For the third time in a week, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday the Holocaust is a "myth" that Europeans have used to create a Jewish state in the heart of the Islamic world.Speaking to thousands of people in the southeastern city of Zahedan, Ahmadinejad said: "Today, they have created a myth in the name of Holocaust and consider it to be above God, religion and the prophets."
Ahmadinejad said it was the Europeans who committed crimes against the Jews and they, the United States or Canada, should give part of their land to the Jews to establish a state.
"If [the Europeans] committed this big crime, then why should the oppressed Palestinian nation pay the price?" Ahmadinejad asked rhetorically Wednesday. "You have to pay the compensation yourself.
"This is our proposal: give a part of your own land in Europe, the United States, Canada or Alaska to them (Jews) so that the Jews can establish their country," he said.
I'd love to be in the front row of a Q&A with this guy... wondering what his take is on the Mufti of Jerusalem.

It's pretty amazing that a man about to have his finger on the button can rant like this, and provoke nothing more than a mildly disapproving glance from the civilized world.

Using his logic couldn't the Jewish nation ask that Syria, Saudia Arabia, Jordan and all the other counties in the Middle East set aside some of their land for the Palestinian people?

l think if l were residing in Europe, which is not too far from Iran, l would be concerned that his nuclear capabilities would threaten any city within Europe's border.. but Europeans have become corrupt and lazy, will depend on the US or Israel to do something about Iran. What a neat solution to the ME conflict it would be for the Europeans to play bystander to a nuclear exchange between Israel and the Muslim nations. No more festering sore of "Palestinianism"; the final solution completed; millions of Muslim barbarians liquidated. All that would remain would be for the Europeans to step in after radiation levels drop to rehabilitate the oil supply lines under a new EU "protectorate" scheme.
Something tells me the Europeans will not get off that easy under the above scenario.
The NY Times seems to keeping bad news about Iran from the public for fear that it might justify Bush's calling that country a memeber of an axis of evil.
There is no news in the Times about Iranian officials calling the Holoclaust "a myth" and wanting to destroy the Jewish State.
I suppose that is NOT news fit to print.

Let's correct another myth- the myth of the "moderate Muslim". And while we're at it, why don't we move all Muslims to Saudi Arabi & Iran while we're moving people around the globe. Just think, no more long lines at the security checkpoint in the airport, no more ghoulish women covered with black sacks from head-to-toe, no more disturbed college students blowing themselves up after visiting the local mosque. Maybe Ahmadinejad's on to something.

I am glad somebody above remembered to mention Haj Amin el-Husseini, British-appointed mufti of Jerusalem [sometimes inaccurately called the "Grand Mufti"]. Search the web for articles about him and his Nazi collaboration. His family name is sometimes spelled Husayni.
The myth's that he is missing are:
1. That Mohammud was a prophet.
2. That Palestine is a nation and that is their land.
I agree with Webo.....let the middle eastern nations that CREATED the palestinians set aside land.

Personally, I find the following statement from the article to be quite telling of his mindset -basically that no matter what the situation, the West is to blame for everything:

Iran has suffered a series of plane accidents — most recently on Dec. 6, when an aging U.S.-made military transport plane crashed into a tall building in Tehran, killing 115 people. Iranian officials have blamed Washington for the crashes, saying they are partly caused by the difficulty in obtaining spare parts.
The media has failed to report, all but in one instance, that the passengers of that plane consisted of mostly reporters and journalists …mighty convenient that it should crash for him, isn’t it? That's beside the point, though...
Anyway, the thing that I find so funny about the above quote is that the West is being blamed for not selling them spare parts for the plan …a U.S. plane, even. Can’t these sand-dwelling buffoons do ANYTHING on their own?? I mean …they’re our old planes, they’re our spare parts …why don’t they manufacture their own parts for some rusty bucket they’re trying to have fly through the air? Why not build their own planes, for that matter?

Does anyone else find it a little strange that he singles out a state in the US, after mentioning three countries?
There is alot of strange activity in the Alaskan waters that the Coast Guard is dealing with, and this is coming from North Korean, Malaysian, and Indonesian ships.
Take into consideration how hard it is to deal with the US-Mexican border, then realize that Alaska has more coastline then the west coast, east coast, and gulf of mexico. From Alaska it is a easy slip into Canada, and then from there ?????
I don't know if he is paying attention to ANWAR, or if he is a enviromentalist and loves the animals and glaciers or if he is hearing how vast Alaska is and how easy it is to get in. I just wonder if he is maybe accidentally revealing his hand by the mention?

When this buffoon of a leader was first elected (if you can call it an election), there were media reports that some of the former US embassy hostages charged that Ahmad-jihad was actually one of their captors. If this does turn out to be true I would expect ol' Alberto Gonzales to issue extradition papers for this former kidnapper and extortionist.

Just amend the above reference slightly to "residing in Europe..not too far from NAZI GERMANY..." and you understand that they are once again, as in the 1930's, setting the world up for millions of deaths by another ruthless movement bent on world domination ... islam.
