"Secular" France issues Hajj guide

"France Issues Hajj Guide, Media Showing Interest," from IslamOnline, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

PARIS, December 17, 2005 (IslamOnline.net) – The French Foreign Ministry has issued thousands of brochures on hajj in French and Arabic to make the spiritual journey easier for its Muslim citizens.

The five-page guide contains key advice for the pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia, like avoiding deadly stampedes.

It also features basic information on their legal rights if their travel agents did not meet the announced program.

Some three thousand French pilgrims were left stranded at Saudi airports last year for disorganization and unconfirmed flight reservations by some tour operators.

The faithful can further find in the new guide contacts of the French embassy and consulate in Riyadh and Jeddah respectively for any inconvenience.

how nice of them! could we talk any non muslims into putting on bomb belts around mecca? dont need to, as inspired muslims can stampede to their deaths!

Anywhere else this is termed "browntonguing" to a vocerous, violent, unassimilable minority.

Historians will record this decision as the first among many in the breakdown of french-style secularism in the French Republic. The sooner the inevitable happens the better ity will be for other countries who can then wake up and take some defensive measures against the muslime invasion!

Amazing. Imagine the protests if the French government were to create such a guide for a Christian pilrimage or a tour of the Holy Land. France is a cautionary example for us all.

I wonder if this guide includes advice for the "shocked" female French converts to Islam who, according to another article on IslamOnline, are denied visas to travel to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj? Seems they need to be accompanied by a male, or at least a group of "honest and trustworthy" males and females.

If this is a "shock" to these female converts, then we know they didn't do their homework before converting. Tsk, tsk!

"Some three thousand French pilgrims were left stranded at Saudi airports last year for disorganization..."
-- IslamOnline

Imagine that, disorganized Moslems. The fact that the collective logic of the Koran, Sunnah, and Islamic Law works to addle any brain gullible enough to buy into these reprehensible texts is our only edge in this War With Islam...

Thousands stranded at a Saudi airport? Sounds like the French are finally coming to thier senses.

Dhimitude at its finest hour...they should of been thankful that maybe three thousand mooslems would never come back, ahh but yes it is france we are talking about and without all the mooslems to start riots and fires every night things would be quite boring there.

"Spiritual journey"? Getting together with fellow Muslims to throw stones at a pillar and shout curses, and guess who those forces of evil one is shouting curses against are in the minds of so many Muslims identified with? Could it be, might it be, Infidels?

Is this France, where the most popular line of introcution-to-the-subject paperbacks used to be called "Que Scais-Je" from the Montaigne line expressing the need for skepticism and Question All Things, and then following upon that the need for free and skeptical inquiry, in order to see what was, and what was not, true, is this the France that became the self-conscious embodiment of the Enlightenment, heir -- we learn in those courses called Western Civ all about Rousseau, and Voltaire (author of "Mahomet"), and Diderot, and L'Encyclopedie, and the Declaration of the Rights of Man, and then we skip forward, still not abandoning the God of Reason, to Benjamin Constant and Tocqueville and where even those who see the need for myth are themselves rational analyzers of that myth and not merely promotres of myth (Georges Sorel), and the intelligence is applied everywhere. It is applied to pedagogy -- Rollin, Jules Ferry. It is applied, possibly overapplied, even to the act of going to the movies, so that the silver screen first comes to be analyzed by Georges Sadoul and then by the respectful solemnities of the Cahiers du Cinema, and everywhere there is, or at least is supposed to be, the application of intelligence.

And here come a group of True Believers who happen to have been allowed to settle within the confines of that France of the Intelligence and Reason, perhaps a bit too reasonable, and a bit too worshipful of a certain kind of abstract intelligence, for its own good, and these people apparently need to engage in a pilgrimage where they will join millions of other excitable pilgrims, who believe in djinns, and that an self-confessed illiterate, a man named Muhammad, back in early seventh century Arabia had a text dictated intermittently over 23 years to him by the Angel Gabriel, and that this text, which the True Believer thinks contains all of human wisdom, and is a guide for everything, a Total Regulation of daily life, and a Complete Explanation of the Universe (with every scientific advance already contained within that farseeing, all-encompassing Qur'an) (compare and contrast with "Variety") must always and everywhere be followed, supplemented only by sayings and doings and even the silences of that same Model for All Mankind, Muhammad.

So here we are, in a France so rational that the mere giving an address becomes an act of supplying your Cartesian "coordinates," and the government, the anti-clerical aggressively laic state of France, finds itself using government funds to help those Muslims now in its midst to make their way to the malevolent kingdom of Saudi Arabia, now the Guardian of the Two Holy Places, to stone that pillar, to shout those imprecations, to find companionship in the vast politico-geopolitico-religious solidarity of millions of fellow worshippers from the umma al-Islamiyya, as they circumambulate seven times widdershins the black cube within which is contained one example (there are others in Arabia) of a meteorite, the Magic Wonderstone, the worship of which of course predates Islam and originates with the practices of pagan Arabs.

What was the title of Finkielkraut's book? "La defaite de la pensee." The Defeat of Thought. He was writing about the Idols of the Age, all of which are by now too obvious to list here, and all of which constitute an assault on intelligence and the very idea of varying levels of intellectual merit.

But that defeat was just a warm-up. Now Islam will come and finish off Western Europe, if there is no awakening in time. It will happen.

And how.

"The five-page guide contains key advice for the pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia, like avoiding deadly stampedes."

Has the Running of the Bulls moved from Spain to Saudi Arabia?

The "Running of the Muslims" in Saudi Arabia is worse than being being run over by a pack of Bulls on the streets.

I hope Jean-Francois Revel is packing his bags.

"Clearly, a civilization that feels guilty for everything it is and does will lack the energy and conviction to defend itself."

-- Jean-Francois Revel

I am amazed that a supposedly secular country pays such attention to one religion for fear of being attacked - otherwise where are the "guides" for visitors to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, or to Fatima, Lourdes, Benares, Buddhagaya etc. Shame on you French Dhimmies,
Sucking up, did not help this summer with the Paris riots, then again they were not Mohammedans but dissatisfied north African youths just shouting "Allahu Akbar" while setting fire to property and cars to bring a bad name on the "Religion of Peace". We get it now.

Do not despair dear Americans ! Let me inform you that according to a poll this week, 70 % of the French think that "there are too many immigrants in France" (Muslim ones, of course, although not specified in the poll !). Same number think that "the French values are not defended enough"... a fair amount of them is going to vote for extreme right in 2007 (25 % ? more ?). Extreme right, in the French context, meaning "not communist, not pro islamic" and "fed up with all that nonsense" more than "racist" etc.
Don't imagine that the French ppl do not care. They do. We will show it in 2007 (as we did in 2002 but alas, Chirac was not the solution !). People are fed up with their fucked up media and socialist / coward government. Only "1 %" of the people wish that Chirac presents himself for a third mandate ! 1 % !!!

French ppl would just be mad of anger if they knew their money goes to the Mecca journey. But they do NOT know it ! No newspaper to tell that story (no, it would make ppl too angry !)And anyway, if anybody dared state it, they would be called "racist". Yes it has become "racist", in France, to state a reality.

We need a good, objective, informative, clever press, rather than the propaganda we have at the moment. We need to change the goverment and it will happen in 2007.

Seems that everywhere in Europe, same phenomenon is happening: coward pro islamic governments, and angry people not approving.

France is going to wake up. I can feel it in the air !

History repeats itself from 65 years ago. France under Chirac has now assumed the role of a new Vichy regime, this time to Riyadh instead of Berlin.

La Pauvre France. She expelled her Huguenots in 1687; so now her assault on Scriptural Christians is repaid with a growing and violent Muslim minority.

Hope so Joiesavauge. Isn't extreme right LePen? Things may be changing in France. I hope to read the French immigrant invasion novel Camp of the Saints in the new year. I've read several excellent reviews of it. That's probably a hot ticket in France too, or is it banned?

Even if half and not 25% percent of the French people woke up, what can they do? The Muslim demographic bomb can not be disabled; it can only be delayed. The only strategy that can save France fits more with the Third Reich than the Fifth Republic, which makes it impossible that France, or any other country for that matter that has a liberal dhimmi government, to save itself from Islamic domination. History gives us no other successful model in which the Jihad is utterly defeated other than by employing the most violent means available to man. Also, half measures, incomplete victories, failure to eradicate the local Muslim population after a reconquest by either expulsion or reconversion have always led to reappearance of more heads of Jihad Hydra to haunt those who did not deal with their Muslim population once and for all-time.

The mother of a very dear friend is French and she returns to France every summer to visit relatives and escape our oppressive heat. I saw her last week and she is very, very worried about the situation at home. Until this year she was not too concerned about the muslims, but now that's all she talks about, with intense animosity. According to her, everyone loathes them because they are loathesome!

She is just one person who only spends a few months each year in France but according to her, the muslims used to be "invisible" (her words; her English is not perfect and my French is worse than her English). She said that the older immigrants were not a problem but their children and grandchildren are incorrigible. They refuse to attend French schools beyond the French equivalent of middle school, are largely illiterate, have no ambition or skills, and are unemployable. They are not religious per se, but have heard enough radical Islamic rhetoric to believe that they are "oppressed" and that the French people owe them a decent standard of living in return for absolutely nothing.

From what she says, young males between 14 and 25 join gangs and sell drugs, steal cars, rob shops, and terrorize their own housing projects, esp. young women who don't wear scarves or "lower their gaze." There are gang rapes, murders, honor killings, rampant vandalism. The big difference she sees now is that these gangs of young men are venturing out and can be seen everywhere, whereas they used to stay close to home in their own neighborhoods. People are afraid of them, they harrass everyone, pick pockets, intimidate old and young ladies alike, and generally make a nuisance of themselves, esp. on public transportation.

She says that the French people are fed up with muslim immigrants, they despise them and always have, they detest Chirac and want him out, but they cannot voice their dissatisfaction and concerns because they would be arrested for "racism." I don't know about the average French citizen, but this lady, who has lived in the U.S. for at least forty-five years, is not the least bit shy about expressing her contempt for certain groups of people. The French people are very resentful of the welfare and housing benefits these immigrants receive; their ability to defy the laws with impunity; their special privileges; but most of all, the continuous influx of new muslim immigrants who are nothing but a burden on society. Unemployment is high in France already and many French citizens are out of work. It is a very peculiar situation, but apparently there is no limit to the number of muslims France is willing to take in and support.

To sum it up from her perspective, the younger generation of muslims in France are illiterate, unskilled, will not work menial jobs and refuse to become educated. So there is absolutely no solution to the problem they present short of locking them all up and that's not going to happen. She predicts that they will begin burning large French cities next; schools, museums, government offices, banks, synagogues, churches, homes, apartment buildings. When the prized cultural institutions and tourist attractions are threatened, the French version of our SWAT teams will respond, and they will kill these thugs if they have to. Then the s*it will really hit the fan. She says she might not go to France next summer, and she has never missed a year.

It is nice of the USC to dispell some myths, like islam is not the ROP!

Also not democratic, etc, etc

The noble religion whose values are our (eu) values surely wouldn't rip pilgrims off?

"We join them in celebrating the values of Islamic civilisation"

anyway france is not islamic because it gives guides on how to avoid stampedes!!!!

How completely this shows that our values are not their values.

Well, you see, in 1988 one hundred iranian's were killed in a stampede in the mecca tunnel.

Apparently, according to the civilisation of Islam, they would all have died at the same time where ever they were in the world: It just so happened that they happened to be in this tunnel at the same time! This was the official response of the saudi government.

come on and celebrate with the fco.

Joiesavauge,

Do like hearing of the people of France beginning to awake. I have high hopes for them, my worry for France is being able to wait until 2007 for the people to speak up at the vote.

Looking to have France overcome all and grow stronger in 2007..

joiesauvage

Thanks for some on-the-street analysis. But the European elites have no intention of abandoning their Eurabian misadventure from what I've seen and heard. As you say, the media in Europe is a big problem. I've been watching it for years. The French government is more worried about "Polish plumbers" than jihadis burning cars every night.

Where is Lord Jim when you need him?

Well having being called a 'danger to France' and a 'racist bigot' for the umpteenth time at a fancy dress party last week, where I dressed up as a coran waving jihadist, I can say that we are not even close to starting to deal with this problem.

While Bat Ye'or, whose problems in finding a French publisher for the 'Eurabia' translation, seem to resolving themsleves, there is no easy to market a book in a country where journalists and writers are hounded just for whispering the truth.

Last Thursday night, at the Gare Montparnasse in Paris, the police turned out in force to prevent a charity soup kitchen from feeding the homeless.

The reason: They were distributing pork soup.

The orders for the Police Aktion came direct from the Paris Prefecture.

The link to this amazing story of dhimmitude is here http://www.association-sdf.com/action_15_12_2005.html

Should Robert require a translation, please let me know, and I'll be happy to oblige

Susanp;

"..cannot voice their dissatisfaction....fear of being arrested for racism..."

A totalitarian mentality in the finest tradition, no?

Speak against the official party line and they come for you in the night.

We will make you a good person even if it kills you. WE know whats best. WE'LL tell you what to think.

An old whore in a new dress.

Sebastian-

How did the authorities find out and order the police to shut the operation down? And on what grounds - "deliberate provocation" because the sans domiciles fixes presumably include Musims and this is, therefore, a charitable act that discriminates? Can't people give out whatever they wish to those in need, to those willing tot receive it? Had they been dishing out mourishing plates of boeuf bourguignon, would they have been prevented from doing so, and their food confiscated or thrown on the ground by the ever-vigilant police, because the beef in the dish would not meet the needs of vegetarians and to Hindus, and the wine would be dangerous for those trying to stay off alcohol?

Now acts of charity are to be regulated? Fine. Let's regulate the acts of charity from the mosques -- to whom do Muslims offer their zakat? Muslims only, you see. Police! Au secours!

Hugh

I have no idea how the police found out about this, but the SDF-Association will be distributing a 'special Christmas soup' at a mystery location this coming Thursday night.

If I find out where it is, I'll check it out.

I have no doubt the French authorities are now completely on the dark side. The webmaster of the satirical www.musulmanesonline.com was taken to court and fined 17 000 €. He was sued not by the anti-racist organisations, but by the State Prosecutor.

Iran's chest thumping hardly merits a glance from the authorities and the movie 'Belzec', recently made by Guillaume Moscovitz was shown in only one Paris theatre. And there was no poster outside, advertising the movie.

Can you imagine that watching a movie about 600,000 jews killed within a 300 sq metre patch of Poland is now being shown to embarrassed viewers, as if they were in a 70s porno theatre?

Bat Ye'or's 'Eurabia' is due out in April, but there is still no guarantee it will be published.

Susanp and joiesauvage,

Thank you for your important contributions.

You too,Sebastien.

joiesauvage and other French readers,

I'm glad to hear that it isn't as bad as it looks
there.

Remember, nothing is "unthinkable". Too many Muslims? Kick them out! Hugh keeps mentioning the
Benes Decree as a model. That's fine, but
remember, it's your survival. NOTHING is
unthinkable. Do what you must to save yourselves.
Do you think the Muslims will think twice about
killing and raping and torturing when they become
strong enough there? Do they think twice when
other Muslims are the victims?

Good luck and God bless.

SusanP :
I confirm everything which is in your post. I could not have said it better.

"She says she might not go to France next summer, and she has never missed a year". Well... let us not exaggerate. One will still be able to live in France safely in one year ! Don't be so impatient... just wait a little longer...

Have-Mercy:
you are unfortunately right.

Sébastien :
lol, tu n'as peur de rien... mais nous commençons à être beaucoup à nous faire traiter de "racistes". Quant à la nouvelle delanoëterie que tu mentionnes, elle ne m'étonne guère.

"VIVE LA FRANCE" is a racist statement !

Beagle:
"But the European elites have no intention of abandoning their Eurabian misadventure from what I've seen and heard".
Beagle, we will not give them the choice. They will understand some stuff when extreme right is elected.

American: thanx !

Joiesauvage -- you might wish to read "Douce France" either in the Articles listed at JihadWatch (click on "articles") or simply google "Posted by Hugh" and "Jihad Watch" and "Douce France," or just google "Douce France" and click on the link just below Trenet.

It is worrying to see that the only solution to the fall of Europe is the widespread voting in of nationalist parties. i.e FN, BNP.

However in a time of war survival is the most important thing.

Joiesauvage you have difficult choices to make and the voting in of those parties is just the beginning. For once they are in you will have the unenviable task of of cleaning the slime out.

I enjoyed your posts though, keep us upto date from the front lines.

Vive la France, Rule Britannia.

Lets get this thing started.

Hugh.... you want to make me more depressed than I already am ?
I read your post. Very good. You seem to know France well. I come from the world you describe: Polytechnique (with a "Y" please !... but if you want to sound very smart, say "l'X" when you talk about this school, the best in France, as "X" is its smart nickname for the few who know), khâgne, Marie-Alix, Ile de Ré, sailing in Bretagne.... I love French culture but as I am civlised, I also admire other cultures, for instance the American culture (and values).
People dont realise what is going on. The only ones who know are those who have a difficult life: they live in the suburbs, earn the minimal wage, and cannot go out on night for fear of being aggressed. They have become racist and I would not be arrogant and unfair enough to blame them.
The privileged people live in nice areas of Paris, are left wing, and find it quite smart to be pro Islam and anti American. They are graduated from the best schools and love travelling to Morroco. We call them the "bobo", meaning "bourgeois bohème"....
In the polls, those ppl are classified in the "intellectual professions". But let me tell you that they have nothing of "intellectuals", not more than the journalists of "Le Monde", or Bernard Henri Levy. Those ppl are mediocre. A real elite exists, but it is too confidential to be listened to. I know some ppl of the "real elite". I know they exist. When they speak up, they are violently ostracised.
Cf. the story of this French mathematician, Laurent Lafforgue, who was recently appointed by Chirac in another silly "Commission" to "think about what can be done for education" (because as you stated, education in France is in a catastrophic state). Lafforgue, a bright mathematician and a fine writer, pure product of the French "méritocratie", dared write to the National Education people what everybody knows: the French education is in a catastrophic state. He was fired the day after.

If you can read French you'd be interested to know about this amazing story. Read the email Lafforgue wrote to the National Education communist trade unionists, it is worth it:

http://www.ihes.fr/%7elafforgue/demission.html

http://www.ihes.fr/%7elafforgue/dem/courriel.html

He wrote to them: "you are asking me to take you experts of the Education Nationale in the Commission to think over ways of making education better... for me, it is as if one was asking the Red Khmers to think over what the human rights should be !"

National Education firing the only clever guy they got in their "comité de réflexion"... how symbolic.

Lafforgue is part of the real elite. The real, pure, traditionnal French elite, the elite which built France, the Tocqueville, Cournot, Marie Curie, Poincaré, Hugo, Molière kind of elite... or even, recently, our Coluche. I can tell you for sure that if the genial Coluche was still alive, French history would take another way. For Coluche would never stand all this nonsense.

French new motto seems to be:

DESTROY ALL UIO !!! (unidentified intelligent object).

+ in answer to your post, ovidius_naso had written:

"I've come to realize France, thru fashionable yet disingenious, crooked intellectual enterprises, has deconstructed herself to death. France's 20th century intellectual thugs, i.e. Lacan and Foucault and Derrida and Baudrillard and Deleuze, and Irigaray, and all those other degreed conartists exposed by physicist Allan Sokal, and all of their American copy-cats and profiteers, like Stanley Fish and hordes of pushers/manadarins and slaves in the cultural studies industry, are morally responsible for what's happening in the world today".

ovidius_naso got it all ! Suffice to attend any lecture of "sociology" to understand it... the Great Vacuum Cleaner of Thought !

Anyway Hugh, thank you so much for the job you do here on Jihad Watch.

I wonder if it is the US which will, once again, get us out of trouble ?

Hugh, Lafforgue recently said, in an interview (talking about France and its high standards of education):

"J’ai l’impression que le monde que j’ai aimé est en voie de destruction complète".
(I have the feeling that the world I have loved is on a way of total destruction).

I have the same feeling.

Lafforgue is quite young, not even 40 I think. I am 30.

Education has a direct link to Jihad. As a matter of fact, people who are ignorant are more likely to be brainwashed. They go to the public schools where nothing makes sense, and then, they watch TV. Even History is re-written (France is guilty of everything, colonisation was only negative, etc.)

Today, some people who enter university can hardly read or write. Within 20 years, the level has dramatically dropped. France was one of the best countries, it has become average. The students dont make sense when they write. They are unable to articulate a thought. Same for science. The way mathematics are taught does not make sense anymore.

There is a so called epidemy of "dyslexia".... kids are unable to read... when they bring the kids to the doctors, the doctors realise that the kids are perfectly normal but that... the books they study in don't make sense !

Some teachers are PUNISHED when they try to use other methods than the ones the over powerful "Education Nationale" is imposing on them !

If the French people cannot count or read anymore, then indeed, Lafforgue is right to get a little bit nervous....

This is a subject dear to my heart: the decline of education, all over the Western -- all over the advanced -- world.

I read the Lafforgue; I printed out the 15 pages of text, and I will go to all the other links. It makes me sick.

Of course they are related: the crazed policies, the failure to stop the islamization of Europe, the failure to appreciate one's own cultural or civilizational legacy because one has been ill-taught or is distracted. Tout se tient. That applies all over the Western world.

Meanwhile, if you can think of a way on French websites to post "Douce France" so that it gets some exposure (and possibly brings some more French visitors to JW) I would be grateful.

If you send Robert your email address, I will send something related to, a kind of follow-up upon, "Douce France."

No problem, I am going to post your text on a French blog (France-Echo)...

If you want to sign the petition to support Lafforgue, just click on the link:

http://www.re2.freesurf.fr/Actions/demll.html

I have just surfed the net and there are many sites which relate what happened to Lafforgue. So many French people inform each other through the net despite the media silence.

The French people will react. 2007...

also I am going to post your text on the very clever "liberty voice" French blog.

http://www.libertyvox.com/

Thank you. Part I and Part II (see original post) may possibly appear together, in a different format.

France is still ahead of India which subsidizes muslims for Hajj pilgrimages.

Ever since Bandung, Americans have had a right, to be disturbed, and annoyed, at the holier-than-thou pro-Soviet preaching coming out of India's leaders. But one now misses Jawaharlal Nehru and even that confirmed anti-American Marxist Krishna Menon, because for all their faults (and Menon was much worse than Nehru) they had a much better grasp of what Islam did to India, being well-educated, and appeared more willing to write about the consequences of the Muslim conquest than some of the tongue-tied centrist leaders in the Congress Party today, so eager to score points against the "bigots" -- as they have been so easily painted for outside consumption -- in the BJP. If I have misremembered Nehru and Menon, and someone can set me straight, please do.

I'm sure this gesture will begin softening the hardened Muslim hearts towards Mother France!

One way tickets to SA would be a nice next step -- I'd be happy to foot the bill for this species of Dhimmitudinousness...
