The State Security Forces are on maximum alert. According to today’s El Mundo newspaper, the recent detention of men who are alleged to be linked to Al Qaeda and who were trying to exchange drugs for Goma 2 explosives, could have been related to what the Spanish Secret Service, the CNI, believe are two sleeping Islamist cells based in Logroño and Vitoria.The security services think the groups could be merely waiting for instructions. The security services have called for a planned Islamic Centre not to be built in La Rioja.
It will be interesting to see if that call is heeded.

There are terror cells all over the West, even in the United States. And you know what fuels them? The Islamic radicals that live in the West. Having done firsthand research on Islamic culture inside American mosques, I can testify to the presence of fundamentalists even in American mosques. He was so pro-Arab that he sent envoys to one of the first Arab League meetings, in 1945 or 1946, I believe. They were accepted at the meeting as observers. Later, Nasser visited Franco and Spain at the UN was very pro-Arab and anti-Israel, meanwhle, certain veteran Nazis, like Otto Skorzeny, lived in Spain and made money selling Spanish weapons to the Arabs, etc.
Then the post-Franco, "democratic" govts took over. They continued Franco's pro-Arab policy, although now the justifications for the policy were democratic. Now look at how Spain has been rewarded: 3/11 might be seen as a mercifully minor attack by some Islamists, after all, they could have done much worse. Another reward is that Spain is openly considered part of dar al-Islam unjustly taken away from the Muslims by kufar aggression. As part of dar al-Islam, al-Andalus must be restored to the Ummah. Perhaps Senor Zapatero should learn something about Islam, about the dhimma concept, about jihad, taqiyya, etc. If he cannot or will not learn these things, then he should go back to his zapatos [shoes].
