No accounting of religion

Three weeks of riots has prompted French prime minister Dominique de Villepin and interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy to fall over each other in an attempt help the "disaffected youths". From Reuters:

“Proclaiming equality before the law is no longer enough: henceforth we also need to promote equality by (using) the law,” Sarkozy wrote in an opinion piece for Le Figaro newspaper. “We cannot continue to accept that a growing number of individuals are allotted destinies written in advance.”

Sarkozy stuck to his guns despite opposition by Villepin, the person most likely to challenge him for the role of leading the centre-right into the presidential election.

Villepin told a radio interviewer yesterday that there was no place for positive discrimination in a state built on the notion of equal opportunities for everyone.

“We say that when there are inequalities, we put them right. But we must not fix them by renouncing our French model, a universal model under which each individual is respected for who he is, independent of colour,” Villepin told RTL radio. “We must correct the inequalities and fix handicaps ... but without taking into account ethnicity or religion – which is the nature of positive discrimination,” he said.

Very disappointing. I was under the impression that Sarkozy was that rare French politician who actually had a spine.

Here's a fine how-de-doo. Sarkozy, on whom so many hopes were placed, comes down on the side of equality of outcome, and does not dare touch the subject that needs to be touched: what is it about Islam that explains subpar economic performance, even in the Muslim lands that have no excuse, for they have received nearly $10 trillion dollars over the past 34 years and have failed everywhere to create the semblance of a modern economy; or that explains the dismal performance of Muslim immigrants, compared to other non-Muslim immigrants -- Hindus, Vietnamese Buddhists and Christians, Chinese -- all over Europe. What is it, about Islam, that stands a permanent obstacle to integration with Infidels -- could it be, might it be, the very attitudes of hostility and even murderous hatred that one can find set out in Qur'anic passages, in Hadith stories, in details of the life of Muhammad set out in the Sira? No, none of that for Sarkozy.

And what a surprise to see the deplorable Dominique de Villepin stand up for -- well, essentially, for the grandes ecoles, and the meritocracy of examinations, and Long live the khagne! Long live the agregation! For it that goes, then the entire cult of intelligence and merit goes with it, and even though there are plenty of reasons to deplore the recent examples of graduates of ENA and suchlike, the destruction of the examination system, and the obstacle course set up, would be the last nail in the coffin of Jules Ferry and la carriere ouverte aux talents, and the cartable for the little ones, and the cahier, and the cahier de vacances, and the bac, and everything that is left to which even D. de V. sees has its points.

But he, too, does not dare explain what it is about Islam that stunts mental growth, or that prevents genuine integration of Muslims in a society where they do not receive what they regard as their due-- that due being, in the end, the modification over time of that Infidel society to accommodate Muslim demands at every level, until, as has happened everywhere that Muslims become a majority or a too-powerful minority, Islam comes to dominate and Muslims rule. It does not always take place through outright military conquest. See the East Indies, where traders from the Hadramaut settled in Java, and one thing led to another, with the results that can be observed.

France is doomed. I've written off France.

In a few decades or sooner, all that will be left to do is take in the millions of french refugees and send in paratroops to save the art treasures from being destroyed. Oh ... and someone will have to write a great history. Something along the lines of, The Decline, Fall and Disappearance of France. I say we stop worrying so much about France and try to save the United States. When are they going to build that fence along the southern border? What is the matter with people in the United States?

Let's see. That leaves Villiers (?) and LePen.

Yeah, when are we going to get OUR fence?

As for writing France off, here I am, just received my French language version of Servier's Islam and the Psychology of the Musulman. I am going to put up the french version at http://musulmanbookfr.blogspot.com to go with the english version http://musulmanbook.blogspot.com.

Funny, the English version was in very good shape for an 80 year old book. But the French version my library gave me via ILL, well, it is so brittle the pages lift off from the backing, the binding long disintegrated, and the edges of the paper everywhere easily break off, so brittle and fragile. It looks like it is slowly being eaten by microscopic wood bores. Should I even bother trying to scan this? Does it represent France in itself? Brittle, broken, rundown, being eaten away.

I wanted to put it on the web in French for the French. At least those French who want to understand what is happening to their country. I'll give it a go but the book may turn to dust before I get through.

Putting Andre Servier's "La psychologie des musulmanes" on the world-wide web in the original French is very important. One hopes that the network of truth-telling French websites, including www.les4verites.com and www.france-echos.com, will alert their readers to the availability of Servier on the web. Though he is not always tactful, and one need not agree with absolutely everything, so much of what he wrote, in a far less inhibited age, is confirmed by the evidence of what one sees all around, in France itself and in Dar al-Islam, that intelligent readers will suffer the shock of recognition.

Whatever texts are available from not so long ago, not even a century ago, that include the shcolarship and observations of such Western students of Islam who wrote in French as Clement Huart, Armand Abel, Edmond Fagnan, Charles-Emmanuel Dufourcq, and others, samples of whose writings on the Jihad are usefully included in "The Legacy of Jihad" (which should be translated into French, as into other major European languages, and published not in five years, but within the year)will be gratefully received by an intelligent, mislead, and deeply confused French audience -- or at least some of it. Keep it up. What you are doing is wonderful.

John Sobieski:

I agree with Hugh. Let's give the french a chance to save themselves.

Am also very disppointed in Nicolas Sarkozy. Well that just leaves Le Pen and he is 7oyrs + I
think. Come back Jeanne d'Arc : your country need you!

Sarkozy: “We cannot continue to accept that a growing number of individuals are allotted destinies written in advance.”

Guess he never heard of Allahs predestination. Everything that was/is going to happen was written prior to the event by the Pen of Destiny.
If those poor French muslims are poor, it's because Allah wanted it that way. Rioting against conditions imposed by Allah is a form of apostacy...unless that is, the rioting was actually done to impose Allah and his law on the land. In that case it is not rioting, it's a jihad operation. If the French want to save themselves from Islam, they must first get rid of appeasing politicians. The same holds true with the US, Brit, Israel and any other infidel nation that deals with Islam. Weak politicians make for a strong Islam...get some leaders with some guts...

Le Pen, even if he is 70+ years old, could do enough good in 5 years if elected as to help undo all the bad that's been done in the last 25 in France.

The French version of the Servier book would not only benefit French people, but also non-French readers of French.

I visited Normandy a few years back, mostly to see the World War II sites but also for the ancient history.

The French actually deeded the land at the big American cemetery at Colleville Sur Mer to the United States, I guess its time to start collecting money to move all those buried men back to America.

“We must correct the inequalities and fix handicaps ... but without taking into account ethnicity or religion – which is the nature of positive discrimination,” he said.
What does Villepin with his intellectual fineries, believe such inequalities should be?
For if he was to pose that question to the leaders of those "dissafected youth. they would reply that fixing it would be to recognise and acknowledge the Superiority of Muslims over the French.
There is no solution which involves equality and he must know that.
And without ethnicity or religion?
This is itself an insult to Muslims who wish to be feared and submitted to,precisely on account of their religion.

Looks like sarkozy & ddvillepin are playing the old good-cop-bad-cop game. It's just that they have switched their expected roles to confuse the public. DVD is pretending to be a hard-liner, whereas sarkozy is soft-lining, which may or may not be his real self. Of course, they are not taking reality seriously or informing their populations about it.

As to lePen-- he is a crook and absolutely not to be trusted. Recall that he went to Bagdad just like George al-Gallawi to toady before Saddam Hussein. The leader in France who seems most trustworthy and insightful is Philippe de Villiers, as far as I am concerned.

How about this opinion piece directed at France's Ambassador to Israel
Islam is the problem in France

Sorry Ambassador Araud, but I reject your argument on this page last week that the riots that gripped Paris, and other cities around France for much of November, are "not an intifada."
Araud's contention that "This was no ‘Muslim Revolt, but rather riots by young people who suffer from discrimination" simply fails to reflect reality. It's a bit tough, really, when the facts tell a different story. ...

Mr. Ambassador, as France's official representative, you act in concert with your "bosses" back in Paris. They, too, try to avoid the true problem: the Islamization of France and Islam's fight with the West.

That's it Villepin, give equal opportunities to Islam in France.
Like in the old proverb:
Breed crows and they will eat your eyes..

Just some questions...

Haven't these guys got any survival instinct left?

Isn't there anything that they hold dear?

Are they not willing to sacrifice themselves and to fight for anything?

Will they just let the Muslims sweep over them?

Rocky asks:
Haven't these guys got any survival instinct left?

swami: Guess not.

Rocky:Isn't there anything that they hold dear?

swami: Guess not

swami: Guess not.

Will they just let the Muslims sweep over them?

swami: Thats what it looks like.

Once again they will try appeasement. Once the appeasement is absorbed, the muslimo's will get hungry again. The more you give them the more they eat. Soon they will demand everything and probably get it...or just take it. France is not necessarilly doomed, but the power thats there now better get its act together, or another power will take over...Allah power, sharia law,
religious thought police with swords and uzies,
France (as we know it) will walk the pirates plank and be forced to jump off the edge into obscurity. Replaced by 'The Peoples Republic of Allah"...

Forget Old Man le Pen! Phillipe de Viliers for President of the Republic!

Robert are your books printed in French? maybe you can send one to Chirac and the gang!
