this country has seen, mine.

Remember, "don't trust anyone over thirty". I guess both of us can’t be trusted.

I'm glad you had a fruitful trip and returned home safely.

The realisation that American power could and should be used for the defense of pluralism and as a punishment for fascism came to me in Sarajevo a year or two later. Here, the coalition of forces that eventually saved former Yugoslavia from aggression and ethnocide was made up of some leftists, many Jews and Muslims in America and Europe, many if not most of the neo-conservatives, and Tony Blair’s Labour Government. The mass of mainstream conservatives in America and Britain were indifferent if not openly hostile, and of course many peaceniks kept to their usual line that intervention only leads to quagmires. That was an early quarrel between me and many of my Nation colleagues, and it was also the first time I found myself in the same trench as people like Paul Wolfowitz and Jeanne Kirkpatrick: a shock I had to learn to get over.

On 11 September I was actually in Whitman College, in Washington State, giving the “Scoop” Jackson memorial lecture at his alma mater. Slightly to my surprise, the college and the Jackson family had invited me to speak about my indictment of Henry Kissinger. But on reflection I understood that I needn’t have been so startled: Henry Jackson had always disliked Kissinger for his willingness to sell out the Soviet Jews to Brezhnev, for example, and I point out in my book that it was Kissinger who told Gerald Ford to refuse Solzhenitsyn an invitation to the White House, and who later groveled to the Chinese Stalinists right after Tiananmen Square. He was soft on Communism, as well as on fascism and military dictatorship. (He also opposed any move to stop, let alone to depose, Slobodan Milosevic.)

He explains that he believes the moment the left's bankruptcy became clear was on 9/11. "The United States was attacked by theocratic fascists who represents all the most reactionary elements on earth. They stand for liquidating everything the left has fought for: women's rights, democracy? And how did much of the left respond? By affecting a kind of neutrality between America and the theocratic fascists." He cites the cover of one of Tariq Ali's books as the perfect example. It shows Bush and Bin Laden morphed into one on its cover. "It's explicitly saying they are equally bad. However bad the American Empire has been, it is not as bad as this. It is not the Taliban, and anybody - any movement - that cannot see the difference has lost all moral bearings."

Hitchens - who has just returned from Afghanistan - says, "The world these [al-Quadea and Taliban] fascists want to create is one of constant submission and servility. The individual only has value to them if they enter into a life of constant reaffirmation and prayer. It is pure totalitarianism, and one of the ugliest totalitarianisms we've seen. It's the irrational combined with the idea of a completely closed society. To stand equidistant between that and a war to remove it is?" He shakes his head. I have never seen Hitch grasping for words before.

He is appalled that some people on the left are prepared to do almost nothing to defeat Islamofascism. "When I see some people who claim to be on the left abusing that tradition, making excuses for the most reactionary force in the world, I do feel pain that a great tradition is being defamed. So in that sense I still consider myself to be on the left." A few months ago, when Bush went to Ireland for the G8 meeting, Hitchens was on a TV debate with the leader of a small socialist party in the Irish dail. "He said these Islamic fascists are doing this because they have deep-seated grievances. And I said, 'Ah yes, they
have many grievances. They are aggrieved when they see unveiled woman. And they are aggrieved that we tolerate homosexuals and Jews and free speech and the reading of literature.'"

"And this man - who had presumably never met a jihadist in his life - said, ?No, it's about their economic grievances.' Well, of course, because the Taliban provided great healthcare and redistribution of wealth, didn't they? After the debate was over, I said, ?If James Connolly [the Irish socialist leader of the Easter Risings] could hear you defending these theocratic fascist barbarians, you would know you had been in a fight. Do you know what you are saying? Do you know who you are pissing on?"

Nariz,
Visit Democratic Underground and Kos and see how the "Left" feels about conservatives and the islamic threat. Talk to them...if you dare.

God bless you, Robert. It is quite heartening to see that your message is slowly gaining wider audience. Your work is far too important to be simply pigeon-holed into being either a liberal or conservative cause. Having said that, I do have to agree with Leavingtheleft and Carolyn that most of the liberals just don't get it! I am constantly amazed at their vituperativeness of liberals against their own country, America. The liberals, for some weird reason, are more worried about the 'evils' of conservatism than about the threat from Islam. Go figure that!

This is to further reinforce the need to spread the word in any way we can. The public is misinformed about Islam and I just can't figure out the adm's policy. Americans must understand that the border issue is not only a question of economic burden and dilution of our successful culture. It is also about national security! There are a few in the gov who recognize this, and they are lone wolves who are fighting for attention. Let's give them some and let's spread their word along with Robert's. Visit the website of Rep. John Culberson (TX-R) at culbertson.house.gov and click on the link to the Del Rio News Herald (Del Rio sits on the TX-Mex border) at delrionewsherald.com. Then, another must read is an article in the San Antonio newspaper which Culberson refers to in his newsletter: mysanantonio.com/news/metro/stores. Look for the story titled "Immigration busts soar in Texas". This article will make your hair stand on end. Also, I just returned from a week in Nantucket up in the Kingdom of Kennedy and Kerry. That liberal little island is being innundated by all sorts of illegals: Brazilians, Jamaicans, Hispanics, and even a smattering of Russians, and the residents I talked to seem dumbfounded at what's happening and aren't too happy. I took every opportunity I could to flash Onward Muslim Soldiers.

Why are people responding to "Nariz" when there is no post written by a "Nariz"?

Very encouraging, indeed. Hollywood types who are permitting themselves some modicum of exposure to the truth about islam....maybe even one or two who may dare to dig deeper. I look forward to a day when it is no longer fashionable in Hollywood to run around loudly displaying one's ignorance and stupidity about this menace to their own, and everyone else's, freedom. And if there is one thing that the Streisands and Sarandans fear above all else, it's being unfashionable.

Dr. Pepper~ Nariz was posted here. He must have used vanishing pixels.

I would have been curious to hear what Hillary would have said, if Mr. Spencer had spoken first. Mr. Spencer, if I may... have there been other speaking occasions when you have been forced to miss out on the response of a, shall we say, fence-sitting speaker?

Just do some surfing about Hillary Clinton, her voting record on Numbersusa.com, her anti war stance, etc. She now is trying to have a center looking agenda , but I feel she will have a strong, anti-war stance if put in the White House.

The democrats of today have more of a socialist look then ever before. And she would be a perfect choice to further this cause, just do a honest search to find this out.

Her leaving before Robert spoke is little supprise..

Did The carpetbagger leave so as not to be linked to one so "rightwing" and "alarmist" by sharing a Living Sermon?

I didn't know that Alan Keyes was in attendance... oh wait, I get it now. A "carpetbagger" is only a "carpetbagger" when it's a LIBERAL carpetbagger.

So when Alan Keyes (R-Lesbo Kid) "ran for US Senate" in Illinois last year, the fact that he was a resident of Maryland was of no importance. After all, he's a conservative, and rules are for lesser people, right, kiddo?

Well, they probably could use the money. I bet a it's easier for the Saudis to buy support from the "christians" of Russia than it is for them to buy support from the "christians" of Africa. This while Arabs slaughter Africans with gay abandon. Shit, man... they bought the freakin' Pope. The POPE. He's got more dough than Pillsbury, and the Saudis bought him. That's why he doesn't criticize the precious "palestinians" when they murder Israeli women and children....and I wonder how much the paid Mel Gibson to film his fairy tale of evil Jews.

You must remember that the Democratic Party was the party of slavery and Jim Crow for a good part of its history and that the Republican Party rose from the embers of the Whigs in about 1854 and was an abolitionist party.

So what happened? YOU must remember this, I guess, to sooth your conscience. Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, Ronald Reagan, Trent Lott... lots of Republicans WERE Democrats, until the 60s. Or more specifically, until the Civil Rights era. Ha! Even David Duke was a Democrat, until "his party left him."

You know, you would have some credibility if only your party would actually elect a black person. I know, I know... you can appoint them. You can hire them to spread your messages. But when are you going to start electing them? Condi "might" run for president? Let's see her go back to Allah-bama and run for Senate.

There used to be a "Black Republican Caucus" .... but he retired. They passed him over when they were looking to replace Newt's replacement, Livingston... why was JC Watts passed over? Watts said his own Uncle told him, "A black man voting Republican is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders."

If the GOPers are the party that supports black people, then why do they vote Democrat 95% of the time? You probably won't say, but the answer lies at www.cofcc.org.

It may help to recall that it wasn't that long ago that David Duke ran for governor of Louisiana... he ran as a republican. He got 43% of the vote. 43 PERCENT. And that was with Bush Sr. and every other republican luminary BEGGING the GOPers of Lousiana not to vote for him. They were begging the GOPers of Louisiana to vote for Edwards, the Democrat!

Duke would have won if ONLY 3.6 percent had switched votes! People, THAT MEANS SOMETHING. But hey, Byrd was in the KKK... fifty years ago. So let's talk about that.

Currently, on most liberal and leftist Blogs, all conservatives and Republicans are portrayed as evil, uneducated, ignorant half-wits.

WOW... I'm sooo glad that conservative blogs don't treat liberals bad! Like www.cofcc.org, www.davidduke.com, www.liberalsscum.com, www.freerepublic.com. No siree, no liberal bashing there!

************************************************

And if there is one thing that the Streisands and Sarandans fear above all else, it's being unfashionable.

...and what excuse to you have to offer up for the Bushes and the Rices? Love of Saudi money? Well, maybe in Bizarro GOPermonkey world, Susan Sarandon and Barbara Streisand actually have more influnce on geopolitical issues. Must be nice living in a fantasy land.

The democrats of today have more of a socialist look then ever before. And she would be a perfect choice to further this cause, just do a honest search to find this out.

Perfect claptrap right out of the Limbaugh playbook. Call us what you want, Junior. YOUR party is the one that's murdered 2000 Marines and Soldiers... for nothing. YOUR party is the one that's invented a new Sharia theocratic hellhole in the Middle East. YOUR party was the one on watch when the Islamocrazies attacked us, and your monkey was at his ranch all of August 2001 ignoring warnings about Bin Laden. But don't worry. Abortion will be illegal soon, and that makes it all worth it. I feel safer already.

BTW way, who are you going to run in 08? Condi? Frist? Jeb? Arnold? Rudy? McCain? None of them can beat Hillary.

Texas Lady:
Thanks for the great info! I have the same stomping grounds that Rep Culberson had growing up, I am proud of his stance on the illegal issue. Just in the Rio Grande Sector of the Border Patrol here in Texas, they apprehended over 300,000 illegals last year, of which almost 80,000 were "other than Mexicans...." and that is the ones that were APREHENDED....

Robert and Hillary.

Talking in the "Temple of the Arts".

From the podium.

On Yom Kippur.

So............

How was the Kiddish?

BTW way, who are you going to run in 08? Condi? Frist? Jeb? Arnold? Rudy? McCain? None of them can beat Hillary.

Actually any of them could beat Hillary. I also don't think you should count on Hillary winning in 08 since Americans no longer elect Senators to the Presidency. That's the reason McCain won't be elected and why Kerry lost.Americans elect Govenors with executive experience as President or former Vice Presidents who served in the executive branch. If Jeb doesn't run the next President of the United States will be a dark horse Republican Govenor.

Ha! Arnold would terminate them all! If he could. I don't think the final word on hillary is out. I heard she won't commit to run unless her advisors tell her she's almost a 100% shoe-in.
