KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - Afghan police on Wednesday found the decapitated body of an Indian man who Taliban insurgents said they kidnapped and executed, a provincial official said.The body of the engineer, who had been working on a road project, was found on a dirt road in the southern province of Nimroz, said Mohammad Hashim, a district chief in the province.
"Police have found the body of the Indian national and I can confirm that he has been killed," Hashim told Reuters.
The young man had been beheaded, according to Amanullah Khan, chief of highway police in the province.
The head was placed with the body and a note, apparently written in English was also found, Khan said.

Kutty's wife and aged parents are in a state of shock after hearing of his death. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had confirmed the news of Maniappan's death a short while ago, his uncle, Krishanankutty told PTI.
The news had been conveyed to Maniappan's aged parents Ramankutty, 70 and Mani 60. His wife Bindu and two children are also with them and the family is devastated, he said. The family was waiting for Maniappan to visit them on November 8 when, instead, Border Roads Organisation personnel were posted to Afghanistan.
"We were eagerly waiting for the homecoming, which was never to be," Krishnankutty said.
Maniappan is the only son of his parents and the sole breadwinner of the family. With tears and prayers, the family was hoping against hope to hear good news, a relative said.
Why build roads in Afghanistan? Why make it easier for people to travel? Why not keep their economies and lives limited to the village level, or at least not make this a project for Infidel money, Infidel know-how? Given that the new Afghani parliament contains all sorts of unpleasant characters, including some quite clearly linked to the most militant expression of Islam, and given that all those hopes and dreams for a "new Afghanistan" under the plausible and oleaginous (and Mahathir-Mohamed-speech-approving) Hamid Karzai, why should the Americans, or the other NATO countries, take it upon themselves to build roads and other elements of infrastructure as easily exploited by Taliban supporters or Al-Qaeda as by Afghanis travelling from one city to the next.
Explain exactly how this helps the anti-Jihad -- or does it come simply under general rubric of "End Poverty. Build Up Economies. Appeal of "extremists" Diminishes." What unproved, and counter-to-the-evidence nonsense. Before 1973 and the OPEC price rise, the world-wide Jihad was largely confined ot a very few places. The wherewithal of oil money, or foreign aid, and the improvenemnts in, for example, Iranian life that turned once blissfully unaware rural poor into audiences of audiocassettes, videocassettes, satellite TV, all spreading the message of Khomeini, should have demonstrated the danger of certain kinds of changes in life.
The world, contrary to Jeffery Sachs, and to Paul Wolfowitz (the lachrymose-voiced part-architect of the Iraq venture now safely ensconced for his next Big Thing -- Ending World Poverty by flinging about Western money at the World Bank), and to all sorts of Schemers and Dreams, is not infinitely malleable. And we are not here, we did not vote to be thrust into the job of, remaking the universe. The world is too much with us, in every sense. The chief victims of Jihad should be helped. The uncertainty displayed by European allies is partly a result of self-corruption and the confusion of their own elites, heightened by the clever campaign of Muslim and Arab propaganda, which blends the exploitatoin of those pre-existing mental conditions, anti-Americanism and antisemitism (antisemitism and anti-Israel beliefs are mutually reinforcing) with the calculated deployment of oil wealth to buy an army of apologists.
But it is also a reaction to the maladroit, inarticulate, and country-bumpkinish performance of Bush and Company. Leaving Iraq now will not only save American lives, money, equipment, and rescue military morale. It will be the greatest Speech-Act of all time. Accompanied by other acts and plans, such withdrawal will signal not retreat, but ratherthat the Americans, whatever their rhetoric ("we wish the Iraqi people well, and look forward to working with them in the future"), have at long last recognized the need (even if it is not stated in such terms, even if such terms are carefully avoided), in recognizing the need to divide and demoralize and use up the resources of the Muslim states and peoples. And then, having given this signal, turn attention to how to stop the Da'wa (and help make the practice of Islam not welcome, but unwelcome, in the Lands of the Infidels) and the demographic conquest, of Western Europe.
The sad thing is that this guy (who was incidently a driver not an Engineer) worked for BRO which is an Indian Army affiliated government organisation. He didnt ask to go there was just doing his duty.
The religion of peace and tolerance strikes again. Of course it couldn't be Muslims. It must be the Jews. Or maybe Eskimos. Or Pygmies. But not Muslims.

The Nazis killed 6 million before they were stopped. The turks, 1.5 million. Rwanda saw 800,000 or so killed in 97. 20 to 50 million Hindus killed during the Mughal invasions of the 16th century.
Humans seem to be fairly slow on the uptake about this sort of thing, taking their sweet time in getting around to stopping genocide, if they stop it at all, instead letting the butchers work themselves to exhaustion or out of victims.
At this rate, a wedding party here, a funeral there, the odd engineer or driver to fill those long hot afternoons, policeman for breakfast and Marines for dinner, it's going to be quite some time before anyone abandons all the euphemisms and starts getting serious about the threat at hand.

Nobody shouting for revenge, nobody setting up barricades or attacking members of Kerala's Muslim minority.
