NEW DELHI -- A little-known group that police say has ties to Kashmir's most feared militants claimed responsibility Sunday for a series of terrorist bombings that killed 59 people in New Delhi....A man called a local news agency in Indian Kashmir to say the militant Islamic Inquilab Mahaz, or Front for Islamic Uprising, staged the bombings, which police said killed 59 people and wounded 210.
The caller, who identified himself as Ahmed Yaar Ghaznavi, said the bombings were "meant as a rebuff to the claims of Indian security groups" that militants had been wiped out by security crackdowns and the Oct. 8 earthquake that devastated the insurgents' heartland in the mountains of Kashmir.
A senior police officer in India's Jammu-Kashmir state said the caller's name was not familiar to intelligence agencies, and New Delhi's deputy police chief, Karnail Singh, said the group had not been very active since 1996.
However, while Singh refused to comment on the claim of responsibility, he said the group is linked to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, the most feared of the dozens of Kashmiri militant groups.
A leading anti-terrorism expert said earlier that the timing and nature of the blasts appeared to indicate the work of Lashkar.
"It looks like Lashkar. They are the most active group here," said Vikram Sood, the former head of the Research and Analysis Wing, India's foreign intelligence agency.
Must say not many in India are surprised that a Pakistan based petro-narco cash fed Lashkar-e-toiba is involved. Mohammadens haven't endeared themselves to anyone in India.
What's new? The Muslims have been attacking/pillaging the Hindus for hundreds of years; they will rest only when the whole of Hindustan is Muslim - not a likely event. Its time the non-Muslim world join together to destroy the Evil that is amongst our midst for 1400 years.
India can only move more forcefully once the West stops prattling `religion of peace`.
The spin off is that more Indians learn about their past, resulting on greater pressure on the umhappy muslims there to migrate to Paki, Bangla or Arab moslem lands.

to the jihaddists "innocent Muslim deaths" are not a problem. They are just involuntary martyrs, as with the recent bombing of a falafel stand in Hadera, Israel, which took the lives of 5 Israelis, two of whom were Muslims.
By attacking open-air markets the week before Diwali and Eid Fitri, whoever did the bombings ensure the victims will be a cross section of the Indian population.
I read somewhere that most of the Muslims would have been at home for the break fast as it was nearly sunset.
This was an attack targeted at Hindus out shopping before Diwali. All muslims were at home or in mosques, breaking the ramzan fast.
India's leaders, including the so-called Hindu hardliners are sanitizing the terrorist atack as
one on all Indians ("before Diwali ad Eid"). The liberal/communist controlled media won't even report the suffering of Hindus. The prime minister and home minister, both tired, old secularists hesitate to even condemn Muslim terrorists in barely audible voices, then go on to announce $25 million aid (in CASH) to Muslims in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Nobody protests this. What is the world coming to ?
