IAEA cannot question A.Q. Khan

A report concerning one of our dear allies in the war on terror. From ExpressIndia:

Pakistan has ruled out permission to the IAEA to directly interrogate A.Q. Khan in order to unravel the proliferation network led by him, claiming it has been cooperating with the UN nuclear watchdog's investigations.

Reacting to comments by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director Mohammad ElBaradei to media that direct dialogue with A.Q. Khan would help solve the puzzle of the nuclear blackmarketing led by the father of Pakistan's nuclear programme, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said, "We have been cooperating with the IAEA and this cooperation has been appreciated by the Agency".

President Pervez Musharraf has made it clear on many occasions that whatever information is required will be provided through the government of Pakistan.

The nuclear watchdog, which is currently dealing with Iran wanted to question Dr Khan, who had allegedly assisted Tehran in developing its nuclear programme.

UN Watchdog is an old Bloodhound who has lost its sense of smell, is blind in one eye, toothless and in danger of being gassed by that'elusive Islamic Chemist.' I say shoot it and put the poor thing out of its misery - this applies to other useless creatures at UN!

One hopes that the F-16 sale, and the sale of all advanced military equipment, to Pakistan has been permanently cancelled, and not temporarily delayed. At the moment, with the American debt relief, and the constant solicitude of the Western world, Pakistan is enjoying a small boomlet. That boomlet can be ended by concerned Western effort, and great and permanent economic damage can be done to Pakistan (leaving aside all that phony huffing and puffing as America's pretend ally in the "war on terror"). If those nuclear weapons are not surrendered to American custody (really, the Pakistani mobs need not be informed of this -- let them think that Pakistan still has control if it makes them feel better), then all kinds of things should happen, that are not happening.

Constantinople,

Sarcasm is all that it is. Just sarcasm...

The last I heard was PAKISTAN had postponed the transaction of F16 fighters because of the earthquake.

I may have missed some new development though.

"Pakistan has ruled out permission to the IAEA to directly interrogate A.Q. Khan ... claiming it has been cooperating with the UN nuclear watchdog's investigations."

Ahh, the old "We can't cooperate with you because we are cooperating with you" gambit. I saw that on Star Trek one time, where the robots (or in our case, silly and easily bamboozled infidels) kept repeating the words in confusion until they short circuited.

Yep, we infidels obviously lack the intelligence to unravel their unbelievably sophisticated trickery.

PLEASE!! We expect one dirty muslim country to give up the others? This is absolute insanity!

Turns out brother muslim country Libya ratted out on AQ Khan's bomb designs to the west last year. And Iran to admitted to the IAEA the centrifuge designs they have originate in Pakistan. Ratting out on each other is nothing mew within the ummah, rest assured.

What is Musharraf afraid of ?

Iran must be confronted, if not by a Muslim led UN delegation, then by us.

Watchdog. Right.
