The group's executive director, Nihad Awad, charged Bush's "wiretapping policy is not only an apparent violation of existing law, it also gives carte blanche for spying, without legal oversight, on any American."
"Such wide-ranging and unrestricted powers are an invitation to abuse of constitutional rights and freedoms, and should be of concern to everyone in a society based on respect for the law," he asserted.
Awad said he fears such surveillance powers could be expanded and used to spy on people who hold dissenting political views.

When the phone calls originate outside US territory it is clearly in US interests to investigate calls from suspected terrorists and falls under the control of the NSA and CIA. Wonder if CAIR is worried that some of those calls may have been made to their people? Merry Christmas CAIR!

CAIR has vocally and financially supported groups like Hamas and Hezb'allah for years. Filing for the FOIA on Bush's wiretapping policy is CAIR's way of finding out how much the government learned about it's fraudulent organization. It's awfully coincidental that members of CAIR have been arrested on terror related activity after 9/11.

I hope their request is denied; they have no interest whatsoever in protecting or defending the Constitution. It is maddening to hear a seditious muslim immigrant, loyal only to Islam and the umma, tell us what OUR Constitution is all about.
