The National Broadcasting Company (“NBC”) has been airing promotional advertising on its television network for an episode of Law and Order scheduled to be broadcast this evening, Wednesday, November 16, 2005, that is harmful to the reputation of the Minuteman Project, Inc., and Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, Inc.
Their outrageous promotions of this episode include the following language:
ANNOUNCER: Wednesday, new Law and Order… twelve immigrants, cooked alive in a boiling hot truck.
CHARACTER: You classify that as something going down?!
ANNOUNCER: Was it murder? Or Minutemen protecting our borders?
CHARACTER: Nathaniel shouldn't go to jail for protecting this country!
ANNOUNCER: The episode that will enrage America!
CHARACTER: You don't know nothing!
ANNOUNCER: New Law and Order, Wednesday on NBC.
Wait - don't incidents like this happen all the time??? Isn't NBC just trying to be accurate?
On the topic of NBC, last night an advertisement for "Law & Order" indicated that the premise of the next episode involves a Minuteman murdering illegal aliens. The show description may be seen at http://www.nbc.com/Law_&_Order . The Minuteman group never killed any illegals, so obviously this is "true" as well.
Didn't the writers of L&O notice that there's a terrorist sympathizer *and* fundraiser on trial in Florida? Where is the "ripped from the headlines" episode on Sami al-Arian?
Funny how all these Heavily left-wing shows cropped up (aside from West Wing) just a Year before the next set of elections.
Nariz! Please do come defend this show. Our dissing it is scaring away liberals by engendering 'hatred and bile towards the left.'
The media chickens out again. But, the charade is too obvious. I will not watch the show, and even those in the audience who have not read the Qur'an and Sunnah, who do not know anything about the life of Muhammad, the glorification of battle and martrydom, will know instictively that this show slaps reality in the face just to placate a potentially violent backlash. I predict the ratings will be horrible. Wasted advertising, wasted money on top script writers, wasted money on extravagent pay for top actors, ratings in the dumps, and, hence lower advertising fees on the horizon, no repeats, a one time failure. And I wonder what advertisers will be willing to spend for a spot on this joke on reality? They should also worry about offending Christians; Pat Robinson is an idiot but what he has been saying about Islam makes some sense, and a lot of folks are listening. Perhaps the backlash will come from an area the NBC producers do not expect. But, of course, it will be a evangelical Christian reaction; some angry letters, maybe talk of a boycott, some preachers railing about bias, but no bombs and blood. So, offending Christians only has so much downside.
I believe that Hollywood will understand inevitably that the truth will be a much better sell than this kind of placate-the-Islamic-sensitivity game, and when it does, perhaps we will get something like an honest, critical biography of the life of Muhammad...but will the threat of violence and blood bring out the chicken in them? Will cowardice win out over greed?
Time will tell.

I saw a show a while back(I work in a residential facility for the developmentally disabled and TV shows are decided on by other than I) about an ex-special forces guy who found a terrorist in NYC and ended up killing him. The target was really a terrorist, the ex-SF guy argued that we were in a declared war(WOT), the government never stated that the theater was only such-and-such a country, he had proof the guy was a terrorist, he was trained by the government to kill terrorists and why should he stop just because he was discharged, all in all he had a pretty good argument when he went to trial. My coworkers were debating whether or not he would be convicted, I said he'd never be aquitted. "Why", my friends asked, "because of such and such a reason?"
"No", I replied, "He won't be aquitted because Hollywood would never let that happen".
Sure enough, despite his momentum right up until the jury started deliberating, they came back with a "Guilty" verdict. Like it was a surprise ending.
Like there was ever a doubt.
I refuse to donate any money to the scum in the movie industry. The last time I was in a theater, my wife and I took our youngest to see "Free Willy". What was that, 10 years ago?

Both these stories, even in movie format, uphold important values such as loyalty, courage, friendship, character, etc. Much like LOTR. And seeing them on the big screen is an experience that shouldn't be missed.
Second Hand Lions is another excellent film.

OUt of curiosity I watched The History Channels "epic" on the crusades. Not only was the acting absolutely atrocious but at times it made me want to puke. It was complete bullshit historically from beginning to end as it only attemtped to make christian crusaders into treasure seeking murderous pirates and the "saracens" as some sort of group of "defenders" of jerusalem who were on holiday when the fighting started!
No doubt the retards at CAIR will want this rubbish to be shown over and over again as an accurate reflection of the crusades. Far from it i must say. Unless, anyone needs a reeducation on the topic the crusades were an attempt by the Christian world to RETAKE (NOTE "RETAKE" NOT "INVADE") what had been taken by the muslims and to STOP the continued pillaging and rape of the NATIVE CHRISTIAN POPULATIONS by the "I love my penis" muslims. They should have started this "epic" by making it clear that up to the time of the First Crusade islam, saracens, moolies etc etc had killed or murdered hundreds of thousands of people in the middle east, levant and Egypt in conquering and converting the NATIVE CHRISTIANS and burned or converted to putrid mosques over 10,000 churches.

Pay attention to how many are also now being hired as newscasters. And yes, even here in Alaska we now have our own muslim newscaster.
So Hollywood portrayed muslims as bad prior to 9/11 based on news, current events, and military intelligance. Now that Islam in in the spotlight and there is even more reason to portray Islam as evil, Hollywood backs off. Why? Hollywood says that Islam is being portraid all wrong. They were the dorks producing the movies. So why the change? Because Hollywood is scared of getting killed off, actor by actor. Can you say Van Geogh? No actor ever spoke up condemming his killing. They were all to scared.

The show's producers are therefore painting a BOGUS reality. Christians by definition are forbidden to behave as this show depicts them.
The same CANNOT be said for Muslims. Islam incorporates INSTITUTIONALIZED religious murder into its core belief system and nothing can remove or change it. Islam and Christianity are therefore diametrically OPPOSED to each other and do not exist on a relative moral par as many like this show's producers would like us to think.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the mini-series on CBS -- Category 7: The End of the World, starring Randy Quaid, James Brolin, Robert Wagner etc. The latest 2-hour installment was this past Sunday night.
It's about a sudden mysterious outbreak of several natural disasters and storms all over the world. And here's the kicker:
"Meanwhile, a television evangelist and his wife, Donny and Penny Hall (James Brolin and Swoosie Kurtz), preying on the fears of a storm-battered nation, begin to broadcast alarming warnings of biblical plagues."
From the little I saw of the show, the flaky Christian element of the show was rather prominent and regularly alluded to.
And, of course, if there were natural disasters all over the world, we know that the vast majority of Muslims would stay calm, rational and peaceful.
I just went to the E-Ring, ask the expert, wrote my question, sent, and was answered, "No post allowed". They must me overwhelmed. What a bunch of garbage. After 5 minutes, I knew what was up with the E-Ring. What traitors. Can I see this storyline in a headline please? I didn't think so.

Also troubling is the trashing of the Minutemen. Words are symbols. The Minutement, from days of the American Revolution, had to be ready in an instant to guard protect their own communities. Someday we will all be on the frontline, whether its on the border or in cities, repulsing the invasion as our government has failed, through omission or design, to protect us from the invasion of more than ten million illegals, some, perhaps even many, of whom mean us harm.

I watched the program last night on E-ring, which unfortunately created all the wrong impressions to those US citizens who are wiilling to accept the moral/religious equivalency of Islam to other religions, specifically Christianity. The muslims in the program were portrayed as pious, minority victims in the potentially violent, reactionary society of the U.S. The criminals in the program frequently used "crusade" and "holy war" to describe what they were doing. Also comments were made that riots against U.S. embassies in Arab countries happened because of the incident. This series has succumbed to the PC/multicultural influence so prevalent in the MSM and Hollywood today, not to mention the free propaganda which would likely be very welcomed by CAIR and other similar groups.
Yep, all hail the pious muslim minority. Bad christians!!! How dare you invade a mosque, a building of such unsurpassed beauty and artistic imagination...you invade a house of worship?!?!?! You desrve to be slaugtered.

In defense of "E-Ring" last night, the show was trying to point out that there are radical Christians who are no more true Christians than radical Muslims who beleive they are true Muslims. I believe it was an attempt to demonstrate (and rightfully so) that *any* religion has fanatics who do things out of a perverted sense of that religion in order to achieve their own goals. Christianity's track record for killing those of other faith's, is far worse than Islam or any other religion, so this fictional plotline is not unrealistic.
