In a video tape aired on a Qatari satellite channel, Ayman al-Zawahiri, one of the leading figures in Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, called on the world Muslims to send aid to the devastated Pakistani victims after a deadly earthquake hit South Asia earlier this month, killing more than 40,000 people, and driving thousands others homeless."I call on all Muslims in general and I call on all Islamic humanitarian associations in particular to move to Pakistan to provide help to their Pakistani brothers, and that they do it quickly," he said.

This call for aid is a little late. Why weren't agencies set up in advance with products and manpower ready to go? Everyone understands the danger to which those people are exposed while living there.

All Western governments should publicly, and repeatedly, be seconding Al-Zawihiri -- where is that money from Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., and Kuwait? How much money have they taken in this year, last year, the past 30 years, and just how much, other than those mosques and madrasas and propaganda operations (with Western diplomats, intelligence agents, journalists, business men, and supposedly disinterested "students" of the Middle East and Islam), have they contributed to such things as agricultural development, water-treatment plants, infrastructure, and so on, of fellow Muslim countries (that they would ever contribute anything to non-Muslims, except in order to buy temporary "good will" as just after 9/11 with that pitiful check written by the Saudi princeling with the facial tic, correctly torn up by an indignant Guiliani, is out of the question. Muslims do not help their "fellow man" -- there is no such thing in Islam as their "fellow man," but only helping one's "fellow Muslims" for the world is divided between Believers and Infidels. The first you help, but even there the rich Arabs are not exactly eager to help poor Arabs, except to pay off their families for being suicide-bomb-fodder (so much for all that "social justice" nonsense that is bandied about as a feature of Islam), As for helping non-Arab Muslims -- fuhgeddaboutit. Unless of course the spotlights are focussed.
Focus those spotlights. Use up that discretionary income of the rich Arabs, so that they have less to spend on arms, less to spend on acquiring weapos of mass destruction, less to spend on mosques and madrasas throughout the Bilad al-Kufr, less to spend on propaganda campaigns all over the world and on employing an army of Western hirelings.
There should be an entire government office set up, with the most cunning employees, who will spend their time, racking their brains, figuring out ways to embarrass the rich Arabs, and especially the Saudis, into spending their money in ways less likely to harm us, and in thinking of further ways to add surcharge after surcharge, expense after expense, to everything they buy, and finally, to figure out how to help lawsuits be successful against Saudi defendants, how to seize Saudi assets, how -- in short -- to take away some of that ill-gotten gains that they have done nothing to deserve, and that fund the Jihad, and those who participate or support or defend or explain away that Jihad.
It can be done. It requires just a bit more intelligence than has heretofore been shown, and a bit less emphasis on all this tough-guy "boots on the ground" stuff. War consists, in this case, of a lot more than that.

Now let’s go to the main attraction – the single worst disaster Jihadism has possibly ever suffered. Since I wrote The Wrath of Allah a week ago, a lot more is known about the extent of damage and death caused by the October 8 earthquake and subsequent aftershocks in northern Pakistan.
It is a horrible human tragedy, with a death toll now over 80,000 and millions homeless and suffering. Our hearts must go out to these people – while at the same time realize that this area harbored the greatest concentration of Moslem terrorists on earth.
Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups like Laskar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Harakat-ul-Mujahaddin, and Mujahaddin Al Badr operated freely throughout the region.
They and a sect of Wahhabi-like Moslem radicals called Deobandis were protected and supplied by the Pakistani Army and Pakistan Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI). Saudi Wahhabi money poured into the coffers of these groups to fund mosques and maddresahs (Moslem schools where students are taught only the Koran and hatred of infidels).
These groups were constantly launching terrorist attacks across the border into Indian Kashmir, and waging a relentless campaign of violence, murder, and intimidation upon Pakistani villagers who were fellow Moslems but didn’t agree with Jihadism.
The devastation wrought upon these groups by the earthquake is simply phenomenal. Their headquarters – the town of Muzaffarabad – is total rubble. Their training camps and facilities are destroyed, their supply and ammo depots irretrievably buried. Hundreds of their mosques and maddresahs are in complete ruins. Indian intelligence sources now confirm that many thousands of Jihadis are dead, both the leaders and the cannon fodder.
This earthquake has caused a fantastic setback for radical Islam in Pakistan, and for Al Qaeda’s ability to train Jihadis for attacks in Afghanistan, India, Iraq, Europe, and America.
The Pak Army and ISI are now making every effort to divert the millions in aid flowing into Pakistan to the Jihadis. Already, Pakistani-American groups in California’s Silicon Valley and elsewhere are raising money for “charities” to help the earthquake victims, with many of the charities run by the terrorist groups listed above.
The only way to help the victims is with stuff – donations of blankets and warm clothing for example, and not cash which can end up in Jihadi pockets.
As the world tries to alleviate the vast suffering of the earthquake’s victims, it should also be of grim satisfaction that the Wrath of Allah has descended upon Jihadi terrorism, from which it will not soon recover.

No doubt most of the money that them Muslim nations are raising is going straight to the terrorists. Will be tons of new Islamic Relief efforts that we will have to track down all over again. They have been hurt physically but the financial windfall may well be worth it to them.
Perhaps if Zawarhi convinces OBL to convert Al Qaeda from a terrorist organisation to a humanitarian organisation, renounce Islam and turn to Christ there could be hope of God's will being done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
The fact that the Paki Army is not able to handle the situation is a terrible indictment.
It raises doubts as to their effectiveness in any war.
