FRENCH prosecutors got their hands on one of their most wanted terrorist suspects after ten years when Britain extradited Rachid Ramda to Paris last night.Mr Ramda, 35, who is accused of masterminding a series of bombings on the Paris Métro in 1995, was flown to Le Bourget airport and handed over to waiting police. He was due to appear in court last night.
The protracted legal battle in Britain over Mr Ramda’s fate had strained relations between the two governments, with security chiefs in Paris accusing Britain of being a haven for Islamic militants....He is the first terror suspect Britain has handed over since the September 11 attacks, despite pledges by Tony Blair to speed up extraditions.

it is good to see this type of aggression from France finally, maybe they have had enough of being a catalyst for terrorism and are ready to make a stand before their country is burned to the ground by throving mobs mooslums.

I was on LGF about the LAX story and there is a "find a local mosque" site. I entered a zip for that county and, wow, there pages of mosques there and in DC. Are these people who checked out the books and are reading them or who aren't returning them so others can't read it? You should ask. I know someone who moved to that county and was dating a muslim. It concerns me that it's called northern virginiastan.

Question~ at the find your local mosque site I looked just to see if any are nearby, (after the shock of looking at northern Virginia ((thanks WatchfulEye))), imagine my surprise. My NEIGHBOR has a "school" listed at his address. It's a big house but there is no way it could be a school. Unless it's just a homeschool setup. So what should I look into? Is it possible they are just using the address but the "school" is elsewhere? Could it be some sort of tax fraud? I've never noticed comings and goings but then I wasn't watching. Any suggestions?

Look into it, and then if you find something is not quite right, report your findings to the state and federal tax authorities (re the "school's" possibly tax-exempt status) and to the local zoning board, if a school is, without authorization, being run in a residential area. And of course inform the local police and the FBI. And check and make sure that they don't just politely take down the information, and do nothing with it. Find out what it's all about.
l think in the next few years, there will be many more terrorist handed over between countries..
Better late than never. Its the legal system that allows various appeals. It needs to be changed where terror suspects are concerned. They should not have automatic appeal process to delay their extradition. If they are terrorists they have given up their rights.

I have a few friends in low places who are quite familiar with French jails, it’s not exactly the former penal system the Frenchies ran in La Guyane Francais, but it sure sucks. Rot in hell bastard. Freddie Forsyth was lamenting about this case in this week's "International Express"(A friend’s copy, honestly) He’ll be jumping for joy at this news; I really wish he would pump out a new novel.
I'll offer a different take. To me, this just seems like a final appeal for France and Britain to show that they are not putting up with islamic terrorists. But in actuality, they have already given in, and they're just showing the world that they are not dhimmis, although this is a poor job. When I first seen the headline say "after 10 years", the first thing I thought was "what took so long?" This almost seems like they're poking fun at islamic terrorism, and dealing with the perpetrators. But I don't know. Maybe I'm just getting too pesimistic about the whole situation. Of course, with most of the world giving in to the islamists, it's almost hard not to. Europe, Russia (at least in part), China, of course the Middle East. Although I must say, China doesn't seem to care, probably due to the fact that they don't have to deal with islamism. And I think, at least right now, muslims are dumb enough to try to go after China. But either way, China's pissing me off about their dealings with Iran especially. Anyway, I feel like I'm rambling now.
Someone posted a remark to the effect that Europe ( Inc Great Britain) would today be unwilling or incapable of defending itself against the onslaught of Nazism. I now believe it is true. Reams of text can be written about the causes of this degeneration of the European psyche and books may have already been written on this vital subject.
All societies and cultures change continually and it is a mistake as many do,. to believe that democratic countries are by virtue of their inherant beliefs in human rights and freedom , exempt from descending into decadence and chaos.
The main reason that Great Britain would surely capitulate today faced with Nazism is that it is far more morally decadent than it was back in the thirties.

Aspiration to excellence in scholastic fields are dismissed as elitism , Rap singers are held to be equal to opera singers who have spent years training and graffiti "artists" are surely the equals of Turner.
Israel, the only country that maintains a democracy in the ME and is continually fighting for its survival against Islamic Jihad, is continually demonized and all is done to prevent it from defending itself from annihilation. All the troubles of Europe are heaped upon it as has been the case against the Jews for two millennia.

Trust me matey, When the situation becomes desperate you'll have a lot of people from the North of England who'll stand up for what this country used to believe in.
You'll hear it in every pub up here. It just takes a crisis for the English to forget what the government says and go their own way. The government soon catches up.
