Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia's government has endorsed a university's ruling that requires non-Muslim women to wear headscarves on its campuses, a report said on Wednesday.The minister in charge of national unity, Maximus Ongkili, said the decision by the International Islamic University earlier this year was not a religious one, but merely part of university procedures.
"As the rule was approved by the university senate, it is not religious in nature but a matter of uniforms that must be followed. It does not breach basic human rights," Ongkili was quoted as saying in the Star daily....
The growing influence of Islam on Malaysian society over the past two decades has seen a major increase in the number of Malay Muslim women wearing headscarves as a sign of religious devotion.

Ongkili told parliament that Malaysians had to respect rules formulated by the government and other institutions to prevent social unrest.
"In a multi-racial country each community must respect one another. But at the same time we must respect the laws of the country, institutions and organisations to ensure there is no disturbance to the community," he said.
He was responding to opposition leader Lim Kit Siang, who had read out an email from a non-Muslim undergraduate from the university complaining she was forced to wear a headscarf to her graduation ceremony.
Lim accused the government of recanting on an April statement that non-Muslims would be "encouraged" but not forced to wear headscarves.
"So why the change now? Is this not disrespectful of a plural society," he said according to the Star.
"Malaysia's government has endorsed a university's ruling that requires non-Muslim women to wear headscarves on its campuses."
Then every Moslem female in every American school, public or private, must forthwith begin wearing Madonna outfits on campus. A cautionary example of why we must thwart goals of an Islam that will enslave us all. Moderate Muslims are politicized and threatened to accept the more stringenth Islam by radical Muslims. In non-Muslim areas they go along with the strictures of the radicals out of fear of reprisals, a time-honored method of spreading Islam.
This particular example is happening in Malaysia, but close examination shows that Africans, Europeans, and even North Americans are feeling the hot breath of desert-Arab Islam on their necks, a destructive Islam that will scorch and then wither all with whom they come in contact.

Can someone please show me a moderate Moslem? The fabled Moderate Moslem is an elusive beast that by all evidence is as fleeting a sight as the unicorn.
There ain't no such thing as a moderate Moslem. These Moslem things come in three variations only:
1) Good active Moslems (Jihadists)
2) Good inactive Moslems (tacit, quiet supporters of their Jihadist brothers)
3) Bad Moslems (apostates, somewhat more closely related to the pure human species)
Uncritical acceptance of the putative notion of the Moderate Moslem is the central reason for the total lack of progress over the last four years. If you read contemporary history, Moslems have indeed advanced their cause since September 11, 2001. Put another way, they profited by killing 3,000 souls on American soil that day.
Anybody who accepts the ridiculous Moderate Moslem concept in so doing contributes to Jihad and the ultimate victory of Sharia.

There seems to be only three categories. There can be no other categories as it is not provided for in their holy texts and as nothing in the mohammedan way of life can be changed or altered, they have no ability to create anything different, for that would be asserting a new thought by an independent individual, separate from allah and, thus, blasphemy.

So, the French Muslims were told that they too had to respect laws formulated by the government, in order to prevent social unrest, meaning headscarfs were not to be worn by French Muslim school girls. Is this OK with the Muslim readers/commentators of JW and DW? Let's hear from you on this one. What is it? In Muslim countries, everyone must obey Muslim law. Why must Muslims be accomodated when they are NOT in the majority in Western countries.(i.e. prayer rooms in offices) Are you so special everywhere you live in the world? Is it always WIN-WIN for you? It seems so to me and I resent it deeply.

Some decent Muslims I know, while professing to be religious in fact just ignore their religion. They are inert, nonreactive just living life, and do not support the Jihadist, but one wonders just how they would respond to a life shattering event, I fear they would them seek their faith with a vengeance and if they then believe, violence would be their likely response.

The decent Muslims you are describing are the bad Muslims Chaz has categorized as #3. According to Chaz's hypothesis, if you are a decent person by Western standards, you are a bad Muslim by Islamic standards.
And if I can further expand on his concept, Muslims will drift from the third category to either of the first two and vice-versa according to their individual situation. They are not necessarily stuck in any one category. Hence, you are rightfully concerned with your fears of "decent" muslims losing the plot at any point in time. But that will ultimately depend on how truely decent a human being they really are.

We are talking about an Islamic University in a Muslim majority country. Why shouldn't women be obliged to wear the "school uniform" set by the university. I am a firm believer of the When in Rome adage. So, if the female students don't like this rule, they should leave this institution of lower learning. They won't regret it.
There are no two kinds of Muslims.The West has to get this into their minds. One moderate/good and the other radical/bad. A Muslim is one who believes the Koran as the true word of Allah and the Hadiths. So there is only one kind, they all follow this evil ideology and wants the whole of mankind to follow them. We have to fear them all- talk of wolves in sheep's clothing; those are the so called good Muslims who have crept into our midst as a fifth column and then demand all sorts of rights to establish their faith over in western countries while at the same time denying and destroying (killing) in their own lands all others who belong to other religions.

Moslems who fall into category #3, Bad Moslems (apostate) are also worrisome.
Let us not forget that another of the many unique features of Islam is the commandment to kill any who leave the nation by turning to a religion or to atheism.
That leaves them in a twilight zone from which, when all-out Jihad ensues, they can be reluctantly enlisted as fighters on the side of evil. Probably already most Bad Moslems support the cause by paying the Zakat.
I'd be interested in seeing Messrs. Spencer and Fitzgerald estimate how our 1.2 billion Moslem friends would be distributed (by percentage) into the three categories.

There are not many muslims. There is only one, but that one has infected millions. Humans are not all exactly the same, even when they agree. So when the one muslim infects the many, different kinds of reactions occur. The three catagories are a measurement of some of the reactions. Sort of like spacific gravity, from the mild to the hardcore. But it's all in the same container and that container is the one muslim, Islam. In theory, apostates should not be listed because they escaped the container. Unless, of course, the case can be made that once a muslim, always a muslim, but I dont think that case can be made. It's hard to un-enlighten someone once they have become 'enlightened'. It takes 'enlightenment' to escape the clutches of the one muslim, so going back is not likely.

As islam becomes more aggressive in Malaysia, the people who are responsible for the prosperity of Malaysia, the Chinese and Indians, are likely to depart.
