When mentioning Ramadhan, most attention is focused on Muslims of the Middle East or Southeast Asia. What is forgotten is how the millions of Muslims in the western world spend this holy month of Ramadhan. Here, we will put the light on Britain and the beauty of Islam during this precious month.The major Muslim migration to Britain began from the mid-nineteenth century. Yemeni’s were the first group of migrants who arrived in the ports of Cardiff, Liverpool, and London. At the beginning of the migration a language barrier existed and was a serious issue that Yemeni’s faced. Therefore many misunderstandings between Yemeni and British citizens existed. Nowadays Muslims from over 75 countries live in Britain, most of which are from the sub-continent of India and Pakistan. Many places in Britain are also loaded with the presence of Muslims from Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and many other countries. The Muslim population is estimated to reach over 5 million in the present day. Cities with the biggest Muslim population are London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester, and Bradford.
The fast growth of Muslims in Britain has created a greater chance for British people to learn more about Islam. In the early days of migration, Muslims had to call foreign Imams (Muslim scholars) to run local mosques, and teach their children basic Islamic education. These days native Muslims are replacing many foreign Imams for this post.
People from all age groups flock local mosques to learn more about Islam. Special classes for Quranic recitation are available in almost every mosque. Lessons in Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) are also given during the afternoon period of the day. For those who want to learn more about Arabic, classes are also available. Many mosques open their doors to Non-Muslims who would like to learn more about the beauty of Islam from within, and the love and brotherhood it calls for. Many British citizens embrace Islam during this great month of Ramadhan, for they see the reality of Islam and what it teaches. An estimated 16% of Muslims in Britain are English (native Britain’s).
Most of Britain’s Arabs live around Edgware Road, in the heart of London. This street is filled with Arab culture as many Arab restaurants and cafes are available. Most shops on this street are open 24hrs a day. When walking on this Arab culture rich street of London, you will feel that you are spending Ramadhan in a Middle Eastern country and not in Europe.

The big question is weather Shaw is referring to Nazism in a subtle way, and thus kills two flies with one blow, or he really believes in this prophesy?

Then went on later to say that it is our duty to point out to our politicians and Bishops when they get things wrong.

" While we regret the senseless loss of life of the young idealist, her death has been used and abused as a symbol by anti-Israel protagonists to attack Israel.
Our protest will highlight the Israelis killed in suicide and terrorist attacks that should also be remembered. Thus the protest will focus on the numerous Israeli Rachels killed in suicide attacks in Israel. No one has attempted to elevate their status. Rachel Thaler, aged 16, died of wounds suffered when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a pizzeria. 'My Name Is Rachel Thaler' is not the title of a play likely to be produced anytime soon in London.

I don't know much about it at all. The whole programme of the evening seemed to be based around "Palestine", I didn't find out about the protest until too late, unfortunatly. I doubt that the Hackney Gazette will carry much of a report.

This reminded me of a visit I made - against my will - to the French city of Marseille.
The first thing I noticed when I arrived to the city were the French paratroopers with machine-guns patrolling the train station. When we arrived to a subway station (and this happened in ALL subway stations), we were greeted by the presence of what seemed to be anti-riot police with attack dogs. At this point, one of my friends smilled and mentioned that at least "we would certainly be safe in that city".
When we finally reached the streets, we noticed that there were very few native Frenchmen. We had noticed a similar, but not quite as strong a presence of North Africans in Lyon, but Marseille was truly a shock. Another one of the friends I was travelling with commented that "it looked like we were not in Europe, but in Morocco". He said this as if that would be a good thing. My only reply to such idiocy was opening my swiss army knife inside my own pocket, just in case.
So now you know: if you live in Europe and you want to visit North Africa, you won't even have to leave the continent. If you want visit Turkey, go to Brussels. Pakistan? Pay a visit to London. If you want to learn about European culture, go to a museum. The way things are looking, in a not so distant future one may even find a DVD of Rowan Atkinson's superb Blackadder standing right next to a Roman bust or an ancient Greek vase. Gone forever.

The 7th of July really made me feel I was spending time in Middle Eastern country and not in Europe. A harbinger of what to expect in the future...
Multicultarilism, open borders a necessary component to free trade capitalism...means cheap labor, and access to foreign markets and of course black crack, the stuff without which the west would die, well not really, the Arabs have to sell their oil, but the oil company corporatists who have these sweetheart deals with the Arabs (not to mention the armaments industry, airline industry, travel industry, chemical industry, heavy machinery industry.. well you get the picture, or do you) that's the real reason behind multiculturalism and ass kissing of the Muslims.
Prince Charlie is no air headed, PC, liberal he is looking out after, so he thinks, the best interests of his family and himself.

I was listening to an item on CBC radio the other day about the "purpose" behind the open boarder, at least the US's southern one: to provide cheap labour for the agricultural industry at peak demand times, but the ploy isn't working these days because of the building boom. California olive crops are rotting on the trees because ag workers aren't paid nearly as much as construction labourers (Cdn spelling). By contrast, the Canadian government managed to address a similar need in Canada by helping agricultural employers bring in workers from the various Carribean islands on special permits and even paying for their flights to and from to ensure they went home.
The British need to be reminded of something: the Muslims invaded the Balkan Peninsula over 800 years ago, possibly under the guise of friendly migration. It does not appear clear that the Slavic and Greek occupants of Balkan lands at that time were aware of Islam's militant mindset.
800 years later the Balkan Peninsula remains a radioactive war zone of perennial bloodshed. This should be seen as the handwriting on the wall for all western democracies.

YES! And it's possible that we need to think in terms of debriding a wound of infected tissue in order to avoid gangrene and amputation...
Islam's infiltration into non-Muslim communities seems akin to infection with a necrosing agent such as a bacterium or virus... Until a certain critical mass is attained, no infection is apparent -- but pass the critical population threshold, and rot and fever ensue, followed by the sloughing of formerly healthy tissue... and eventually death...
Against all well intentioned Western prohibitions against discrimination and mass action against minorities -- Islam's presence in the West appears to challenge us to respond by rejecting the infection, or suffer debilitating consequences...
It sounds ugly -- but the existential death of my culture and civilization is FAR uglier to me -- We can see throughout its history that the messy confusing rise of Islam in Persia, Egypt, Byzantium, and India has lead to the collapse and ruin of former world powers -- Islam has brought these former powers to utter degradation -- turned once great civilizations into little more than verminous sewers!
