TEHRAN, Iran - Iran on Sunday offered the United States a share in building a new nuclear power plant in an apparent effort to curb U.S. opposition to its atomic program."America can take part in international bidding for the construction of Iran's nuclear power plant if they observe the basic standards and quality," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said at a news conference.
Asefi was apparently talking about a 360-megawatt light water nuclear power plant in southwestern Iran, which the head of the country's top atomic organization announced plans to build on Saturday.

Why don't the US take extra forces out of europe and Japan and use them to reinforce a brand new invasion of Iran!

In the software programming community, there's always the 'last-resort' trojan placed inside big programs by lead developers. Stuff that can irrevocably crash a system when activated remotely by the designers. maybe the uS can do something similar with Iranian nuke plants, eh?

If there is any shred of truth to this, I have NO DOUBT that American politicians will be tripping over themselves to pass whatever legislation is needed to build the best nuke plants that Saudi money can buy!

This request reminds me of the Nazis' use of forced labor in munitions factories during WWII. The Jews forced to build the weapons used against the Allies figured out a way to make the weapons pass inspection but fail in the battlefield. This is just an attempt by the Iranians to get a whole bunch of foreign nationals inside their borders so they have a quick and handy supply of human hostages they can kill if any attacks are launched against their other sites currently constructing nuclear weapons. Are we that easily fooled?
Remember that these are the same people who completely disregarded international law and forcibly took over the Embassy of a foreign gov't and held it's people hostage for 444 days.
They'll do it again in a heartbeat.
Iran is counting on the insatiable greed of corporate America that have always sold us to our enemies since WWII when the American firms sold the Japanese the technology and material they used to attack us. Iran to this day and Sadam-era Iraq under sanction got plenty of American stuff through Canadian or European subsidiaries. All of Congress and especially the Republican parry are on-the-take from all these companies that continue to sell America’s bones to the highest bidder.
They sold all of our missile technology including our advanced heat-shield technology to the Chinese for mere few hundred millions… The technology that cost the tax payers countless billions was given to our enemies at a discount. GE, Boing, and Lockheed Martin are some of the worst offenders. The Bushs, the Chaneys of the world, and the rest of the Republican leadership worship at the temple of the almighty dollar.

This is not such a crazy idea as it seems. After all, the US have helped Sadam during 10 years before he got out of hand, trained and helped Bin Laden and his terrorist group against the Soviets, which is the main reason we have to face global terrorism now. As well, while they were publicly supporting Sadam during the Iraq-Iran war, they secretely begged the Iran islamic regime to help in freeing occidental hostages in the Middle East, giving them weapons (Contra Affair).
The US have a large historial of hanging themselves with their own rope for diverse reasons (geopolitic power, money...). So this is not such an unlikely possibility.

The safest way to defuse Iran I think would be for the US to use its own EMP's on Iran before they use it on us.
