Palestinian Authority official Nasser Al-Kidwa told an Arabic-language London newspaper, "There is no such thing as 'disarming', nor will there be."Repeating the position expressed in many variations by PA officials in recent months, Al-Kidwa, responsible for the foreign relations of the PA, told Al-Hayat this week that the only step that would be taken is an "organization of arms" by agreement among all PA terrorist groups. The PA position on the matter would not change, Al-Kidwa declared, until "the Palestinian situation changes entirely."
In that regard, Al-Kidwa blamed Israel [you don't say! -- RS] for the security situation in the PA, saying, "The Palestinians are still under Israeli occupation." The PA militias and police, he claimed, are in disarray and short of basic military supplies and training facilities due to Israeli policies.
The Paleostinian Leadership won't disarm Terrorists? I for one am shocked by this new development. Shocked I tell you!

One wonders if Israel did the right thing to withdraw from Gaza although I understand the cost of maintaining security there is ruinously expensive. Perhaps Israel rightly believes the
'democratic' and 'peaceful' Palestinians will kill each other off - something which usually happens when Muslims run out of Infidels for target practise. Even Dhimmi E.U governments must be getting fed up by the constant whine that
'Palestinians live in poverty which is all the fault of those nasty Jews'; billions have been
poured into a black hole of corruption thanks to
Palestinian Leaders. Suggest that no Western Government gives any CASH instead donates MILLIONS OF FREE CONDOMS to limit the size of enormous Pally families which would put a strain on any economy. By the way what has happened to the billions Arafat squirreled away FOR THE BENEFIT OF HIS PEOPLE OF COURSE!

Abbas's apparent weakness is not lost on the Israelis, and with his lack of leadership, he has signed his death warrant to the hands of Hamas! Abbas appeasement like his supporters, which will cause a continued killing in his fiefom.
Two things:
1) Condi, being the Stanford Genius that she is, will understand what this means and demand that our $50 million be refunded immediately.
2) By announcing this inaction, the PA admits that their nascent nation will be a Moslem Mob (i.e., an Islamic Republic) and not the democratic Eden about which Condi has been waxing poetically this past year.

Yeah, it's a real mystery why people would side with a fascist ideology while claiming to be progressive. I attribute it to a very successful propaganda campaign which is transmitted through all the major wire services. Jew-hating is another factor.

The Palestinians are UN refugees. The UN rules and international law are that there are to be no weapons by or in refugee areas, other then law enforcement (which allow or participate in killing).
The UN does nothing, and the US sends more weapons.
Interestingly, the Christian Sudanese refugees are still killed in their refugee areas because THEY HAVE NO GUNS, and the law enforcement are allowing the killing.
The US should redirect the weapons that they have been sending to the PA and send them to the Sudanese.
Then we would see the UN have a problem.

The last time I checked, Michael Moore was not PM of Israel or President of the United States. Nor were Jane Fonda, Barbara Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, or Martin Sheen (except on television).
