Muslim group attacks mosque plan

It would be easier for Sir Iqbal to make his case if the entire community rose up and cast out those few, instead of allowing those few to operate and recruit freely until stopped by British authorities. From the BBC, with thanks to JE:

Government plans that could see the closure of mosques suspected of inciting extremism have been attacked by Muslim leaders.
Sir Iqbal Sacranie said the move would "criminalise an entire community for the criminality carried out by a few"....

But he added loyalty to the UK was not incompatible with the Muslim faith....

Sir Iqbal described the government proposals designed to tackle terrorism the "single most dangerous piece of legislation".

Under the plans, police could seek a court order for the temporary closure of a place of worship if extremist behaviour or terrorist activity was believed to be taking place.

Mosques were not specifically singled out in the proposal but most people would see the proposal as referring to mosques and trustees of mosques, the MCB has said....

The MCB's Sher Khan said the gathering at the Excel centre fulfilled a "very important need to clarify to the wider community that British Muslims are part and parcel of the wider community".

Who is going to clarify that to the Muslim community, and when?

English people, real English people hate Sir Iqbal.

The more the Establishment cozy up to him the more they are hated & despised by their own kind.

How can reasonably intelligent people be taken in by Sir Iqbal? The truth is only a few clicks away about him, his views, his wishes for "democracy", his hatred of Israel & Jews

He is a terrorist spokeman, enabler & supporter.

(In this Englishmans opinion....)

"Mosques were not specifically singled out in the proposal but most people would see the proposal as referring to mosques and trustees of mosques, the MCB has said.... "

Gee, why does everyone seem to think that mosques would be "targeted"? Sureley there is just as much danger from radical Catholics right?

"Sir Iqbal Sacranie said the move would "criminalise an entire community for the criminality carried out by a few".... "

Well, if the entire community condemned the actions of the few...

"But he added loyalty to the UK was not incompatible with the Muslim faith...."
--- from the article above

This assertion by Iqbal Sacranie should not simply be accepted. Articles should be written on this very subject. Is it possible, given the tenets, attitudes, atmospherics of Islam, for an observant, believing Muslim, to owe loyalty not to fellow Muslims, wherever they may be, but to Infidels within the same nation-state, and to that very nation-state?

I suspect that what Iqbal Sacranie means, when he talks of "Muslim loyalty," is this: we Muslims are "loyal" to the United Kingdom because we "wish for it only the best" and (unstated) "only the best" is of course the rule of Islam. All else is Western decadence and disarray. By bringing Islam, spreading Islam, working for Islam to dominate and for all barriers to its domination to be removed, we are indeed showing that we are "loyal" to both Islam and to the United Kingdom. For how can a Believer possibly wish anything less for any place to which he claims "loyalty"?

And that is the problem. What if the Infidels, in that Infidel nation-state, have quite a different view of what constitutes loyalty? A loyalty that no Believer in Islam can possibly offer?

Then what?

"What if the Infidels, in that Infidel nation-state, have quite a different view of what constitutes loyalty? A loyalty that no Believer in Islam can possibly offer?"

Apparently, no Western nation currently has a view of loyalty that conflicts with the Islamic view of loyalty.

With:

1) the dominant PC Negationism in the West of any significant imperfection in Islam

and

2) the amnesia of a Western moral compass,

there is not much standing in the way of losing ourselves in translation to a new Golden Age of Islam.

What was QE2 thinking when she awarded this Islamist with a knighthood? Was she attempting to bring him "into the fold"? Award him for his tireless promotion of the Islamic cause in her realm?

His continued aggressive Islamist advocacy makes it clear that he has not been appeased. His fealty is clearly for Islam, and ANYTHING that promotes Islam in Britain. I am nominating Queen Elizabeth 2 for Dhimmi of the Year for forcing her countrymen to address the vile Iqbal as "Sir".

Tuff luck ya creepy slime ball! You are guests in European nations and as far as I'm concerned, unwanted guests. You don't discipline your own so non-Muslims will have to. Your Ummah has only itself to blame

I second the motion. Vile is a mild term for this slick slimey slithering snake in the grass.

"But he added loyalty to the UK was not incompatible with the Muslim faith..."
-- Report on Sir Iqbal's growing displeasure with the U.K. security folks

It's a doggoned shame that we're not allowed to challenge this patently fake assertion with quotes from Islamic scripture.

So I won't do that here. That'd be like banging a frying pan in an echo chamber. The citations need to be on prime time TV.

Looks like everyone missed this one:

They are planning to build a 40000 seater mosque(nops, no typo), in Stratford, to be the 'muslim quarter' for the games.

Unfortunately, Her Maj cannot refuse a Knighthood granted by the Prime Ministers Office. In fact, she would be hard pushed to refuse any State duty imposed upon her these days by New Labour.

I am sure she had thoughts race through her mind when Sir Iqbal had to kneel before his Sovereign to accept the Liz's knighting Sword?

This was a political Knighthood. No one outside the British Ummah had heard of him before his Knighthood.

Cheers
Albion

So Tony Blair by proxy?

Has the sovereign ever slipped in this procedure? With the sword so close to the neck and all -- she's not exactly young, and the sword isn't exactly light -- it all provides plausible deniability at the very least -- but those hunnish Kings and Queens were never very quick on their feet.

This is interesting. A muslim thinks that closing mosques thought to be headquarters for terrorism, and making legislation to deal with terrorism, is dangerous. Who'd a thunk it? Muslims, those who consider themselves "moderate" or "peaceful" are the very one defending terrorism, and standing against every nation where muslims live, but the nation itself is not muslim, or muslim majority. It's sad that we buy into this tripe; hook, line, and sinker. I'm actually surprised that the world does not see this Iqbal character for what he is, an islamic terrorist. How blind do we have to be, he's not even trying to hide the fact that he supports terrorism. When will we learn, how many more of our people have to die, before we recognize the true threat to our survival?

What did one expect from the likes of "SIR" Iqbal? Its sad we have to listen to this savage who is a apologist for violent Jihad. If we accept the Mohammedians to self regulate their terror activities, its only wishful thinking. They hate what we stand for - Western civilization & Christianity. What they want to establish is their crude 7th century despotic killing cult, a 1400 year old ideology of victimhood, revenge, hatred, and hegemony.

Pushy, crude, agressive, dominating,
he gives a whole new meaning
to "sir."
Iky, the petty tribal chief,
where's he from, Pakistan?

Who wants to play muslims and cowboys?
The British don't seem inclined
but watch those Celtic rednecks, iky,
don't count them out just yet.
