PARIS, France (CNN) -- Rioting erupted for an eighth straight night in the impoverished suburbs of Paris, with angry youths setting fire to a school, a bus depot, two textile warehouses and hundreds of vehicles.Although the unrest Thursday and early Friday was less intense than in previous nights, the disturbances spread outside the Paris region for the first time.
Violence was reported in some 20 communities across the country, including areas near Rouen in northern France, Dijon in the east and Marseille in the south.
In the Seine-Saint-Denis region to the north and east of the capital, youths fired buckshot at riot police vehicles in Neuilly-sur-Marne, The Associated Press quoted the area's top official, Prefect Jean-Francois Cordet, as saying.
A group of 30 to 40 youths harassed police near a synagogue further east in Stains, Cordet said.
Officials said 187 vehicles had been destroyed overnight in Seine-Saint-Denis, the worst-hit area located between central Paris and Charles de Gaulle airport, Reuters reported.
Local media said up to 600 vehicles were destroyed across the entire Paris region, including 23 buses at a terminal near Versailles. An amateur video aired on television showed them in a row in flames, according to Reuters.
Police detained 27 people and reported two injuries -- one a policeman and another a handicapped person badly burned during an arson attack on a city bus.
The latest violence flared despite the presence of about 2,000 additional police officers, and despite hopes that festivities marking the end of Ramadan would calm tensions.

I am left remembering a comment that a driving instructor said to me when I was in driving school in Paris. He pointed up at the windows of an apartment complex and said "Behind each one of those satellite dishes is a Muslim. Maybe they are unemployed because it is more fun to sit at home and watch Palestinians throwing rocks."
Considering the average French household is 3 people and the average Muslim (in France) household is made up of 8 people... its a numbers game. Fix it before its too late!

Let the majority of America/Europeans who sit back dreaming that Islam is a religion of peace see for themselves just what Islam is truely all about. But make it happen. The lead story on the CBC-TV news last night was the rioting in Paris. The commentator introduced it by explaining how these youths lived in underprivileged conditions in contrast to the wealth found elsewhere in Paris. The viewer was then supposed to make the mental leap that this is sufficient reason to torch a city. The youths were identified as being Muslims from North Africa -- but the emphasis was on their supposed shabby living conditions and lack of opportunity.
Later in the same news programme, with a sweet irony (I'd love to know if the timing was not coincidental but a means of saying in film what could not be said in words on the newscast), there was a documentary about the rise of anti-Semitism in France, and in particular Paris. A young Jewish girl who had been attacked on Paris streets, when asked to identify her attackers, hesitated and then said "blacks and Arabs." She identified them by their obvious physical characteristics, but the documentary was clear in pointing us back to the Muslim roots of this hatred.
The Muslim situation in France was examined including coverage of some hate-mongering imams and vile anti-Semitic films. But then we saw the French politicians wringing their hands and saying, "But we have freedom of speech."
Any observant viewer couldn't help but make the connection: Paris is burning, Jews are leaving because of the rampant anti-Semitism there, and at the same time the Muslim population is growing stronger and more demanding.
How long before this kind of thing happens in some enclaves now being formed in the US, in Michigan, New Jersey, and northern Virginia? It won't matter that most Muslim immigrants to the US tend to have average or better-than-average incomes. One incident will spark riots that spread across their enclaves.

We still have weapons, and i suspect US milita cells will begin assembling.Or at least some "lone wolf" vigilante's shall decend upon these areas.
What is not known is the official response by National gaurd and the like. prolly the militas will be dealt with harshly and the enclaves protected.

1) Make the Confrontation Campaign clinical, and very public. Use TV and radio ads that quote egregious Koranic scripture or Hadith Sunnah, have the narrator declare this to be incompatibe & inimicable to the U.S. Constitution, and then a brief appeal to Moslems to denounce Islam.
2) Implement remedial curricula in public schools. Turnabout is fair play.
3) Revoke tax exempt status from all Mosques and Moslem organizations.
Imagine a suppurating syphilis sore that has merged with a suppurating AIDS lesion. Pour large amounts of antibiotics onto the suppurating sore-lesion, and with a little luck Islam Realpolitik will have been contained.
Watch out for the resultant emanating cloud of Moslem flesh-steam, though. A high-grade surgical mask is a must when operating this procedure.

Haven't we dispered our welfare-mooch American Moslems? Where I live there's one neighborhood and then the rest are spread out among wealthy suburbs where they watch Dish TV all day long, taking only the monthly bus ride into downtown to re-up on their socialist stipend.

Good to see that you are still alive and kicking. The Politics of Confrontation is an interesting option. You mentioned:

I do believe this could be the key to our success in the battle of Islamofacism. We must confront this threat man to man, one on one. Only when the civilized world is willing to accept this option will the battle swing to our favor.
Muslims must be told in the only language they understand that we will not submit. I'm fairly sure that they unconsciously recognize there is something dreadfully wrong with their religion. Only by putting this verity in their face, in a confrontational manner, can we hope they awaken and face up to reality. It will be like Linda Blair kissing a crucifix. It ain't gonna be pretty. But this is the humanitarian way of dealing with the problem.
Last year when I was still living in New Zealand, I had the pleasure of experiencing this first hand. A Fijian, who happened to be a free spirited hard drinking friend of mine made the mistake of letting his allegiance to Allah get the better of him.
We were sitting at a bar in Onehunga one nite when another guy next to us brought up the topic of religion. He made the innocuous comment that all religions suck, Christianity, Islam etc. Well, King (believe it or not) didn’t like the aspect of his religion being knocked, so it was all on.
One minute he was having a friendly beer with his mates and the next minute he was going to kill every one that got in the way of him trying to kill this unlucky guy who unwittingly slandered Allah. Only when a pint of beer was smashed across his face did the devil leave him.
I wouldn't say he was a devout Muslim, in fact you wouldn't have known he was Muslim at all unless he had told you. But someone had instilled into his being, that you can't say bad things about Allah. And off he went like a firecracker. This is the bad programming that has to be deleted in Muslim society for us to ever get along together.
We, as a civilization must bring these deep dwelling emotions of superiority in the Muslim mind out into the open. Confronting them in their misguided delusions will hopefully wake them up. I don't know if King ever woke up, but I do know the six inch scar on his face will forever remind him of his foolish exploits in defending Allah's honor. Incidentally, I never spoke to him again after his little Allahgasm.
This is the way the everyday man in the west can defend his home, community, and country. Give these misguided individuals no respect, no friendship, and no sanctuary if they insist on being "believers". They simply cannot be allowed to carry on in their fantasy world and ultimately bring our society to ruin.
Paris burns today and it's only because the dhimmis can't bring themselves to face the fact that Muslims don't quit fit into their society. Tough love should be on the menu but France is presently unwilling to serve the required dish.
That dish being a plate of confrontation. Unless this happens, not only will their newest citizens be forever lost on the fringe of society, their society will ultimately collapse. Confrontation is the only way of preventing the advent of “Eurabia”.
As far as confronting the Islamic fanatics in your country of Indonesia, I'm not so sure this strategy would work. Too many fundamentalists and too few infidels. I don't know, you being on the ground there, what is your opinion? Are there enough levelheaded people to overturn the fundamentalist tide currently sweeping your country?
Paolo, I'm not so sure that civilization was saved by the French in 1914. A post mortem was conducted on WWI, by the likes of A.J.P. Taylor and others, documents and communications were dug through and it seems that it was Clemenceau and Russian Archduke Alexander who actually cooked up the war and really started it. In other words Germany didn't start the war.. in the Words of Frederick the Great: The Aggressor is he who causes the other to first attack.

AJP Taylor was the voice of the Sixties in history. On some things I accept his views, on others - such as WWI - he is wildly wrong. As for Clemenceau starting WWI, this is nonsense on stilts. Clemenceau had hardly any position by the start of the war, and in so far as he had it, it was as an anti-militarist - the man who defended and vindicated Dreyfus, and whom every French officer hated.
If we take starting the war to be a crime, the facts show quite clearly that the guilty parties were, in the following order, Austria, Russia, and Germany. Austria clearly showed that they wanted war, no matter what; Russia threw itself in recklessly, having clearly learned nothing from its disastrous defeat in China nine years earlier; and Germany could have restrained Austria, but did not, indeed they backed it to the hilt, apparently glad of an opportunity to start some real trouble.
At any rate, my point is this: France stayed in the war longest, contributed the most, and lost the largest number of dead per head of population. America - least, least, and least. Victory is indivisible, and Italy and Britain - not to mention wretched Russia - made fundamental contributions to it, but without France and without Clemenceau and Foch, it would not have happened. That was the universal perception at the time, and nothing that happened since has done anything to disprove it.
Oh, and Nariz? Everything wrong in the treaty of Versailles and surrounding matters was the work of one man, namely Woodrow Wilson. I just did an advanced google search of "jihadwatch politics of confrontation" which resulted in 20 pieces.
In fairness to Charles Martel, no one is expected to know all the background of each writer here, and to select a piece at hand as typical of a poster's writing is obvious; but, to look a little more closely might pay off at times. That's not always true, of course, and sometimes I'm simply exposed naked to the world as a rightwing religious bigot. Damn. And I tried so hard to keep it hidden.
Charles does raise an issue that requires some thinking, and that is of vigilante injustice, the madness of the enraged mob. No one here is likely to do such stupid things as commit illegal acts, though many might pound the table in frustration at times. And of those who seem to be on the edge of violence one should know that they come secretly to others asking them to do the actual work, not being violent in themselves and hoping others are. It's not the frustrated writers or even the violent who scare me, it's the minds behind them. Those are the ones to look for.
I was pressed for time, so there are only some brief hints on the red letters below for those who care to follow up in detail on the politics of confrontation.
