Indian media have been publishing exposés documenting the foul behavior of Gulf Arabs in the southern Indian town of Hyderabad “Fly-by-night bridegrooms,” by R Akhileshwari in the Deccan Herald and “One minor girl, many Arabs,” by Mohammed Wajihuddin in the Times of India are two important examples. Wajihuddin sets the stage:They are old predators with new vigour. Often bearded, invariably in flowing robes and expensive turbans. The rich, middle-aged Arabs increasingly stalk the deprived streets of Hyderabad like medieval monarchs would stalk their harems in days that we wrongly think are history. These Viagra-enabled Arabs are perpetrating a blatant crime under the veneer of nikaah, the Islamic rules of marriage.(I have silently corrected some typos). Wajihuddin then specifies the problem:
Misusing the sanctioned provision which allows a Muslim man to have four wives at a time, many old Arabs are not just marrying minors in Hyderabad, but marrying more than one minor in a single sitting. “The Arabs prefer teenage, virgin brides,” says Jameela Nishat, who counsels and sensitises young women against the malaise.
The Arabs usually “marry” the girls for short periods, sometimes just a single night. In fact, Wajihuddin reports, marriage and divorce formalities are often prepared at the same time, thereby expediting the process for all involved. Akhileshwari notes that “their girl children are available for as little as 5,000 rupees to satisfy the lust of doddering old Arab men.” Five thousand rupees, by the way, equals just a bit over US$100.An Indian television program recently reported on a show-casing of eight prospective brides, most of them minors, at which they were offered up to their Arab suitors. “It resembled a brothel. The girls were paraded before the Arab who would lift the girls’ burqa, run his fingers through their hair, gaze at their figures and converse through an interpreter,” recalls one of Nishat’s assistants.
Wajihuddin also offers a specific case history:
On the first of August, forty-five-year-old Al Rahman Ismail Mirza Abdul Jabbar, a sheikh from the UAE, approached a broker in these matters, seventy-year-old Zainab Bi, in the walled city, near the historic Char Minar. The broker procured Farheen Sultana and Hina Sultana, aged between thirteen and fifteen, for twenty thousand rupees [DP comment: that equals US$450]. Then he hired Qazi [DP comment: an Islamic judge, usually spelled qadi in English] Mohammed Abdul Waheed Qureshi to solemnise the marriage. The qazi, taking advantage of an Islamic provision, married the girls off to the Arab. After the wedding night with the girls, the Arab left at dawn.So much for that “marriage.”
Sunita Krishnan, head of an anti human-trafficking organization, Prajwala, makes the only too-obvious point that girl children are not valued. “If a girl child is sold or her life ruined, it is not a national loss, that’s why this is a non-issue, both for community and to society.” With the exception of Maulana Hameeduddin Aqil, the head of Millat-e-Islamia (a local organization, apparently not connected the notorious Pakistani terrorist group), who speaks out against these sham marriages (“They are committing a sin. It’s not nikaah, it’s prostitution by another name”), the Islamic authorities in India are almost all silent about this travesty of the Shari’a.
For their part, Muslim politicians in the city of Hyderabad apparently could care less. “It’s not on the poll agenda of any politician,” says Mazhar Hussain, director of a social welfare organization, the Confederation of Voluntary Associations. The Majlis-e-Ittihadul Muslameen, the main party of Hyderabad’s Muslims, is blissfully unconcerned: “You cannot deny that the fortunes of many families have changed through such marriages,” MIM’s president, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, cheerfully points out.
Comments:
(1) Ironically, the girls thus proffered appear all to be Muslim – no Hindus or others need apply.
(2) The behavior of Arabs in India in some way parallels that of Japanese and Westerners in Thailand, with the notable difference that the Indian case involves marriage, an emphasis on virginity, and local authorities seemingly pleased with providing their minor girls for sex tourism.
(3) Arabian sex tourism is not exclusive to India but also takes place in other poor countries.
(4) This trade in persons is merely one dimension of a problem that prevails through Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states (for another dimension, see “Saudis Import Slaves to America”).
(5) Concubinage, forced labor, indentured servitude, slavery – these deep problems are nowhere near being addressed in the Gulf region, much less solved. Indeed, one prominent Saudi theologian has gone so far as to state that “Slavery is a part of Islam” and whoever says it should be abolished “is an infidel.” So long as such attitudes can be articulated publicly, without censure, abuses are certain to continue.
(6) The hypocrisy of this trade is perhaps its vilest aspect. Better prostitution, frankly acknowledged, than religiously-sanctioned fake marriages, for the former is understood to be a vice while the latter parades as a virtue.
(7) Wajihuddin compares the Arabian men to “medieval monarchs” and the analogy is apt. These transactions, involving Muslim minors and conducted under the auspices of Islamic law, point yet again to the dominance of premodern ways in the Muslim world and the urgent need to modernize the Islamic religion.
Let's be careful about how we respond this. After all, Western sex tourists pour into Thailand and Brazil every year to buy young women and girls.
The main point here is Islamic hypocrisy...attacking the moral degeneration of the West while engaging in identical behavior...hidden under the Burkha of temporary marriage.
Religion of Peace ... and Tolerance ... and Science ... and Respect for Women. This must be why so many white and Hispanic women are converting.
This happens because it, no matter how vile, does not violate the letter of Islamic law.

A couple of years ago, the Arab News published a story of a Saudi who had had 59 wives - four at a time. Basically, he played them against each other and whoever eventually pleased him least was divorced. I guess it's a Muslim version of "Survivor". After he dies, the last four wives end up with their share of all the marbles.
Periodically, Arab News runs stories about "hanging wives". This slang expression refers to a wife whose husband refuses to support her and refuses to divorce her. It's apparently a serious enough problem that the Saudi government reportedly has a separate charity to provide some support for these women.

When Muslims talk about the decadence of the West or their own superior morality they are not objecting to promiscuity per se. After all, what is temporary marriage but prostitution; what are polygamy and divorce by repudiation but promiscuity by any other name?
No, what they object to is women's sexual autonomy. An uncovered woman choosing her own sexual partner or even having male friends offends them more than what amounts to child rape in the form of 'marriage'. What a twisted ideology.

As a young muslim, when questioning the rationale for polygyny in Islam, I was first told that back in the day, the male:female ratio was low. The number of marriageable men had declined because of the many wars. Therefore, as a way to "provide" for women, multiple marriages were permitted as a sort of "kindness".
When I asked about its relevance today, as I had observed that this disparity had closed somewhat, the elders decided that it was time to fill me with some bile aginst the Wicked West. I was: "Look at the rampant promiscuity in the West! Married men take mistresses! And what of the Mistress, when the man is done with her? She is discarded without compensation! In Islam, men are legally allowed to take more than one wife, and it exhorts the equitable treatment of all those betrothed! The women have rights! They are guaranteed financial support and recompense!".
Of course, as a child, a muslim is conditioned never to question the illogic within Islam. One thus develops the capacity to "doublethink" and develop juicy rationalizations (which, per "The Big Chill", is even more necessary than sex). Anyhow, moving right along. Now, having being separated from the conditioning mode of Islamic discourse, I now echo what Pipes says:

But if those pictures of cavoritng Saudis, Kuwaitis, and so on were to be available, they might arise ire in the same way that pictures of Saudis losing fortunes, rather than breaking the bank, at Monte Carlo, can raise Islmaic hackles. Their grand theft of the nation's wealth, the luxury of their lives, their obvious decadence -why, just compare it to the austere Bin Laden (four wives is quite enough for him, and he needs no others), or Al-Zawahiri, two scions of prominent families whose appeal is at least partly due to their obvious self-abnegation.
Collect those photographs, boys. Threaten to put them all over the Internet, if those Al-Saud do not collaborate (oh, and that one with the girl will be $50 million, but the other one, the one with the two little boys, will cost you $65 million for the negative -- sorry, what with gas prices rising, and inflation and everything, what's the poor C.I.A. to do?).

We have ways to obtain the collaboration of those who do not like us, who hate us, but who can worry about what we can do to them.
One hopes that those ways are being employed.
And come to think of it -- is it really necessary these days, what with computer technology, even to take those pictures? Can't we just manufacture them, and most plausibly? Still, there is somethiing about the authentic backdrop, that roulette wheel, that chair used by King Edward VII himself, those other strange instruments that the successors to, and followers of, the late Saudi cleric, Sheikh Bin Baz, I'm afraid, would not approve of. And might do something to express their disapproval.

Hardly surprising really. Have you read 'Princess' by Jean Sassoon? She wrote about three books on similar themes. Very easy to read, these books touch on the inevitable lesbianism that arises for that very reason. It also describes the temporary 'marriage' of young girls and sex slavery generally.
Two stories stick in my mind. One is of a 12 year old girl from Pakistan, sold to a Saudi man as a sex slave and being gang raped by him and his brothers. Not only do the men not think it is wrong, but the Arab women think it is OK because men can't help themselves and in any case the girl has been paid for. Another story is of a girl in a modern hospital in Jeddah, about to give birth. As soon as she has had the baby she will be executed. Her crime? She was gang raped.
Astonishingly, the writer completely exhonerates Islam from these and other horrors she describes. Yet the treatment of women is no worse than that meted out by Mohammed and his companions and breaks no law in Islam.

I was amazed when I first found out that the morality police are on permanent duty at hopitals in various countries the Middle East in checking the credentials of women turning up at the maternity ward in labour and arresting any who were not with their husbands. There is a whole industry in Southeast Asia and Brazil that caters to Western tourists seeking sex.
Exploiting a woman's poverty for sexual pleasure is of dubious morality, but exploiting children for sexual pleasure is unconscienable, no matter who you are.

It seems this woman had to give birth in the parking lot as she was not allowed inside the hospital as her husband was on a business trip. Yes I could tell you many other little tales and anecdotes regarding all kinds of posts here at JW/DW. Israel, jihad, womens rights...anything. Ive had fights with arabs. There are lots of anecdotes? Where do u want me to begin? Alright lets start with anti-semitism. So I was 14-15 I think when the Muhammad Al-Dura incident happened. Me and friends were just returning home from a session of basketball. In the street were these Arab teenagers screaming stuff in Arabic. I could make one out "Al-Yahood Shaiteen" and "philisteen" something. So this dude out of nowhere jumps in front of me and says "Israel fuck.." *pointing towards his genitals with a middle finger* I reply "fuck Israel" without knowing what exactly Israel did or caring...just needed to get home. The reply made the Arab teen jubilant and he stormed off screaming slogans and joined the other hooligans. They had empty soda bottles that they were blasting on the roadsides.
The following has happened countless number of times. In the housing compound that I live in, there are a few sports facilities like a basketball court, a soccer field, a tennis court and a volleyball court. So these fucked up Arab kids would never play soccer in the soccer field but would instead put temporary goal posts in the basketball court and play there. So we often had fights with them over playing basketball. Once I asked the idiots to play in the giant soccer field made especially for them to which one kid replied "yaa, hada kabeer", meaning ITS TOO BIG!!!!!..hah. So once there was this other macho Arab Muslim kid trying to push me n my friends off the basketball court even though we had been playin for a coupla hours. When we didnt relent to his incessant nagging and bitching, he started the usual Islamic cursing...."Jahannum" "shaitaan" "kaafir" looking skywards and probably asking Allah to bring down his wrath upon us infidels who defy a believer.

I thought that Mentat said that he was a muslim. I'm sure that I asked him, and he said that he was.
Gold is considered haram for men. This was a Saudi restaurant. A Mut'awaa happened to pass me by as he was exiting the place and he saw my necklace and demanded that I remove it. I didn't. So he ordered the manager of the restaurant not to let me in or he wud have the place closed down.
