Concerning the suicide-bombing of 7/7 in London, al-Qaradawi linked to what he
called "inghimass" (to throw oneself against the enemy).

I searched on Google for "inghimass" and found NO ENTRIES OTHER THAN THOSE REFERENCING AL-QARADAWI. Why is that?

It is hard to see how John Esposito, how Hamid Dabashi, how half the membership of MESA Nostra, how the foot-soldiers of CAIR, can continue to so misrepresent Islam.

Stenhouse, sura and ayat, chapter and verse, with the Arabic nicely laid out.

What will it take for those who are decent and on the level, or semi-decent and semi-on-the-level, members of MESA Nostra, to revolt against the takeover of their organization, and their own reputations being sullied, and they themselves impliedly laughing-stocks, by their refusal to recognize or insist on the recognition of real scholarship.

One cannot continue to ignore Christoph Luxenberg (and see the essay on the Dome of the Rock in the just-published "Die dunkle Anfänge"), ignore Snouck Hurgronje and Schacht and Fattal and Abel and Huart and a few dozen others (many of them represented in "The Legacy of Jihad"). It just can't continue.

There is no way for Esposito, or for that matter for the assorted "Palestinian-identity" boys, from khalidis and massads to all their Muslim and even non-Muslim collaborators, to keep the minds of American graduate and undergraduate students off the subject of Islam. To Islam they will go, and they will, on their own, discover the real scholars who have been for so lon shunted aside. And the days when even Bernard Lewis was considered the fount of all wisdom are over.

It's too late to stop. Scholarship, and the truth, will out.

Mark Durie in Australia is one example. Johannes Jansen in the Netherlands another. Now here is Paul Stenhouse.

Read it, print it out, bring it to class. Give it to your fellow students, who are being led down assorted garden paths. Compalin to the university president of your choice -- why, in his university, is the teaching about Islam in the hands of apologists. Why, at the Army or Navy War College, do we so often get similar apologists, or people who, like the egregious Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, whose disply of banality, bromides, and silly anecdotes took the place of thought, at his ballyhooed "New American Foundation" lecture the other day in Washington -- par, I'm afraid, for the Washington think-tanky, think-Tommy-the-tanky, course.

Carry copies of Stenhouse to the next Mosque Outreach, the next "Muslim-Christian" or "Muslim-Jewish" Dialogue, the next people-are-the-same-the-whole-world-over gathering you can stomach attending, in order to blow the whole thing up.

Five or six should be enough. If you have a big briefcase, bring more.

It's all so cheap; yet in the end it will all be so terribly expensive.

You Western people are something! You know: as somebody born on the dark side of the moon, I think you people (Westerners) are fascinating. A great paradox… Showing great genius in scientific and economic endeavors, solving some of the Universe greatest mysteries, and yet are puzzled and bewildered by self perpetuated problems that a stone age simpleton living in some corner in the globe would solve in a minute. You are like somebody traveling in the desert weighed down by lawn furniture, aroma therapy candles, and the entire encyclopedia Britannica instead of water and food.

The membership of this site: reading books, learning all that they can about the Islamic dogma, jurisprudence, and history to grasp what an illiterate Copt can tell you in 10 seconds…Islam is from Satan and the Muslims are thugs. How much more books we need to site to prove to the world the self evident existential truth of Islam?... There are members of the site who give the simplest list of actions to save the West from Islam: deportation, alternatives to petroleum, imposing economic, military, technological blockade of Muslims. Straightforward enough… But, how in the h--l are you going to go about implementing your brilliantly simple plan? Politically, culturally, demographically, legally, spiritually, and time-wise the West is incapable of coping with the Islamic invasion. We are depended on the Muslims doing a catastrophic harm to us in such a spectacular fashion that our citizenry and body politic would then be prepared to do what is necessary to deal once and for all with the Islamic threat. However, this will not ban out. The Muslims are like an invading parasite that slowly eats away and kills the host’s body, one organ at a time, using every captured cell to attack those remaining healthy. The parasite was initially ignored or it successfully deceived the immune system, lowering into a false sense of security, gathering strength inside accommodating cells, using those cells to poison the body and destroy its defenses, when a critical mass of parasite is gathered, and the defenses are sufficiently depleted, the death blow is dealt.

And you may be right - our grandchildren may live as infidel slaves in an Islamic hell in the west. I pray that it will not happen.
perhaps by reading the History of Countries that resisted and repelled Islam, we might gain some worthwhile knowledge. India although ravaged in the most Barabaric way has managed to hold on to its integrity and culture. HOW did they manage it? they could prove our best allies in this respect.
Other countries in South America for example, have simply refused to accept Islamic immigration.
Or they have been ruled by tough dictatorships unatractive to Islam who prefer the soft underbelly of democracies.
Alistair Cooke the Briliabt commentator who died recently once broadcated from London before WW2 and reported on the extreme appeasement of the British in the face of Nazi fascism. Chamberlain was supported by the establishment and millions of British signed peace in our time documents. Had not Winston Churchill been elected , i think it is possible that the British would have capitulated.
the same appeasement and head in the sand attitudes prevail today and of course the situation is worse because the enemy is within and infinitley more devious and patient than the Nazis who wanted world domination in one decade.

Islam as you rightly say proceeds by stealth and can wait for centuries. It is like a game of blind man's bluff- tiny steps are taken continually.
And yes why do we keep reading and rereading books that tell us what we know already?
Is it perhaps to comvince ourselves that we may after all be wrong and hey! everything is going to be OK.
Should we expect every housewife to read long accounts of the scourge of Islam throughout the centuries?

I'm not an American, but you have to understand that it is a nation founded on certain individual freedoms, including the freedom of religion. Because Islamism, as opposed to Nazism and Fascism, appears to be a religion, centred around a self-declared prophet of God, it has been able to stay under the radar for a very long time. And, as for the PC idiots who refuse to recognize this, well, they've aligned themselves with the perceived victims and no amount of fact will shake them from this until they themselves are confronted personally.

I wish there had been a bit more introduction as to just what this Stenhouse paper is and its value to us. (Perhaps reading it will solve my problem!)

There was another narcissictic self-declaired prophet-of-God who, in the latter 19th century, purloined and twisted the teachings of Christianity and Judaism into a self-proclaimed "revelation", and with some of the same misogynistic trappings, but whose millions of followers have probably, nonetheless, done more good than harm in the world.

This imperialistic nature of islam, and the obligation conquer the world by force, this overarching street-gang mentality, sets it apart from the others.

I tellya, Moslems are emotionally-disturbed and badly spoiled adult children armed with knives, guns, poisons, and bombs.

Hugh sez that they should just be content to breed their way to Sharia. And he's right.

But I say that, in their bloodthirst, they won't be able to resist a major mass murder. They get all sexually excited about killing five times a day, and experience group death-cult orgasms every Friday.

Now that they're all agitated after OBM having called for Jihad, they won't be able to resist some good old All-Arabian style genocide.

It's our only hope.

Those that believe that we in the West will never label Islam and a fascist ideology have another thought coming. There are many who are fed up with p.c. thinking AND ACTING, and are perfectly willing to call a spade and spade and take appropriate action. Don't imagine for a minute that we are planning to lie down and play dead. Our leaders may be wimps, but there are many good men and women ready to stand up and be counted in this struggle.

The key is education, vividly and in living color, letting the infidels know exactly what is in store for them, their children, and their grandchildren under the islamic scimitar. There are plenty of historic accounts to draw from. I'd love to see feature movies depicting our future under islam. They won't come from the quivering dhimmi's in Hollywood, but perhaps from Bollywood or from some dedicated indies.

However, I do believe that by the time we do finally stand up to this threat, we will be branded as "insurgents or terrorists" in our own Islamic US of A. We are losing this war, even with the limited successes in Iraq and Afghanistan, we are still losing. See Mindanao, see Europe, Southeast Asia, etc. It is not lost, yet, but until the West can get the cajones to even admit that the enemy is Islam, we cant even hope to win.

I have read both both the book 'The conquest of Abyssinia' and the PDF article posted above and highly recommend them. Dr Stenhouse is a first rate scholar who has been sounding the alarm about Islam long before it was a little more popular. The publishing of the book 'The Conquest of Abyssinia' was the first time it had been made available from Arabic into the English language. I personally know of the painstaking labour and care that Dr Stenhouse had put into just the footnotes alone for the benefit of researchers. Dr Stenhouse has a working ability in many languages with Arabic, Ancient and Modern Hebrew, Syriac, Aramaic, Uggaritic, French, Italian and German in the list of just the ones that come to my memory. He has been writing and commenting as a journalist and Historian, on the Middle East since the Sixties and has had strong valuable comment especially on the plight of Lebanon since that time to the present. He is the editor of Australia's oldest Catholic Magazine 'ANNALS' first published in 1889. I myself am a protestant Christian but have gained valuable material from within the pages of this publication. Lastly, this scholar is not just an academic but has and is engaged in work both here in Australia and overseas right there on the ground where ordinary people conduct their lives. This is a scholar who is not out of touch with life.
