March for girl set alight after marriage refusal

France, welcome to your future. At least at this point there are still protests. Eurabia update from The Telegraph, with thanks to P.E.:

The family and friends of an 18-year-old girl, doused with petrol and set alight in broad daylight by the man she refused to marry, led a silent march through a Parisian suburb yesterday.

Chahrazad Belayni is currently fighting for her life in intensive care after suffering severe burns on 60 per cent of her body. She is being kept in an artificial coma.

On the morning of Nov 13, the Moroccan teenager was attacked while walking near her home in Neuilly-sur-Marne in the north eastern Seine-Saint-Denis suburb.

She knew her assailant. He was a former workmate of Pakistani origin who was angry about her refusal to marry him. The man and a suspected accomplice are on the run.

"This man asked her to marry him three times. He didn't understand her refusals and wouldn't leave her alone," said Sonia, a classmate. "Chahrazad was a beautiful young girl, very soignée and coquettish. He hurt her more than most by physically damaging her."

Several hundred people marched to the town hall yesterday behind a smiling portrait of Chahrazad and a banner calling for "justice, liberty, respect".

"We are here to denounce this horrible act," said the girl's brother, Abdelaziz, who criticised the lack of public outcry following the attack.

"We are here, not to call for revenge but that justice is done. We are here to denounce all violence against women: women must be able to say No or Yes."

Yes.

What can one say other than this is yet another example of why Islam detrimental to life and should not be part of the West. This and much worse will our fate if we don't do something now.

Islam attracts evil people, and gives them legitimacy to behave like barbarians. Islam is not just an evil religion, but THE religion of Evil. So long as it exists, there can be no peace in the world.

In haste, I initially misread the title above. I thought it was "Match for girl after marriage refusal." My mistake, alas, made perfect sense.

Hugh, you're not the only one. I may have been thinking of the Little Match Girl, for reasons best left unexplored.

You hear about incidents in Pakistan of acid being thrown in the face of girls by rejected suitors. But for this to happen in modern day Paris is appalling. I'm glad that the march is taking place and that her Moroccan family are on her side rather than blaming her for the attack, as is not unknown in such cases.

I read this story and others similar and I wonder how Europeans find the nerve to criticise Americans for having capital punishment. What is this so-called honor killing if not capital punishment without the sanction of law but still with its silent consent? Whimmitude is out of control in Europe, even murderous whimmitude, and yet the Europeans go hysterical when some vicious bastard in America goes to the gas chamber, not for being a female but for crimes committed, and horrible crimes. Who do these people think they are? Girls are mutilated and murdered, and there stand our European friends shrieking hatred at America for-- whatever.

Many Europeans, if I may use a technical term, are arseholes.

Speaking of the death penalty, why are the hypocritcal Europeans so aghast at the existence of capital punishment in America, the termination of society's most incorrigible, remorseless, murdering beasts in a humane and painless procedure? These homicidal savages had no mercy on their victims, most of whom suffered horrible, violent deaths. They had no mercy on the families of their victims, their lives irrevocably damaged by these cruel, senseless acts. Why isn't Europe aghast at the barbaric punishments carried out in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia and Iran in particular? Why aren't the bleeding hearts demanding an end to the mutilations, stonings, hangings, beatings, and beheadings there?

Euthanasia is commonly practiced in some European countries. Newborn babies are "put down" like animals because their birth defects would require a lifetime of expensive medical care, or because their parents don't want to be burdened with an invalid, chronically ill child. The elderly, no longer able to care for themselves or perhaps afflicted with dementia, are expediently disposed of like old shoes.

Abortion is legal and the unborn are murdered every day throughout Europe (and America) but feticide is socially acceptable and not considered murder.

Europeans murder the most vulnerable, defenseless, helpless, and guiltless members of their societies with no compunction: babies, fetuses, and the elderly. Europeans pity America's most vicious, heinous criminals and fight for their lives. Something about this scenario stinks.

I agree with all the comments above : what that man did was a heinous crime and he should and will be punished for it.

The death penalty is mostly refused in Europe because of the risk of sending an innocent to his death.

A risk than can not be ignored since 122 people on death row have been found to be innocent. You guys should check out the aclu website.

Besides for people who pride themselves on being christians you seem to forget the sixth amendment "Thou shall not kill".

Fanatism is a bane spreading across the world but you can't fight fire with fire in this case. The Islamist religion and particularly the Qu'ran have been widely misinterpreted just like christiannism once was during the crusades and the dark ages.

Don't become exactly what you're fighting against by supporting intolerance.
