Fire and Fury on the Euro-Arab Street

The Nation takes stock. Good. If left and right can unite against the external threat, we will have all the time we want to discuss amongst ourselves tax rates, spending, and the scope of government regulation.

"This is the beginning of the war!" a French Muslim boy called out in the middle of the recent riots in Le Blanc Mesnil, just north of Paris.

But is it? Or was the war really going on already?

Few Americans have heard of him, but in Europe, more and more are becoming familiar with the name--and the ideas--of Dyab Abou Jahjah, founder of the now-international Arab European League (AEL) and the Muslim Democratic Party. Handsome, charismatic, well-educated and multilingual, he has the perfect makings of a political leader, or perhaps better said, a man poised to lead a revolution. And he knows it.

More to the point: As the fury of Muslim youth explodes across the landscape of Western Europe, it's time that others know it, too.

The AEL, founded in Belgium in 2000--in other words, before September 2001--now has branches in the Netherlands and France, and intends to spread across the EU, with plans to participate in future European Parliamentary elections as the Muslim Democratic Party. With battle cries like "Whatever Means Necessary" and frequent condemnations of America, Jahjah--who called the 9/11 attacks "sweet revenge"-- recruits Muslim youth to spread his ideology, a vague series of ideas that occasionally appear moderate but, when added together, call for violent resistance, the destruction of Israel and the introduction of Sharia (Islamic) law in Europe.

Most recently, Jahjah issued a public statement supporting Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's declaration calling for Israel to be wiped off the map. "The foundation of Najad's reasoning is intellectually defendable," he writes in English (the statement in its entirety can be found here), "and despite the fact that his regime is no perfect example of political morality, I argue that his position on this matter is the only possible moral one." (Ironically, the man slain filmmaker Theo van Gogh once called "a pimp for Allah" continues his rant with mention of a "mythical racial-religious holy promise by some god in some religious book"--by which, of course, he means the Old Testament. Despite such statements, Jahjah repeatedly insists he has "nothing against the Jews.")

I've thought a lot about Jahjah in the past few days: Jahjah who never condemned the killing of van Gogh by a Dutch Muslim fundamentalist; Jahjah who finds the destruction of Israel "the only possible moral" option; Jahjah who has on several occasions incited riots on the streets of Antwerp and now defends the ongoing rioting of Muslim youth outside of Paris. I've thought of Jahjah as Muslim youths riot, too, in Arhus, Denmark, presumably in protest against the publication in a national newspaper of a cartoon drawing of Mohammed.

As they say, read it all.

And his comment last year when a muslim boy burned a girl to death? .....Nothing.....

The two boys who burned themselves accidently caused riots accross the country, but murder by a muslim ....nothing. It's all about the "other" always and forever.

I suspect that in America, were there to be any kind of Muslim discontent that included anything other than words, a backlash beyond anything the Muslim community could imagine would descend on them.

Most everyone I talk to is well aware of the rising danger from Islam. Getting women to know what Islamic law holds for them extinguishes any hope Muslims have in America.

I expect that within five years, Americans will begin mass deportation of all non-citizen Muslims.

Abou Jahjah is SO yesterday's news. He gained a little limelight among muslims in Holland a few years back, but no one takes the guy seriously anymore.

From the article:

"And so we start to see them as a mass: We look at the rioters in Paris and become afraid of Muslims. Not just these Muslims but all the Muslims in the Paris environs, and by extension, all the Muslims in French-speaking Belgium and all the Muslims in the north and all the Muslims in the Netherlands and so on. And we go back again to "us" and "them"--"the Muslims," as if they were all one entity, and the rest of us."

And then:

"Individual by individual, they become a group: They find the identity, the unity, the belonging that they crave, within that group. They become an "us," and the rest of us, of course, are "them."

And herein lies the utter bankruptcy of the dimwitted weltanschauung of this stupidly credulous fruitcake. She tries to make the case that all of us are guilty of pigeonholing and mass bigotry, but she's so blind to the truth that she cannot see that, in her own words, she has put the blame where it belongs: on the xenophobic bigotry innate in this inferior Islamic culture.

But no, she can't say that outright, but must temper it by preemptively condemning us all:

"...And we go back again to "us" and "them"..."

No, I don't agree that this is a hopeful sign. This American Jew, by her own admission, is afraid to walk the streets of her own neighborhood (where she says she has many friends) as a Jew, but can't resist the impulse to deny her own human rights in favor of her wrong-headed sympathy for the people who enable the murderers of her (and my) co-religionists:

"...I have friends in my neighborhood--good people, kind people, women with headscarves and without them, men in Western dress or djellabas. They, too, are the victims of the Mohammad Attas, the Ahadi Nahjads, the Abou Jahjahs of the world. In some ways, they suffer most of all."

No, they don't. The people whose murders and oppression they support (whether tacitly, implicitly or openly) suffer the most, and she should be ashamed for suggesting otherwise.

This is good. This is a good sign.

There is no reason why one cannot deplore those terrible corporate interests, wish for a redistribution of wealth, and so on (I'm just guessing as to what Victor Navasky, or is high-cheek-boned Katerina Vanden Heuvel now ruling the roost? may stand for), and still realize, come to realize, that Islam is itself, in its essence, equivalent to "islamofascism." That made-up word "islamofascism" - the kind of thing Christopher Hitchens, qui fait son petit Orwell, likes to use, has become a kind of comfortable blankie or nounours for all those who balk at the last mental jump, and blanch at the thought, of forthrightly using the term "Islam."

But "Islam" and not "islamofascism" it is. The suppression of women, the institution of the dhimmi that offers only a status of permanent humiliation, degradation, and physical insecurity, the limits on artistic expression (essentially, to calligraphy, often Qur'anic, and to mosque architecture -- and everything else, from Bellini's portraits of Suleiman the Magnificent, to Mughal miniatures, has been despite Islam, not because of it), on free and skeptical inquiry without which the enterprise of science is impossible, on mental freedom that is traded in for the totalitarian Complete Regulation of Daily Life, and the Total Explanation of the Universe. Islam itself teaches Submission -- not only submission of Believers to Allah, and to whatever Allah has prescribed (for "Allah knows best"), as revealed to Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, through those 23 years of Gabriel's heavenly if intermittent dictation, but submission of Infidels to Believers, of all non-Muslims to Muslims. Islam stunts mental growth.

It should not be any cause for Infidel complacency that some Muslims do not exhibit their own full acceptance of every part of Islam. As Ibn Warraq has noted, "there are moderate Muslims, but Islam itself is not moderate." The Muslim who is unobservant, or who even ridicules or ignores much of Islam, but nonetheless continues to call himself a Muslim, will merely by calling himself a Muslim leave open the possibility that someday his "moderation" can be transformed into "immoderation" (it happened to Mike Hawash, to Azahari, to many others). By continuing to calling himself a "Muslim" and then possibly adding "but in the cultural sense only" he still leaves open that possibiilty, and not only for himself, but for his progeny -- for if one does not make a complete break, in the manner of Anwar Shaikh or Ibn Warraq or Ali Sina or Azam Kamguian or as hundreds of thousands of Iranians in exile have done, then one's children or grandchildren (kids do the darndest things! as Art Linkletter once noted) may cease to be as wise as their parents or grandparents, and re-embrace Islam --- that possibility will exist even among the descendants of those many "Muslim-for-identification-purposes-only" Muslims. And the very swelling of Muslim ranks, whereby those unobservant Muslims are "counted" as Muslims, only helps the official Muslim organizations, and scares Western head-counting politicians, into attempting to appease and placate official Muslim demands based on numbers that may not accurately reflect ideological reality.

"The Nation" is not my cup of tea. As a kid (circa age 12-15) I used to be a fan of Max Ascoli's "The Progressive" and even "The New Leader." You know the type. But I was 12, I was 13, I was 14. In elementary school I even attended a fair where Pete Seeger sang. But those days are over. The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was signed long ago. The nature of Islam is clear. Well, no it isn't -- to some, even to many -- but it should be. It's not difficult to draw conclusions from the canonical texts of Islam, and from the rhetoric, the attitudes, the behavior, of Muslims everywhere, from the Sudan to Indonesia, from Kashmir to Israel, from Paris to Amsterdam to Brussels to London to Madrid to New York to Washington.

It is good to see a glimmer, even at "The Nation." No -- especially at "The Nation."

Now Chirac is urging these "youths" or as was said in the movie My Cousin Vinny, "Yutes"....to apply for civil jobs in France.

What a pudd....How about they surrender for their crimes and turn themselves in to serve prison time? Wouldn't that be more appropriate?

Jackass Jacques.....

Oh, I have just glanced at the thread, and discovered from a detailed posting by "The Dread Pirate Gryphon" that the article was not as I took it to be, judging by the introductory remarks above. I should have read it before so confidently welcoming a change in "The Nation." Okay, I curb my enthusiasm. I take back the praise, or hint of it. Sorry -- how could I be so innocent and so trusting?

Maybe the folks at The Nation will finally get it: Islam is as Islam does.

Glad to be of service, Hugh.

Folks, I know this is way OT, but did anyone hear about the Information Systems Summit in Tunis? Originally set up to find ways to provide internet service to developing countries, the UN is being accused of hijacking the summit and now want to wrest control of the internet from the US.

That's the gist but that could be major!

The Nation will never be able to deal with the subject of Islam without conjuring up the spectre of Western racism. You know, for "balance". As long as the establishment Left and establishment Right keep insisting on the legitimacy of a "moderate" interpretation of the Koran and Sunnah rather than identifying it as what it really is, a lack of observance of full-Islam, then we will be seeing the same sort of thing for years to come. This article does have its merits though, and it is infinitely better than most of what is published and broadcast by the BBC, but considering how the beur riots are still raging in France, it's simply not good enough.

I always knew Hugh would betray his innocent trusting side one of these days ...

Here's today's al Guardian's marxist assessment from one of their communists, er columnists (sneer quotes are mine) :

"Riots are a class act - and often they're the only alternative"
by Gary Younge

France now accepts the need for 'social justice.' No petition, peaceful march or letter to an MP could have 'achieved' this...

and it goes downhill from there...

This is STILL the pink tinged prism through which these Islamic fascist abettors see this French insurrection and the global Islamic Jihad -- No thoughtful analysis, but rather stale Marxist asservations: It's all the failure of heartless Western policies or Western "Imperialism" which foments the rageful fascist Muslims (who, they inveigle, are only the long suffering underclass of earnest workers looking for a fair shake................... Sorry -- I just had to take a barf break............

The only change I see among Western Leftists is a ratcheting up of their anti-Western hyperbole, which seems to grow with each new Muslim atrocity and with each Western countermeasure... Perhaps the next degradation we suffer will occur when leftists begin copying the terror tactics of their Muslim friends... It will prove to be a grave and further threat to Western survival if these vermin cave into their own leftist fascism... Aside from the increased stresses from damage and alienation, they will muddy the waters further, and provide Muslims with additional smokescreens to hide behind... Can't you hear it now? -- "All societies have their extremists - this has NOTHING to do with Islam...

Mr. Younge says it best in his fantasist screed -- "Riots are a 'class' act - and often they're the only alternative" -- Now isn't that a nice warrant for mayhem...? It's all there with both barrels -- stupefying smugness, and malicious mendacity...

Here's the link if you need a purgative -- It's good to keep a watchful eye on the fifth column collaborators in our midst --

Something related:

http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/5983_1547002,00430005.htm

An incident where an Indian was killed "by a gang of illegal immigrants who taunted him for associating with " white bastards" ".

He probably resisted their efforts in involving him in the street riots and other destructive stuff. These people want everything handed to them on a platter, dont live positively and constructively themselves and dont allow others to live in a decent way either. The headline of the article says' Racist attack', how can this be called racist ? The article very cleverly does not mention the religion/country of the gang of illegal immigrants.

I am sure people who KNOW are drawing parallels to what must be happening in France these days, the who/why/how/when/where of the people who do riots & stuff.

The link to THE NATION in the above story does not work. Could folks have a look at it?

Thanks.

a10billr -

We need to outlaw islam, destroy the mosques, and deport anyone foolish enough to become a muslim - citizen or not. islam Is an ideology - not a religion.

I got the above essay from another source, and I didn't read is as a dhimmi fluff piece at all but as shoing examples of the assaults on free speech we all face by not confronting the Left fascist dhimmis in our midsts.

Now I have to rethink it all. If others have a moment to look at my take I'd appreciate some input.

http://nodhimmitude.blogspot.com/2005/11/speechless-at-mill-with-slaves.html

jsla - The Guardian is a load of cobblers. Recent offerings include this twaddle about the joys of polygamy, and this piffle about how Qaradawi, Ken Livingstone's pal who advocates wife beating and death to gays, is just 'misunderstood'. Julie Burchill left because it is anti-Semitic. Polly Toynbee is OK, but she was voted 'Islamophobe of the Year'.

I wouldn't wrap my chips in it.

If you think about it, the American Moslem has no real leader, as such.

There's Ibrahim Hooper, whose dour face scowls reproach from beneath that doily lid of his. He's no leader; his job is to enforce self-censorship and work a full-court press based on misplaced infidel guilt. He's no leader.

Then there's Minister Louis Farrakhan, Grand Potentate of the Nation of Islam. But this clown can't even bear to call himself Imam or Mufti or the like. Louie's job is to peddle fake history and to just generally whine, not lead.

And how about that Malik Zulu Shabazz, Leader of the New Black Panther Party? His job is to entertain us all with a brand of black comedy mixed with circus puppet. Always demanding reparations money, he's too busy too lead and if history's any guide won't be around long anyway (Fred Hampton).

So who's gonna be Islamo-America's first charismatic leader? Can't be the war coward Muhammed Ali, he's brain dead.

The dubiously named Christianne Ammanpour, maybe?

On the other hand, here's a para from Abigail Esman's website:

"Award-winning writer Abigail R. Esman worked with Dutch politician Ayaan Hirsi Ali on the project "Submission," a film about the abuse of Muslim women which resulted in the brutal murder of its producer, Theo van Gogh, by an Islamic militant group in the Netherlands - and a note promising that Hirsi Ali would be next. An expert on the rise of Islamic jihad in the West and on domestic violence (she is herself a survivor), Esman argues that terrorism begins in the home: to defend ourselves, we in the West must force a change within the Muslim family culture. From suicide bombings to ritual beheadings and airplanes made into missiles, the toxic combination of religious orthodoxy and family violence has made victims of men, women and children as much in Muslim homes as in our own."

So maybe she's not completely clueless.

ANNE: "If left and right can unite against the external threat, we will have all the time we want to discuss amongst ourselves tax rates, spending, and the scope of government regulation."

COTNELIUS: There will have to be one hell of a metamorphesis in the thinking on the Left for that to ever be possible.

Dread Pirate Gryphon,

I wouldn't let down your guard just yet:

"the toxic combination of religious orthodoxy and family violence has made victims of men, women and children as much in Muslim homes as in our own."

You see what she's doing? That old equivalence game -- religious orthodoxy (or "fundamentalism") in general is the problem, and Islam only one symptom.

No, this Nation piece shows, once again, that it is a Leftist problem. The obtuse resistance to that fact among so many here at jihadwatch is as annoying as the obtuse resistance at large to the fact that Islam is a problem.

The eagle needs two wings to fly. If the left wing joins in, the end of the modern terrorist (or at least the tolerance of terror) will come to a close much quicker. Islam itself may be forced to reform or at least give up on the caliphat. I have often though that the left is too far gone to accept the threat of jihad, and I still think the MSM is too timid is this regard. But the persistence and widespead abuses of islamic jihad may be closer to tipping the scales than I thought. It's about damn time.

Chaz...Islam in some aspects appears leaderless, yet there is organisation and order to their behaviors. Who would emerge as leader of American muslims or all muslims is up for grabs. But behind this apparent vacant leadership looms the spector of Al-Mahdi. Anyone accepted by Islam as AL-Mahdi will get instant allegiance and obediance from every muslim. Supposedly in occultation, invisibility, not quite manifest yet, he will emerge and lead Islam to victory over the world. His appearance will be marked by 'clear signs', whatever that is.
There has been some speculation that Maitraia, sometimes called 'Lord Maitraia', may fill that nitch, but I doubt it. In the future, there may be some friction between Maitraia and Mahdi, if Maitraia is not Mahdi. Both of them are here to establish some kind of empire that may not mix.
In actuality, I think both of them are comic book characters and neither one will show up...but it's fun speculating...

Dr. Pepper:

You're right. I really misread that at first.

Hugh's trusting innocence must be catching...

It is not "Dread Pirate Gryphon" who let down his (or her) guard, but I. It was my initial, ignorant, child-like enthusiasm under discussion. DPG's reading of the piece showed no letting down of the guard. And he (she) showed me that I had been premature and silly in that enthusiasm, leading to my own Changing (i.e., Raising) of that same Guard.

Well, Hugh, as you can see, you're not the only one subject to premature silliness.

And I be a boy pirate, arrrrrr. And by the way, my friends just call me The.

My take on this piece is that Muslims are as much victims of Islam as anyone else, and particularly Muslim females. I call it whimmitude. The question of one of priorities: Do I care?

Well yes, I do. However, I'm more concerned about those who do not play this Muslim fascist game, Muslims or Left dhimmi fascsit collaborators. When I set my priorities, I put non-Muslim victims of Islam at the top of my list of people who need assistence in protecting themselves from Islam. That doesn't mean I toss out all Muslims as the enemy. If Muslim women can turn to the sense and decency of Hirsi Ali, becoming anything other than slaves of Islam, I'm all for it. If we drive wedges between Muslim men and women, all the better. If Muslim men are victimized by Islam, I'm not overly concerned. In fact, I won't waste my time on them. But Muslim women are a prime group of dissaffected constituents in the Islamic world, and in some daydream world of mine, the force that will rip Islam from the inside out.

Attack the men, support the women. Destroy the "honor" killers and that will increase support for Humanity within the Islamic community, if only among females. It's not my highest priority, but it is something I keep in mind as reasonable.

Whimmitude is a great word and I'm going to put it in my little box of neologisms.

I'm in two minds about this. Of course it would be good if Muslim women rose up and told their men to get stuffed. On the other hand, empowerment of Muslim women seems so often to make them more demanding about rights such as the 'right' to enter a polygamous marriage, or the 'right' to wear a stupid sack instead of a school uniform. Then of course there is the great glass ceiling to be shattered by means of a female suicide bomber.

'Empowered' Muslim women like Yvonne Ridley or Salma Yaqoob (groupies of George Galloway, curses be upon his moustache) just get on my nerves and I would rather they stayed in the kitchen.

Hirsi Ali is wonderful, but she's no Muslim. Irshad Manji is a feminist and a Muslim, just about, but she is intellectually dishonest. Islam cannot treat women as equals and still be Islam.

An empowered Muslim woman - Leila Khaled with a nuke.

Polly Toynbee is OK, but she was voted 'Islamophobe of the Year'.

Interested:

Being a Canadian, I'm not terribly familiar with Polly and her rep, but I understood her to be a bit of an Israel-basher (and consequently wonder if she is kin to Arnold Toynbee). If you give her a qualified "OK", is it possibly be because she was voted Islamophobe of the Year?

It's cute that this filthy khanzir [hazzer in plain Yiddish] --abu jahjah-- conveniently forgets that the same divine promise of the Land to Israel found in a "mythical racial-religious holy promise" in "some religious book," presumably referring to the Bible, is also found in the Quran. Sura 5:12 tells of the covenant between Allah and the Sons of Israel, and Sura 5:20-22 tells of the promise of the Holy Land to the people of Moses. There are other verses that describe the Jews' land as a "blessed land," and that foresee the return of the Jews to their land [in one place echoing the Book of Zechariah]. How they pretend not to know what's in their own "religious book" when it is inconvenient is both hilarious and repulsive. Now, why don't those skeptical of Islam ask the Muslims why they don't honor Allah's promise of the Holy Land to the Jews? Either the Quran is sacred or it isn't; which is it?

Now, as to the "left." Can anyone reasonably say that today's "left" is not on the whole a body of deluded and manipulated public opinion, with little to do in practice with the poor or the working class or the causes with which the "left" was identified years ago? Can or does anyone claim that the "left" represents the workers, the poor, etc.? After all, a lot of the so-called "leftist" bodies are well funded. Where does the funding come from? Aren't there some wealthy folks investing in the Nation or the Ford Foundation or Jiminy Cricket's Carter Center in Atlanta? Did I hear the name vanden Heuvel connected with the Nation? And what about Hamilton Fish IV, one of the previous owners of the Nation? But getting back to the point, most of the "left" today is a menace to civilization, in that it acts --seemingly wittingly-- as a facilitator for Islamic jihad. Maybe you can win individuals over to reason, to the understanding that jihad threatens civilization in its entirety. But the manipulators cannot be won over. And it wastes energy to try.

There some wonderful neologisms, some of which I lay claim to, others not. Some wag beat me to "Allahdammerung." I got in with "Islamaise." Bat Ye'or gave us "Dhimmitude," and from that I came up with "Whimmitude." A great one I found recently is "Paristine." I countered deftly with "Franco-stein's Monster." But the best one I've met yet came from a reader here over a year ago: "Poligion," a word I use daily to decribe Islam as a political religion.

On the topic of Islam and women, there is a very creepy move afoot to create a fascist Islamic version of feminism for the idiots in the West to hold dear to their black little hearts. If we give ground to them, they'll take it, and we'll have lost even more without a struggle. What to do?

"DPG's reading of the piece showed no letting down of the guard."

DPG's initial reading showed no letting down of the guard; his subsequent comment, "So maybe she's not completely clueless" (based on more quotes of the Nation author), did in fact show a slight quiver in the direction of a relenting of the guard -- which DPG himself even acknowledged after my post calling attention to it.

Eagle-eyed vigilance is required for the guard.

I knock myself out daily exposing the conflation of Left and Right into fascism. It takes time to get it through the heads of even the smartest and most open-minded people that the common cliches of the day are just that. Most people believe what most people believe, and until we gain that 15 percent of so who create and move the public's opinions we'll have to battle this wall of stupidity. When it cracks, we'll find there's nary a soul who ever believed in Left dhimmi fascsit cliches.

When will that day come?

There some wonderful neologisms...

I've got loads in my little box. Some of them have been in the family for hundreds of years.

Waterdragon52 - she's Arnold Toynbee's granddaughter. I haven't read anything of hers about Israel, but you may well be right.

Dr. Pepper:

"... a slight quiver in the direction of a relenting of the guard..."

Wow, you're so strict!

From Abigail Esman's article linked above:

The son of Moroccan immigrants, Ramsis was forbidden to attend the mosque as a child because, as he told de Trouw, his parents feared he'd be "indoctrinated."

"Whether you go to a traditional Moroccan mosque, with a barely educated imam, or a radical, activist mosque, it makes no difference," they told him. "In the one case they keep you dumb; in the other, they make you aggressive."

This recurring theme, it hits the head of the collective masses, irrespective of political bent or ideology, yet fails to sink in. It is always the devout, the pious, the faithful five-time-a-day prostrater, the studier of the Koran, that commits the crimes against humanity, and not the casual for-identifaction-purposes-only Muslim. In a Muslim's one words quoted in this article, the further a Muslim is away from his religion, the better person he is. His parent's generation recognized that.

Fascism in definition is (from Webster's dictionary) is "A political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition"

In truth the Right has more common elements with fascism than the left.

And that is why the term Islamofascism is so descriptive, it does not distinguish, between one form of Islam and other it is a description of Islam Hugh.

ANNE: "If left and right can unite against the external threat, we will have all the time we want to discuss amongst ourselves tax rates, spending, and the scope of government regulation."

COTNELIUS: There will have to be one hell of a metamorphesis in the thinking on the Left for that to ever be possible.

Your position Cornelius like SoW's is one of belligerent self righteousness (sound familiar? It should because that is how Mohammadans sound).

The New Right, the radicals that have usurped and defiled the good name of conservativism, are every bit as intransigent, vengeful, fearful, self righteous and mean as the Muslims.. the New Right is not at all the Right of my youth.

The voices on the left should be listened to, not shouted down, a course correction is in order, and the right, the new right, has drifted so far off course that it is need fascist.
From the Project for the Old American Century
The 14 common characteristics of fascism

And a word of reason, you all. If you truly want to preserve western culture and stand a fighting chance against our Islamization (remember demographics is everything and fecundity triumphs over righteousness), you guys need to calm down, reach across the aisle and educate and welcome the "left", sadly you are doing exactly the opposite, you are alienating the left and obviously enjoying it.. Don't delude yourself that you can win the war all by yourself, because you were able to capture the last two elections.

Or does the New Right also suffer from a martyrdom complex like those whom they hate and are starting to resemble?

But I urinate into the wind I fear. There is no reasoning with unreason, no communication with self righteousness.. you can see that in the Mohammadans but can't see it in yourself.

That being the case.. then the story has a not too pleasant but sad ending.

Press on, make enemies out of allies, stand alone in the world, go down in glorious flames, and you can only blame yourselves.

Gosh, Nariz! Where can I learn to rite gud like you?

First rule of internet intercourse:

A poster who feels the need to address the collective readership has his head too far up to notice that no one is interested in his (more than likely) bankrupt pronouncements.

"And a word of reason, you all."

Next you'll be using the first person plural just to make sure we all know from what lofty heights your sovreign notice of us descends.

Juan Cole.
Ward Churchill.
Al-Arian.
Michael Moore.
Louis Farakhan.
Al Franken.

The list easily stretches for pages.

Freedom of Speech? No problem.

Build bridges to these people?

Who was the guy wants genocide against all white people again?

He's a Teacher, by the way. Like many of those who want 'a million Mogadishus.'

With friends like those, who needs enemies?
And now I Must be out the door.

A common feature of the Leftist pathology is an inability to appreciate differences in degree: thus, for example, when Islamic terrorism is mentioned, the Leftist will have that characteristic elbow spasm and say "Well, what about the IRA? And what about Timothy McVeigh?" -- as though the geographically localized, non-religiously-fanatic, non-suicidal, and numerically far fewer terrorist bombings by the IRA can even compare with those perpetrated by Muslims. (I won't even stoop to criticize the other idiotic question.)

Another example of this inability to appreciate differences in degree: to cite a paltry handful of Leftists who recognize the danger of Islam (those usual suspects whom Nariz always cites most of whom, however, are either no longer Leftist or have radically diluted their former Leftism and, at any rate, have been scandalously ostracized by their own former Leftist peers) and to act like this paltry list of a few can compare with the people on the Right who greatly outnumber the Leftists.

There's a reason why there are so many people on the Right who see the problem of Islam, compared with so few on the Left: it's not just a mathematical statistical accident. It has to do with the respective sociopolitical cultures of Left and Right. To continue to deny this or be myopic to this at this late stage of the game is insane and will actually impede our mission here.

lazy susan

The Indian was murdered in England, probably Manchester by three Albanians. First, Albanians are more likely to be muslims then Christians. Then there is the fact to consider, that the Albanian went away to return with two more and then proceeded with their murderous attack. This MO clearly fits the behaviour of muslim gangs.

This isn't really a Left/Right issue.

Jason Pappas' excellent blog 'Liberty and Culture' says just about everything that needs to be said about the failure of both the Left and the Right to get to grips with the problem of Islam.

This blog, which I've plugged many times here, is well worth reading.

Jason - if you see this, that will be £5, please.

Ah Nariz returns after I hammered him in another thread a few days ago.

Tired, trite and devoid of any connection with reality.

And that is why the term Islamofascism is so descriptive [sic, deceptive], it does not distinguish, between one form of Islam and other it is a description of Islam Hugh.

I kind of agree. All Islamic readings are facist unless you start expunging huge portions of the Koran and Hadiths. So, the best thing to do is just call it Islam and know it is facist.

The New Right, the radicals that have usurped and defiled the good name of conservativism, are every bit as intransigent, vengeful, fearful, self righteous and mean as the Muslims.. the New Right is not at all the Right of my youth.

Generalities mean nothing. You throw around general terms that can mean anything. You sound like a typical leftist who complains when conservatives do, well, conservative things. Since you failed to equate Christianity and Islam, I gues it is time to try the same thing with conservatives.

The voices on the left should be listened to, not shouted down, a course correction is in order, and the right, the new right, has drifted so far off course that it is need fascist.

If they want to offer something other than the continued failed policies of mass immigration, group entitlements, politically correct whining that prevent reasonable discussion about important issues to our survival, I'll listen. Otherwise, it's the same crud that is preventing even reasonable responses to the threats from Muslims and Islam.

From the Project for the Old American Century
The 14 common characteristics of fascism

More conspiracy theory bilge devoid from reality.

Show me where the left has a plan other than abject surrender, then we'll talk. If you notice around here, most people aren't rah-rah supporters of the Republicans. However, the left isn't even in the ballpark yet.

Or does the New Right also suffer from a martyrdom complex like those whom they hate and are starting to resemble?

Join with people who will sell us down the river to our enemies or stand for my freedom. I'll take the latter.

But I urinate into the wind I fear. There is no reasoning with unreason, no communication with self righteousness.. you can see that in the Mohammadans but can't see it in yourself.

We recognize the enemy. We don't equivocate about who the enemy is or believe that if we just all danced naked around a camp fire this will go away. The only person sounded self righeous here is you.

That being the case.. then the story has a not too pleasant but sad ending.

Press on, make enemies out of allies, stand alone in the world, go down in glorious flames, and you can only blame yourselves.

Again, we welcome those on the left who recognize the enemy. Most on the left though think the enemy is the West or Christians and that if we just treat the Muslims nicer this will all be better. France tried that and it's cities are starting to boil over. Give us the great leftist plan to solve this.

I met two nice, smiling, friendly Muslim women today. I don't lump all Muslims into the same category any more than I lump all white people into the same category.

But how can anyone see a Muslim and not immediately think of the violence going on all over the world in the name of Islam? I can't.

Rather than worrying about critics of Islam, which shows consciousness of guilt, Islam needs to clean its own house.

"I suspect that in America, were there to be any kind of Muslim discontent that included anything other than words, a backlash beyond anything the Muslim community could imagine would descend on them."

Thank allah for the "hate crimes" legislation. There won't be any real "back-lash" -- the cops will see to that!

"Most everyone I talk to is well aware of the rising danger from Islam. Getting women to know what Islamic law holds for them extinguishes any hope Muslims have in America. "

If it wasn't for American support, the muslims wouldn't have gone further than Albania. Besides, the US government can't hire islamic workers fast enough in order to replace their American employees!

"I expect that within five years, Americans will begin mass deportation of all non-citizen Muslims."

In five years, America may jolly well be under islamic rule. There won't be any mass deportations if those currently running the country have their way.

I'm not sure what the leaders in the US are thinking if they are thinking at all. Nevertheless, the policies that they have enacted are suicidal for any country that wishes to remain free.

Hopefully, the elected leaders will wake up to reality before they destroy the country once and for all.

Hello Interested:

Are we talking about the same Polly Toynbee?? I utilize her as a kind of barometer -- the more pissed off she gets at the USA, the more convinced I am that we must be doing something right -- (Al Jazeera serves this purpose too...!) The Polly Toynbee I know, the embracer of 'well if Islamic fundamentalism is bad then Christian fundamentalism is even worse ergo we gotta get rid of ALL religions' equivalencer, the celebrant of the soft power European failure to prevent Iran from getting nukes, the excoriator of America in all things -- the "Oh the filthy violent Yankees and their barbaric primitivism -- the French simply MUST form the center of an anti-American sphere of influence or the world will come to a fiery end under the new American fascist neocon Nazism -- THAT Polly Toynbee ???

I respond in writing to her most egregious fulminations -- and it's always a surprise to receive here extremely agitated and sometimes hate filled replies... I don't tell her much about myself, but she always assumes I'm a Christian Right Wing nut job -- which couldn't be further from the truth... She assumes this apparently simply because I challenge her facts and deconstruct her fatuous arguments. I find her to be a frothing anti-American zealot...

I usually let his posts pass without comment. But after writing an interminable screed accusing the right of "fascism" and claiming every kind of victimization under their brutal iron fists, Nariz uttered this irresistable pearl :

"Or does the New Right also suffer from a martyrdom complex like those whom they hate and are starting to resemble?"

I hope you eventually figure out who your real enemies are, and who your fake enemies are... There's a huge difference between people who disagree with you, even those who mock your position, and people who want to slice your tongue out or chop your head off.... But you seem to be confused, and seem to think they are equally dangerous to you! Interesting.... Could this possibly be the kind of projection typical of the Muslims, who are so adept at projecting their cancers and hatreds onto their enemies in order to devalue them and marshall their own hatred?

Surely when you say "The New Right, the radicals that have usurped and defiled the good name of conservativism, are every bit as intransigent, vengeful, fearful, self righteous and mean as the Muslims.. " -- Surely when you say silly things like this you aren't SERIOUS -- or are you?

Because if you are, I think you have proved the case why many the mistrust the rationality and judgment of many on the Left. BTW -- as I have said here many times before, I am a lifelong dedicated Democrat, pretty moderate -- but I can admit withou guilt or guile that the agenda of the Left and far Left has probably harmed this nation FAR beyond anything I have seen from the Right and far Right... though that is not to say both extremes are ugly and unpleasant...

Under pre 9/11 conditions this is not something that made me worry too much -- but afterwards, the nexus between the goals of the Islamic fascist and the goals of the Leftists and far Leftists is too risky to be tolerated. Both of them envision and wish for our utter destruction -- both of them intend to impose their respective ideologies on those who would not freely choose them... If you really despise the fascism of the Islamic world, then get clear on who your enemy truly is... Buddy, it probably ain't the right wingers living in your neighborhood or posting at this site you have to worry about. I somehow don't think they're the most likely suspects after the dirty bombs go off and smallpox has begun to appear in kindergartens across the country...

Can you really not tell the difference between one and the other?

Abou Jahjah is SO yesterday's news. He gained a little limelight among muslims in Holland a few years back, but no one takes the guy seriously anymore.

OH MY WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PRESS WILL DO I WANT TO KNOW??

I quit reading when I got to the bit about the definition of fascism according to Wesbter's Dictionary. But then I stumble onto the line:

"But I urinate into the wind I fear."

Well, it'd be a good idea that whoever it might be who wrote that line stop fearing the wind and start reading books a lttle less weighty than Webster's dictonaries.

It's strange that anyone would fear the wind, and it's really strange to urinate into it, especially if one fears it. Do I need an explanation or should I go off with the gang here and have dinner. Gee, it's a tough one.

Nariz:

I must remind you the the name Nazi derives from the name National SOCIALIST Party. Hitler was a non Christian socialist. Come to think of it, he has a lot in common with you and your treasonus, cowardly, leftist appeasors.

Now that the cold war is over and communism is totally discredited, the left needs another murderous, tyranical ideology to be an apologist for. Whatever it takes, so long as national security can be undermined.

he methods islamo-stalino one-Fascist of the MRAP

We delivered crude foundry a communiqué of the MRAP condemning a text that it judges « racist », then this text himself. (Indeed our item « Mouloud Aounit does not like them to say the truth on the islam! », File mrap-ldh). To head rested, try to analyze the communiqué of the MRAP then the incriminated text. The communiqué of the MRAP Generally, the agencies as Reuters resume the entirety of the communiqués, quoting here, reformulant there. Therefore the text of Reuters must be near of the original communiqué.

The first sentence does nothing but to put the context.

The second says that the text of Walter was published « on a near site of theses of the national Forehead ». One knows that this is les4verites.com, that publishes well this that it wants. This is not to my knowledge a site of the FN, or near of the FN. The MRAP acts therefore by « combines » sly while saying « near of the theses of the FN ». This is a pure intention process! One must judge the text to the alder of this that it says, not if it is published on such or such site of which « the theses » would be near Rock Paul or Jacques. One sees therefore that the MRAP wants diaboliser the text, but without no argument on the bottom. The MRAP all as much could condemn its own texts, « published on near sites of the theses of the terrorist ones », or the Koran, « published on near sites of the theses of the Islamists », etc.

This is therefore stupid and of bad perfect faith.

Next the MRAP says that « this text of John jacques Walter, under cover to criticize the islam, is only a racist diatribe of an extreme violence against the Moslems ». What this text be racist and violate, this is a peremptory judgement of the MRAP. We will confirm it or the will invalidate while reading the text. But one notices the same method that the one used by the MRAP against the sites that dare to criticize the islam as the ours. The MRAP specifies « under cover to criticize the islam », then it door his judgement. Otherwise says, the fact that this text criticizes the islam is not for the MRAP that a « cover », a hypocrisy. We are therefore there again in the perfect intention process. We could say all as much as under cover to criticize a text, the communiqué of the MRAP is only a hate-filled diatribe of an extreme stench against his author.

The words are besides very emphatiques. This is also another method of the MRAP: the exaggeration, the strong words, that have not nothing of scientist, of measure, of pose, of juridical one, of constatable. The text of Walter is not, for the MRAP, a study, but « a diatribe », pejorative word. The word « racist » also pejorative east. One could object that the islam is not a race, but let us pass. The text is, does it appear, of a « extreme violence ». The word « extreme » returns often in terminology aouniste. This is a qualifying small pompous for some to add a layer, but that does not bring nothing. I have says higher « THIS IS therefore stupid and of bad perfect faith ». I could say: « this is therefore extremely stupid and of a bad extreme faith ». Here! The mrapologie, but this is very simple!

Yes, we will see it, the text describes a violence, the one of the islam, but is not violate in itself. There is therefore a voluntary confusion. The same technique was used against the book of Brigitte Bardot that described the horror of the slaughter animals to. Therefore bombast and voluntary confusion of the author and denounced thing, within reach of does not import écrivaillon, as me for example. I repeat it, I could say « the communiqué of the MRAP is only a hate-filled diatribe of an extreme stench against John jacques Walter ».

This is therefore more mean, freer and more disgusting.

Still in the same sentence, the MRAP has just slipped critic of the islam, that do not according to him that a « cover », to the « racism » (of an extreme violence to do good weight) « against the Moslems ». One rediscovers another method of the MRAP, the claimed « sliding » critic of a religion to the racism against its followers or its supposed followers. This is the cœur of the method aouniste. As the MRAP cannot play openly the Inquisitive Big ones to the service of the islam, it transforms all critic of this « religion » in « racism », by sentences that, as we saw it, are only intention processes.

The « sliding » islamophobie (criticizes islam) to the « racism ************ » that reproaches the MRAP to its victims, this some did himself that the operates. This is the « paw » of Mouloud Aounit in the inquisitive coalition anti-anti-islamophobe (Aounit-Geisser-Ramadan-UOIF-Chiraquie). « Yes, one can criticize the islam and its extremist ones. But you, Mister X'S or Madam THERE, under the pretence of to criticize the islam, you are racist, violate, etc. Not at all. ». This leitmotiv returns in ALL the « communicated » MRAP against the islamophobes.

But the goal is well to censor the critic of the islam, and not supposed racism of which it will not bring, we will see it, any proof. The MRAP had proceeded from even in his signed report Gérard Kerforn on the « racism on Internet ». The report specified well in preamble that the critic of all religion does not have to be questioned, but it quietly listed in his report many sites « islamophobes » that do nothing but to criticize the islam, without besides screwed-up being to quote the least sentence « racist » of these sites.

The MRAP confirms therefore his vocation: to be the police of the thought to the service of the Islamic ideology.

In the following sentence, the MRAP quotes a (and an only one) passage of the incriminated text, that it « retrieves from a site Internet ». One notices while passing that the site in question is not named, this that allowed for him earlier to launch his free accusation of « near of theses of the national Forehead » (as if it was an offence, besides…) The MRAP removes thus to the reader of the communiqué the means to verify its say. Just as in the report Kerforn, where many names of sites were poorly orthographiés, indeed erroneous. (In parentheses, the MRAP forgets carefully to signal that this text, before appearing on the site in question, had been sent, in a version longer to all the representatives… The publication site is not therefore well than a pretext!)

It is disnonest. I will say even: this is an extreme dishonesty one.

Therefore the MRAP supposedly has found a text « racist of an extreme violence against the Moslems ». This is him that the says. This text is long strong, as our readers were able to note it. In this case, the MRAP would have big ease to quote us many passages more perfectly more racist, more despicable and more reprehensible. Now it does not quote in all and for all that a single sentence: « THIS IS the ordinary islam that is violate and liberticide, and not a supposed deformation by extremist ». This sentence went out of his context, while the author deducts it of this that it says précédemment by a reasoning. One sees there another method of the MRAP: the generalization to doubles level: to go out a sentence of his context and to give to understand that the whole text east of the same kind.

This is again and always intention process (extreme) and of l' (extreme) dishonesty intellectual.

Examine now this sentence: « THIS IS the ordinary islam that is violate and liberticide, and not a supposed deformation by extremist ». The author reproaches the violence and the liberticide to that or to what? To the ordinary islam and him only. This is therefore a critic of the islam and not Moslems. Consequently, the ONLY sentence that the MRAP finds as example « racist » in a long text that it qualifies do not to be « that » racist… does not contain no « racism »! The had MRAP there again that this that the gene this is not that one be, but beautiful and well that one criticizes his cherished religion.

The MRAP re-confirme therefore his vocation: to be the police of the thought to the service of l' (extreme?) Islamic ideology.

Next, one explains us qu'« consequently », the MRAP will request certain things to the ministry of the equipment. One notices therefore that the MRAP left premises more erroneous, more disnonest and more misleading, to draw from it of the « consequences ». The demonstration is hedged.

This is there again of the dishonesty intellectual one to the pure state. I will say even: to the extreme state.

And what that requests the MRAP to the ministry? First of all of « to recognize the error to have used this text ». There is therefore a « error ». One does not know not yet which one, but the MRAP returned his judgement: it is necessary to correct the error, evidently while withdrawing the incriminated text. Not question that of the texts criticizing the islam can circulate with candidates to an any test. The had MRAP a time of more his role of auditor to the service of the islam. The autodafé of the irreligious texts, here his claim. As the nazis or as the crazy ones of allah, the MRAP wants to do to disappear the manuscripts « haram ».

The second claim of the MRAP, always from its lies and of its intention processes, is that the ministry « orders an investigation to identify the authors of this test ». Not only it is necessary to do to disappear the texts that dare to criticize the islam, but it is necessary to designate the guilty ones. The MRAP becomes the policeman of the good Islamic thought. It is necessary to show finger deviating them, those that blasphemed or rather broadcasted a blasphemous text at the heart of a public administration. Evidemment, the MRAP does not request any sanction. But while designating the targets, it delivers them to the crazy ones of allah.

The MRAP drives itself therefore in terrorist true, not only thought, but very concretely: to exercise a pressure on all those that would want to criticize the islam. The MRAP does not exercise that a potential fascism: it wants « guilty ».

We are squarely « Moscow processes ».

The incriminated text Examine now quickly the text « The Islamic sail and France » of John jacques Walter.

In introduction, the author explains us that the islam is « is at once a religion and a political ideology », and that the Islamic sail is part of this project politics of incompatible with « with the traditions, the culture, the Constitution and the laws of France ».

The continuation of the text is only a brilliant demonstration of these theses, leaned on the jurisprudence and the Moslem texts. The author approaches several subjects, as the repeal, the taquia, the women, the dissidents, the violence in the islam. In every party, the author makes use of numerous Moslem, in particular drawn references in the Koran. It there has not strictly nothing to repeat to all that, so much more than the demonstrations are convincing.

I looked for, in vain, of the comments « racist » in this text that is not for the MRAP « that a racist diatribe of an extreme violence against the Moslems ». I not some found. The non MRAP more, since we saw than the only sentence than the MRAP had found criticized the islam and not the Moslems. Therefore this text has not really nothing of racist and the MRAP lied, and certainly without the knowledge of his full will.

On the other hand, curious, the MRAP has « forgotten » to raise concepts « racist », discriminatory and « of an extreme violence » in the text of John jacques Walter: this is racism, discrimination, the violence… islam (and consequently of all the Moslems that are of « good » Moslem), against the women, the dissidents and apostates, and the Moslem nos.

It is curious strong that a movement that claims itself « against racism » and « for the friendship between the peoples » did not notice these very passages well argued, and do not as soon as laid a communiqué for « to request » to the ministries of the interior or Culture to do to burn some places public all the copies of this work more hate-filled, more sectarian, sexister and violate that is… the Koran. And in the crowd, the MRAP could have requested « to order an investigation to identify » the people that broadcast or that advocate of such horrors in our country.

Does anyone happen to know if there are any western nations with the good sense to begin the difficult process of purging the muslims from their midsts? I mean bold steps -like mass deportation, federal prosecution for volatile imams, etc.. Are jihad watch people doing anything more than posting and reading good books. Are there any serious lobbying efforts underway in the House or Senate? Are any jihad watch reps actively contributing to campaigns to make our wishes known. Are JW brothers and sisters organizing and preparing to take our fight (legally and respectfully) to our elected representatives?
Ok guys, so we all know that there is a CIVILAZATION-THREATENING MUSLIM PROBLEM!!!

WHY islamic terrorist will not win they break Gods laws

You shall not covet your nieghbor’s house: you shall not covet your nieghbor’s wife, or his male or female slave, or his ox or his ass, or anything that is your nieghbor’s.

you see the islamic terrorist do this if they follow their teaching, they are not happy with their lot in life and will never try to make it better but take other's things they did not work for.

good example is an Earthquake 7.2 in Japan today and no damage reported?

Why is this because they figured out their lot in life and made their life better

where the same has happen in mulsums lands who had been killing other's for their land a 7.2 and 80,000 dead last i heard and winter is moving in and they have no homes and why you ask because they break God's laws

I think 10 is the next to worst one because it will make you break all the others

Templar,

Mitch Romnie, Govenor of Mass., is - like Rep Tancredo - a straight-shooter willing to call a spade a spade. He recently lamented the fact that there were so few federal agents infiltrating Boston's huge Muslim community.

Either one of these Republicans would make a fine President. Because of Tancredo's outspokenness, it's unlikely he could be nominated in 2008. Romnie's chances on the other hand look quite interesting and he has refused to rule out a run for Prez.

Oh yeah, he sees himself as the Messiah awright.

Osama probably envisions Caliph Osama bin Laden in the near future, with his Caliphate extending from Pakistan all the way up through the Caucusus and into Turkey, maybe even into the Balkans.

It will be a network, of course, much like a pyramid network marketing scheme (Ponzi-for-Murder), forced to co-exist for a time with standing nation-state leaders such as Mubarak and Musharif, who will slowly wilt on the UN vine.

There will be much acrimony and bloodshed with the Shiites.

But the grand prize will be Eurabia (aka the EU). If he can begin establishing Dar al Islam enclaves inside the various Eurabian states (Sweden, France, Hollnad, Germany, Austria, et al), that would make possible sustained low- and medium-intensity Jihad all the way into Ireland.
