Informant: N.Y. Subway Plotter Is in U.S.

"You f—-ing can't stop us now; it's too late." From ABC, :

Oct. 7, 2005 — A source for information that has led to the terrorism scare on New York City's subways has identified at least one of the attackers by name and claims that the man already is in the United States, ABC News has learned.

The New York Police Department and the FBI have no proof that the person named actually is in the country, or that the person named actually exists. In addition, the Department of Homeland Security emphasized that there is no indication that the person is in the United States.

Still, the NYPD and FBI are investigating allegations that 19 operatives have been deployed to the city to place bombs in the subway, perhaps in briefcases or baby strollers....

In addition, ABC News has learned, one of two Iraqi insurgents who were sources for the threat information said when arrested, reportedly in perfect English: "You f—-ing can't stop us now; it's too late."

It really isn't important if this is a genuine threat, we should be on alert all the time because it truly is just a matter of time before they succeed with their terror. They have stated their intentions over and over.

Well it's for certain the US won't be able stop Islam's butchers with its lame practice of searching EVERYBODY (including grannies!) at all public places and events. The craftier individuals and groups usually manage to evade the searchers time after time regardless of the efforts expended to thwart them. So much time is wasted by searching the obviously unthreatening ones (which is ALMOST everyone) that the ingeniously sneaky and dangerous often slip through barely noticed...

However, our best hope of defeating the Islamic butchers lies in Americans' being on the lookout at ALL TIMES in public and notifying the nearest authorities when something looks amiss or suspicious.

As long as Americans remain consistently vigilant, Islamic butchers will PROBABLY fail. Thank Yahweh (and NOT al-lah).

...identified at least one of the attackers by name...

...The source of the threat information, arrested in Iraq...

...one of two Iraqi insurgents...

...the members of the attack team are made up of five nationalities — including Afghans, Syrians and Iraqis...

But no mention of religious affiliation.

I'm sure the reporters would have mentioned it if they thought it had anything to do with the story.

I think I'll send them an email and see if they know.

I think our focus should be moved from protecting ourselves to acting pro-actively against the terrorists. We are just building a 21st century Maginot Line, and we know how well that worked for the French.

We (the entire non-Islamic world, not just the US, UK, and Australia) should be hitting them very hard, day after day after day, wherever in the world they are training or studying or hiding. Let them look over their shoulders. The best defense is a ..., well you know.

Oops, I forgot that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are our allies, and that we can't upset the flow of oil out of the ME or the progress in the Arab-Israeli Road to Peace, and anyways it's just a few extremists that have no connection to Islam.

If they catch one, unless he is offed, all of them are caught.

Keep your powder dry.

Well, well. I guess the old "we are fighting them in Iraq so we don't have to fight them here" myth is starting to become passe, eh? Oh wait, that was last year's excuse.. now we are working on "Staying to die to honor the guys that have already been killed" or some such.

Maybe Cornelius, Gary, Carolyn, or one of the other Bush sycophants can find a way to explain that this too is the fault of Clinton, Cindy Sheehan, or the ACLU. Or maybe it's the fault of all those liberals that won't fund tougher border security.

But really, who cares about securing the United States? The quarter-TRILLION of your taxpayer dollars in Iraq is reeeeeally helping.

While here at home (and Cornelius, you forgot to account for this in your rebuttals at the "Culture War By Proxy" comments page)

BUSH IS HANDING OUR TAX DOLLARS TO ISLAM FOR DAWA AND JIHAD.

What a brilliant strategy: take tax money from Americans and invade Iraq. Give tax money to "faith-based" Muslims. Muslims fund jihad in Iraq. Jihadis blow up bridges and kill GIs in Iraq. Bush hands money to Halliburton to rebuild bridges in Iraq. Halliburton funds GOPers. "Faith-based" schools and social services fund GOPers. Bush gets more power to send more tax money to Iraq.

Meanwhile, here at home we "can't afford" to protect our borders. Hurricane hits sinks New Orleans because we "couldn't afford" to strengthen levees. FEMA takes three days to repsond because Bush crony was out of his depth. Bush's poll numbers sink, but Bush writes a check for 250 Billion dollars... then a "security threat" comes to light, and Bush's poll numbers go up.

IT'S PERFECT!!! Soon Iraq will be under the control of Iran, and abortion will be illegal in America.

Now if we could just do something about all those dead Soldiers and Marines...

kj:

New Orleans "sank" because most of it is below sea level and the levees were shortchanged because of local corruption. We also now know that Katrina was only Cat 1 when hit the city. The Federal response was hardly slow, in fact is was faster then it was in previous storms and actually began before the storm hit.

And one more thing, abortion was neither legal or illegal before Roe. It was up to each state to decide. I believe 16 states had legalized abortion prior to Roe. If Roe disappears tomorrow abortion will be legal in some states but illegal in others.

False alarms are part of the terror strategy, giving past attacks more staying power.
I hope and pray that New Yorkers will stay vigilant while overcoming the indented results of their tormentors.

"You f—-ing can't stop us now; it's too late."
Put a gun to their heads and blow their brains out, then bury them in pig feces and entrails. That should do it.

Political correctness won't keep New Yorkers safe from terrorists, a state assemblyman said Sunday — promising to introduce legislation allowing cops to use racial profiling to target Middle Easterners when they search bags.

Dov Hikind (search) charged that it's "insane" to look for bombs in the bags of "75-year-old grandmothers," adding, "The FBI and authorities have a good idea of who is going to commit terrorism. They all look similar, but everyone is terrified of using the word 'racial.' "

A politician with sense. But it seems there are plenty in the police department, and plenty of other politicians, lawyers and civil libertarians who out of political correctness believe that 75-year-old grannies should be searched whilst 25-year-old Middle Easterners can be waved through. Some of these moonbats try to make it out that it is bad law enforcement to search Muslims. For heavens sakes it is Muslims who carried out the London and Madrid bombings. Need we say any more? I'm afraid with attitudes like that, any potential bombers will come to the conclusion that the US is still a soft touch and has learned nothing since 911.

Yes, we can stop them. We deport all the muslims and bulldoze the mosques. If the fools stage another attack on us, many more Americans will warm to the idea of deportation & demolition.

No muslims. No mosques.

kj-

You are succinct and correct as usual..We REALLY need more people like you on the moderate/left side to counterract the threat of Islamic fascism.

Huh? I have criticized Bush quite a few times here at JihadWatch and at LGF. He really p***es me off about the border, and about KSA. I am a conservative but I am not in lock-step with the GOP.

KJ,
You have done a lot of bitching but that's all it's been....Bush this, Bush that....If you think this started with Bush then you need to study your history again.
You know, if you had been around in WW2 you would have turned tail and quit after Japan attacked on Dec 7....."oh no, they attacked Hawaii....Oh no, they captured the Phillipines, Oh no, they are attacking Australia....we just need to understand them...what do you mean attack, that will cost American lives! Damned Roosevelt, IMPEACH him, the sky is falling!!
You think that the Iraq strategy will eliminate losses here? No, but it will reduce them.
Quit trying to find something to bitch about, roll up your sleeves and HELP. Grow a spine and defend yourself instead of finding a reason to run.
See, you don't have to like the way we fight this war. Nobody likes it. But the enemy knows that they can count on people like you to object, which helps them. But the fact remains that, like it or not, these people want you dead. Useful idiot that you may be, they will kill you as fast as they will kill me. Grow a spine.

Marv said "You know, if you had been around in WW2 you would have turned tail and quit after Japan attacked on Dec 7"

To repeat a tired analogy, on Dec 8, because of the attack on Pearl Harbor, FDR declared war on Mexico. I don't see KJ saying that there should be no response to 9/11, and I don't see KJ saying that we should "just try to understand them".

Iraq had as much to do with 9/11 as Canada or Fiji. Re-read the reports on 9/11 and see where the hijackers really came from, and then look at what our response has been towards that country. Hint: we didn't invade them, or even use harsh diplomatic language towards them.

I would love for there to have been a strong response directed at the jihadists after 9/11. Pointing out that Iraq is a pure diversion from the true source of the jihad does not change that one bit.

I usually don't bother with the bobbleheads but kj et al should really get around to looking at a map of the ME. If there's a more strategically signficant country from which to exert influence in the ME than Iraq I'd like to know which one it is. The USA would be there today even if the place had been run by Saint Saddam.

Just as an aside I sense that the great unwashed is getting very tired of the motor mouths who consume airtime and bandwidth while contributing nothing.

Peter Boston said exactly what I was going to say in reply to Special_Guest and KJ. Just take a look at a map and you can see Iraq's importance. Just take a look at the effort the enemy is putting into Iraq and you see the proof. And while Iraq was not directly involved with 911 it was certainly and proveably linked with world wide terrorism and AQ.

Most often the path to victory in a war is not the direct route. I realize where the hijackers and Bin laden come from, but if you think invading Iraq was a mistake, attacking the Saudis would be a larger one.

I also would like to see a stronger response but that's up to the Commander In Chief, not me, he has better intel and advisors than I.
