With 897 vehicles destroyed by daybreak Saturday, it was the worst one-day toll since unrest broke out after the Oct. 27 accidental electrocution of two teenagers who believed police were chasing them. Five hundred cars were burned a night earlier.
In a particularly malevolent turn, youths in the eastern Paris suburb of Meaux prevented paramedics from evacuating a sick person from a housing project, pelting rescuers with rocks and torching the awaiting ambulance, an Interior Ministry official said.
A nursery school was badly burned in Acheres, west of Paris.

France is in the opening phases of Islamification. Just like Indonesia started.
The western press continues to report these disaffected Muslim youths as victims against a sea of discrimination and racism. It boggles my mind that western journalists are failing to see the inherent evil in the random acts of violence by these French Muslim youths.
The press has instead chosen to promulagte their journalistic angst against the white Christian French culture. It is more politically correct to report the story along these lines. To say anything negative about Islam is considered to be intolerant and racist in the media.
By reporting that the Muslims are the real victims in this story, the western press are exonerating the French Muslim youths to the point that their criminal rage is justifiable and should occur under the banner of justice.
So now we've gone from 3000 muslims singing La Marseillaise to 1000 marching silently. Anyway, just what is this march intended to achieve, other than a show for the media? Are these muslims denouncing the imams who foment the hatred and encourage violence? I think Terrahawk is right.

I agree with a previous poster, France's opposition to the US and coalition was not because the country is abandoning western civilisation willingly, they have five million, yes five million Muslim in their midst. The sad thing is this is only the opening salvo of a long war. The other interesting point to consider is that the first generation Algerians were probably much more willing to be a part of France, to work and become Frenchmen with time. After all, they could have stayed in in 'Free Algeria'. No, the sad thing is that their sons and grandsons are more at home (ideologicaly speaking) in Algeria then their parents and grandparents. As you can see, it just says "people". It says nothing about "Muslims" protesting against the rioting.
You can bet that if this group of 1000 protestors were Muslims, the news media would report it -- they always report when Muslims do good things, and rarely mention the M word when Muslims do bad things (notice the conspicuous absence, or at best well-hidden presence, of the M or I words in the reporting on these riots, for example).

Actually, the Muslim invasion and conquest of the Iberian peninsula was not perpetrated merely by "converted" Muslims from North Africa, but by a vast coalition of Muslims that included Arab Muslims, Middle Eastern Muslims, East African Muslims, Egyptian Muslims, and North African Muslims.
There is only one way France, Denmark and Britain, can stop these riots. We need more muslims. That will take care of it. Muslims in larger numbers will feel much more confident in the West, and much less inclined to let off their frustration for being isolated and victimised.
And oh yes, Turkey in the EU asap.
Just heard on FNC that this is caused by crowded housing, and unemployment. When will they get it? I think people in the middle-east live in crowded conditions and have even fewer jobs...just not so many cars to burn. They are mad because the "infidels" have the nerve to live better than the "best people" (muslims). That is not supposed to happen, you know an infidel is not supposed to have a better house than a muslim.

Besides Spain, Austria is another country that has had direct experience with a Muslim invasion.
I suspect it is the experience of the slaughter and pillaging that the Ottoman Muslims wrought upon central Europe that makes Austria the only (France has taken a back seat) EU country directly challenging the proposed membership of Turkey.
Go through the countryside surrounding Vienna and you’ll see many places commemorating the slaughter of Austrians opposing the Turkish invaders in the 15th and 16th century ( is suspect the same holds for the surrounds of Budapest).

If we are to fight the destructive nature of Islam, we have to be truthful to ourselves about it.
There are good things about Islam that people who are Muslim experience, and even ex-Muslims attest to. And why so many Muslims remain Muslims. It's not all because of the death penalty for apostasy.
One of the main ones is the social belonging they feel when they're Muslim. You're part of a big worldwide family, anyone of whom you can call your brother and ask for help/support. There is something energizing about praying in sync with 3000 fellow-mosque-attenders. In the West, individuality is supreme with every person doing his/her own thing. In Islam, individual will directed (some would say bent) in sync with a billion others in the service of Allah makes for a very powerful force. Unless you've experienced the effects of mass prayer, you won't understand what that feels like.
This is the reason people who are socially isolated/deprived are ideal targets for Islam. It gives them the belonging, dignity, brotherhood, power they lack. So there is something therapeutic about being Muslim.
The problem is these treatments extend only to the believers. If you're not a member, you pretty much do not exist in the Muslim mind, except as someone who should be made a member, or eliminated as a danger to the hive.
If you think about it carefully, the whole nature of Islam (Ummah) is eerily reminiscent of the Borg. Each and every feature of it.
France's economy declines and this decline only accelerates as the country becomes more Islamizised. Danegeld, if paid to the muslims (and the muslims only), only accelerates the decline of the national economy as the treasury runs dry and little if anything in terms if economic gain results from the largesse. A politically ambitious and anti-western minority with an intoxicating utopian ideology runs riot around the capital and many major cities. People can no longer walk the streets. People fear that they will be burned alive if they stay at home. The police are powerless to stop it all. People begin to fear that a minority will rise up and take over parts of the country (e.g. like the Communists tried to do in the Munich uprising in pre-war Germany). Muslim leaders even declare in their mosques that this is what they want.
The democratic government seems unable and ideologically unwilling to do anything about the national catastrophe that is their country as the people look on in total humiliation. They worry far more about the politically correct image of their nation than the survival of the nations itself. People begin to think therefore that their government lives in an ivory tower and has become insane/decadent. Many academics ,with the eager help of the media, constantly tell the people that their identity is to blame for the crisis and so they should be ashamed and that only by accepting a new identity subservient to the muslim one will peace in France be restored.
Their country turns more and more into a chaotic socio-economic basket case with every passing day. People truly begin to fear that they will loose everything, their freedoms, wealth/prosperity, their identity and their pride and their nation. Impending doom is everywhere. They see a once great nation brought to its knees in total humiliation.
Many would now "vote for the devil" if he would bring their country back to greatness because it seems that due to the politically correct ideology of the west there is virtually no-one else. They literally have nothing more to lose now. Someone comes from nowhere and offers to restore their country to greatness, wealth and prosperity, while glorifying their countries past making them proud to be French again. This man is no democrat.

Yeah, I saw a short news clip of the marchers. They were definitely NOT IMMIGRANTS in the film clip I saw. One clip showed people with a ribbon down their chest, they were politicans. The other clip showed a bunch of white haired old people and a few scattered young people - they were European all the way.

You may be on to something there. Mass prayer, mass human concentration, ect is not a new idea.
The idea that human minds working in conjunction can move mountains and cause phenomena, is ancient. For instance Rosecrucians study and meditate at the same time. Usually in the evening. Even Coast to Coast AM radio has done experiments in mass concentration with it's listeners, with enough results to frighten the host Art Bell. For mass prayer or concentration to work, all participants must be on the same page. It is not just the prayer that makes things work, it is the 'quality' of the prayer.
Only prayers that are 'selfless' have any power.
Selfish prayers are materialistic, the prayer 'wants' something. When muslims pray, do they ask Allah for anything? If their greatest aspiration is to join Allah and those orgiastic virgins in paradise, their prayers are not selfless. If a muslims prayers include selfish materialism, then their prayers are not theraputic. They could be, but under those conditions, they are not. And if their prayers are indeed theraputic, they have had 1400 years to produce a saint or the Islamic equivelent.

duh_swami, I have always wondered how and why descendants of people (usually about 2 generations or so removed) who were brutally and forcibly converted to Islam themselves become such devout assimilators. I think it's this feeling you have when you get hooked up to the hivemind aka the unified mind/consciousness of the Ummah. With the Ummah, you're everything. Without it, alone and individual, you're nothing.
What we are now seeing in France is the nearest thing they've had to civil war since the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71, when law and order broke down completely in Paris during the Prussian siege of that city. Lawlessness never got as bad as that following the liberation of Paris from German occupation in 1944. But the beginnings of the Jihadi takeover we are now seeing is what France has sowed since 1962, when they started letting Algerians, Moroccans, Tunisians etc in. From Paris, this rioting has now affected cities like Dijon, Strasbourg, Cannes, Nice etc. It is effectively nationwide with the same scenes - torching of vehicles, destruction of property, and it will cost billions to clean up. Worse still, there's more of it to come. Forty years ago, this would have looked unthinkable (you can't compare the riots of 1968 with this), and it has already been said on this thread that molotov cocktails etc must be responded to with live ammunition. Anyone seen throwing or preparing such a device for use must be picked off ruthlessly and without fuss - no questions asked, and say goodbye to bad rubbish. At the end of the day, political correctness must be consigned to the dustbin of history, before it does the same thing to us.
