CAIRO, Egypt - A statement signed by an Iraqi insurgent group said Thursday in an Internet posting that it killed a kidnapped U.S. security consultant. The claim's authenticity could not be immediately verified.It was the first time in more than a year that an insurgent group announced the slaying of an American hostage. Thursday's statement, posted on an Islamic militant Web forum, did not identify the hostage and provided no evidence he had been killed, but said pictures of the slaying would be released later....
Another insurgent group, the Swords of Righteousness, has set a Saturday deadline, threatening to kill four Christian humanitarian workers abducted two weeks ago, including an American, two Canadians and a Briton. A French aid worker and a German citizen are also currently being held by kidnappers.

If this report proves to be true the "lions of islam" killed one of their own. So be it. Sadly, his death will be blamed on Bush. Liberal fools.
These people have beguiled Western media for thirty five years with frequent name changes. Meanwhile, the rest of us have noticed a pattern: all these groups' members are muslim.

Muslims apparently haven't thanked 'allah' here, which is wise of them (for a change). These (murderous) folk SHOULD however mention Marduk or Sin for their "righteousness" as this is the true source of their beliefs. Traditionally when Muslim "extremists" or, "human sacrifice specialists" (which we believe to be a far more apt term) slaughter a human being or perform an act of "terror," they invoke their deity to whom they owe allegiance (allah of course). When I first read this article I thought the hostage that was murdered was one of the four collaborating peace shills we've read about of late.
In fact it may be another American hostage that has been murdered. An American security consultant.
If in fact it was a "security consultant" and not a "peace keeper shill" that has been murdered, then I offer my apologies as well as my condolences to the family of the murdered hostage.

Whatever you thought you were responding to, the fact is that the way the CPT hostage situation is being reported on Canada's national broadcaster at least, is that their fate lies in the hands of the US government and not the murderous sociopaths of "Sword", or even the duly elected Iraqi government, which may also prefer to see the prisoners remain in custody.

I hate all the companies working in Iraq now because they do not care in the least about their workers. Site managers are ex-government flunkies who would not give a damn if most of their workforce got wiped out. After all, the US government does not hold them responsible for the delay and the insurance company takes care of the rest. Believe or not, thanks to the global economic status, workers from every country are forced to go to Iraq. There is not a shortage of desperate workers, quality not withstanding.
Bosses, those who want to live the expatriate lifestyle, force their workers to stay in suburban villas and commute to work on secure compounds. My time in Iraq, 60% of my time on Iraqi roads was unnecessary. Also, the military evicted some contractors for want of space and resources. Basically, contractors eat all the food; cram the living spaces; use up the hot water in the showers, endanger security, etc… The Military can not take care of the endless chain of contractors and subcontractors from around the world. When I was living in a secure compound in Baghdad, workers from Pakistan and Bangladesh smuggled small mines and implanted them, and then got away. It is just a big miss that no one knows how to sort it out. It is a miss and on which will only end when our people come home, God bless ’em.
I thought the "deadline" for the "swords of righteousness" group to kill the "collaborators" was today. I wonder why they pushed the deadline back?
have_mercy, I saw a television special showing American workers signing up to go to Iraq because of the six figures salaries being paid.Most knew of the danger but went anyway because of the money that could be made. The American hostage who escaped a few months ago said that money was the reason he was in Iraq.

When I first signed up, I did not know that I would be going to Iraq. I did not care about the money either in the post 911 patriotic fervor. However, seeing the waste and futility of the effort firsthand, there is no earthly motivation other than money that could bring me back, and that is not enough for me to risk my life for. Contractors (even the non-security related) are treated as disposable commodities by their employers and as overpaid mercenaries by some resentful military personal. Working in Iraq is a highly dangerous, physically and psychological demanding endeavor; fraught with hardships and stress; an atmosphere of hostility and corruption choke the very air of Iraq, along with the dust, the infamous Iraqi flies, and the oven-like heat.
Killing, one of the two things the Muslims are good at.
The other is whining.
