UN Ceremony Includes Map of ´Palestine´ in Place of Israel

Kofi was there and does not seem to have uttered a word of protest. Photos at the INN site. From Israel National News, with thanks to Mo Goldberg:

The United Nations held a "Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" last week. A large map of “Palestine,” with Israel literally wiped off the map, featured prominently in the festivities.

The ceremony was held at the UN headquarters in New York and was attended by Secretary General Kofi Annan and the Presidents of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly.

Map of "Palestine" from the Jordan River to the sea, with no mention of the Jewish State.

During the festivities, a map labeled a "map of Palestine” was displayed prominently between UN and PLO flags. The map, with “Palestine” written in Arabic atop it, does not include Israel, a member of the UN for 56 years. The map does not even demarcate the partition lines of November 29, 1947, marking a Jewish state alongside an Arab state. The partition was dictated by the UN General Assembly itself.

Map surrounded by the flags of the UN and PLO.

With the map hanging behind him, Secretary-General Annan addressed the public meeting at UN Headquarters.

The UN is worse than the League of Nations. At least the League didn't pretend to be relevent, significant and effective. The UN thinks it is.

The League of Nations was not a mess in the 1920s. It became a mess when, in the 1930s, it could not handle Mussolini, or Hitler, and failed. The U.N. was not originally a mess when founded, with such tutelary spirits as Rene Cassin and Eleanor Roosevelt. It became a mess, sometime after Bandung, when more and more "countries" that were primitive despotisms, became members, and the only two blocs that came to matter where first, the Soviet bloc (where Ukraine and Byelorussia also had votes) of the captive or subjugated (by Communism, backed up by the Red Army) nations of Eastern and Central Europe, and the Arab bloc which in turn manipulated and directed a larger Musliim bloc, and that Muslim bloc bullied or threatened, or inveigled even non-Muslim states (such as those of black Africa after the Six-Day War) into doing the Muslim bidding, under the guise of fake "third-world" solidarity (thus did the fabulously rich plutocrats of Arabia present themselves, dripping with gold, as representatives of the "Third-World" -- a Halloween joke, a Ballo-in-Maschera fantasia).

The Soviet bloc is gone. The Arabs, the Muslims, the Islamintern international, controls levers and fills the lunchrooms and the corridors of power everywhere at the U.N., and at its constitutent organizations world-wide. How else does the matter of "Palestine" fill up one-third of th etime of the U.N.? How is that the behavior of tiny Israel has become the Central Question of the Age, while the Jihad is pursued in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines, Kashmir, the Sudan, the Balkans, Central Asia, West Africa, everywhere, everywhere, without a single resolution denouncing that Jihad, denouncing even within Islam the Arab supremacist ideology, the Arab imperialism, that lies behind and under and beside the vehicle of Islam and islamization?

Once upon a time the idea of a "League of Free States" was envisioned. Now what we get is something that does not exist, but that those who invoke help to muddy their own thinking, and that of their audiences -- the notion of an "Internatial Community." It doesn't exist. There is no "community" which contains both Iceland and Libya, Italy and Saudi Arabia, the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. These are our enemies; they wish us ill, they do not wish us well. Infidels and Believers cannot -- according to Islam itself, according to everything about Islam -- form a community. There is only the umma al-islamiyya, the Community of Believers. All others must be kept at bay, inveigled, fooled, undermined, ultimately conquered, ultimately subjugated. No other possible outcome, according to what is contained in Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira, is possible.

The phrase "international community" is a telling phrase. Those who use it are telling us something about themselves. And what they are telling us isn't flattering.

The peace activists should be warned to stop ripping off the Iranian President's ideas... he might sue for royalties!

It amazing, no matter how many millions of Muslims are gang raped or killed in Sudan, and no matter how many Muslims are burned alive with acid in Pakistan, peace activists will only have time to care about the tiny percentage of Muslims who are fighting the Jews.

And yet, no matter how hard you try to convince them, the peace activists are absolutely certain they are not anti-Semitic. They really think that they care about all human beings (and Muslims) equally!

If I was a girl in Darfur, I would pray to g-d that Israel invades Sudan just so peace activists care enough to stop the Janjaweed from "rapping the black out of her".

The problem with the League and the UN is that they both focus too much on peace. Yes, peace is a good thing, and yes, it is the ultimate goal. But they think that peace is just something that happens. It is not. Peace does not create itself; peace is created by force.

...

I'm implying that the UN should follow the US' lead and go kick some theocratic butt.

From an irrelevant, useles, and mildly annoying farce, the U.N. has now become a collaborator with Islamofascist terrorism. This organization is as dangerous to American interests and national security as CAIR and all the various Islamic "charity" organizations.

Bolton needs to raise a stink about the palestine map b.s...just as he has here:

U.S. Blasts Security Council for Failing to Condemn Terror Attack in Israel
By Peter Heinlein
United Nations
07 December 2005

Washington's ambassador to the United Nations has criticized the Security Council for failing to condemn the latest terrorist attack in Israel.

The envoy singled out Algeria for blocking a U.S. drafted statement.

Too late now that the EU and Canada have committed themselves to Islam. I mean, what would it be, a worldwide league of the USA and Iceland?

And don't ANYBODY dare tell me that Iceland too is loading up on the Moslems. The bad news about Ireland and New Zealand was tough enough for my emotions to handle.

After many years of believing that the UN could be reformed and was worth saving, I have now come to the conclusion that this is impossible. We must cease funding this organization, withdraw, and boot them out of NYC.

The UN is no longer an organization that promotes world peace, but an organization of corruption and despotism. From the oil for food fiasco, to appointing Lybia as head of the human rights commission, to this latest map incident, it is clear that the UN is working against our national interest and should go the way of the League of Nations.

I have to give a "shout out" to Kofi Annan for letting the freak flags fly...

Could these guys possibly make it any clearer who our enemies are? We need to keep our tax and investment dollars from reaching the entirety of the Islamic world. This would prevent them from holding sway over most of the rest of the third world through cheaply bought fealty, petrodollars, oil grants, the threat of Islamic terrorism, and all manner of strong-arm tactis which they use to get what they want.

The UN is simply a tool -- and the Muslims are doing a better job of exploiting it to suit their dark nefarious ends. I don't want to see the UN dismantled quite yet. I'd prefer we did a better job of making it serve our dark nefarious ends.

Hear! Hear, GFB! Out with the UN! For the sake of peace!

Kofi the kook is more worried about cartoons of the slasher Muhammad than he is about Islam's genocidal tendencies. He is a pig.

If this isn't proof that the UN is pro-islamism, and anti-israel, I don't know what is. This should be enough to convince even the hardcore liberal that something is amiss with the UN. But alas, I bet most won't even pay it any more than a passing glance.

Bolton Says Palestinian Resolutions Demonstrate UN Irrelevance
Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Ambassador John Bolton said the United Nations General Assembly demonstrated its irrelevance today by adopting six resolutions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including non-binding calls for Israel to withdraw from the West Bank and Golan Heights.

The General Assembly, consisting of all 191 member governments, passed resolutions very similar to measures introduced annually by Arab nations for at least 30 years. The U.S. was joined by no more than seven other nations in rejecting the resolutions, which won up to 160 votes.

160 vrs. 7, i.e.

This has certainly been a disheartening week with all this crap going on.

From a 2002 article at christianactionforisrael.org (great site BTW):

UN planned state of Israel as a still-birth

"U.N.’S VOTING HISTORY AGAINST ISRAEL
Security Council: 175 total resolutions –– 74 neutral; 4 against perceived interests of Arab state or entity, 97 against Israel.

General Assembly: Cumulative number of votes cast with or for Israel: 7,938 - Against Israel: 55,642. Since it first convened in 1946, at least one Arab state sat on the 9 country Security Council in 39 of its first 43 years. Israel never sat on the Security Council. [In June 2002 Syria who is still listed on the U.S. State Department as a Terrorist State, was voted in as Head of the Security Council.] The Security Council "condemned", "censured", "deplored", "strongly deplored", etc. Israel 49 times; the Arabs: Zero. The Security Council passed 131 Resolutions: 43 or 33% were neutral; 88 criticized or opposed or judged against Israel. Zero critical of Arab state, body or the PLO (founded by the Arab League in 1964).

The General Assembly passed 429 Resolutions against Israel’’s desires (62%); only 56 against Arab desires (8%). the General Assembly "condemned", "vigorously condemned", "strongly condemned", "deplored", "strongly deplored", censured"", "denounced" Israel 321 times –– the Arabs Zero condemnations. (1) This record demonstrates the extreme bias of this body of nations and their unremitting efforts to assist the Arab nations in eliminating Israel."

http://www.veteransforpeace.org/ I just found so many tears at this address and I think they maybe searching for a Left hand prayer rug to hide under a PC deal with UN evils.

This is a joke, right? How I would dearly love to roust out the jokers at the U.N. and send them packing, unpaid parking tickets and all.

It's time to create a global "Alliance of Democratic States"...a political, economic and security alliance of Democratic countries based on collective security, economic free-trade, the rule of law, intellectual freedom and gender equality.

Gradually, this body could transcend the UN and render that body obsolete. Membership would be contingent on adherence to the above criteria, thus acting as an impetus for countries throughout the world to reform their societies.

Bush missed his opportunity to sink Kofi after the Oil-for-food scandal, especially with his son wrapped up in it. Sometimes I wonder if Bush's Christian virtue gets in the way of kicking ass when the time calls for it.

The US pays approx. 20% of the UN's bills. It should withdraw from the UN, kick the shmucks out of the East Side, and let Trump put up some condos. If the the Third Worlders are unhappy, go meet in Cuba.

A new federation of Democratic nations should be formed. Dissolve NATO. Let socialist Europe come begging for help when they're in their death-throes from Islam. The US, India, Israel, some newly democratic eastern bloc nations, as well as Australia, Italy, Turkey and select South American nations should unite.

Drill in ANWR, screw Mexico, Peru and the OPEC, and pull our factories out of China. Invest in India, Taiwan, Russia (with conditions) and Korea, and let the Muslim oil money and terrorism dry up.

The United Nations: 160 cannibals and 17 civilized people taking a majority vote on what's for dinner. http://www.omdurman.org/leaflets/un_vote.html. (This is based on the 160 to 17 vote to put Syria on the Security Council.)

I can not believe that my wonderful country (Canada) has abstained from this. What a pussy government we have. I'm deeply ashamed.

"Convinced that achieving a final and peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine –- the core of the Arab-Israeli conflict –- was the key to stability in the Middle East, the Assembly adopted, by vote of 156 in favour to 6 against (Australia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, United States), with 9 abstentions (Cameroon, Canada, Costa Rica, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu), a text stressing the need for Israel’s withdrawal from the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967."

If the Liberals win our upcoming elections, U.S. please take us over. We will both be stronger together. You can force us to toss out our islamists, we have much land, water, etc. Please don't leave us to a slow painful death of liberalism.

If we elect the liberals again, then we obviously should not be left in control of any country.

The UN deserves nothing less than scrapping for this outrage.

Did Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad create this map?

If so, then this is about as close as he will get to wiping Israel off the map. Iran won't defeat Israel in a military battle.

A.G. Frederick III: " Peace does not create itself; peace is created by force.

...

I'm implying that the UN should follow the US' lead and go kick some theocratic butt. "

A.G.- I think that you are a bit too optimistic.

The UN is a "paper tiger" and has no real militiary teeth.

Good luck in motivating the UN to take any real military action. There is really no such thing as the United Nations. This is a myth. Truthfully, there are clusters of nations operating within the United Nations - each with their own agenda- and most of them won't rally around the U.S. when it comes to military action.

Like i've been saying??

Familyfirst:

USA take over Canada? Who are you trying to kid? We learned a lesson back in 1812-15. Not that I have anything against Canadians (one of my grandfathers was born in Ontario), but why the hassle of occupying a place with a very different national mythos when cooperation across the Great Lakes and Line 49 is already a given.

But, given the ease of tourism, come down for a sympathetic chat and cup of tea; seminars on political organization; etc.

As for the UN, it was conceived according to Kant's vision in _Perpetual Peace_, but was flawed at the outset by the inclusion of Stalin's USSR and the compromise that allowed the seating of Belarus and Ukraine (rather than all fifteen Union Republics of the USSR)when they had less internal autonomy than an American state or Canadian province. The organization is clearly a case of anti-democratic states using a democratic constitution to undermine international democracy.

Still, for my money, the UN is fine as a clearinghouse for international disputes and a forum where things can be talked out rather than having them duked out on battlefields. But, as a quasi-world government, I agree with all who think it is an abomination. In this, I simply echo the late Barry Goldwater of Arizona.

The moral Bankrupcy of the UN is of course paralleled in much of the western world.
This admirable site has not only taught us the minutiae of the horrific dangers of Islam but it has also shown us the depths of degeneration to which our once proud democracies have fallen to.
And that is a lesson as important as the awakening to the aims of islam for the western world and the worlds of darkness that would accompany it.
I perhaps naive like many others, held on to the belief that democracy by virtue of its belief in the human spirit and freedom and justice for all, was invicible. That such fine social fabric so appealing to all thimking people , would always triumph against totalitarianism and despotism. Was this not what all humans aspired too. The rights to self determination, equality and freedom?
Even Spielberg, one of my heroes for his movies on black oppression, Holocaust survival and its documentation to avert the efforts of those who would assasinate its history, seems now to have adopted the AMORALity of secular leftist thinking which has swept through our universities, media and politics.
Although, i have not seen Munich, its message is said to be that The hunting down of the terrorists was wrong because they had families, children and were after all human beings like the rest of us and therefore he humanises them.

Of course Hitler was a family man, who loved spending time with the Wagner family. Does that make his horrendeous crimes more acceptable?
The refusal to condemn terror and instead focus on those who seek them out as perpetrators of "cyles of violence" is morally corrupt and indicates whet we see in the UN. A refusal to distinguish between right and wrong. And this is indeed one of the teltale signs of a corrupt society.
Of course there is no such thing as "cycle of violence". It is merely a term invented by those who wish to excuse or promote terrorism.
There is reponse to terrorism and there is no evidence to support that such response enables more violence that would not have occured if no such response had been made.
Because in the same way that it matters not if we anger Muslims for the slightest of reasons, those reasons are merely for us to ponder over and for them to "justify" (in our eyes only) the anti western actions.
Our very existence as Infidels is reason enough to justify any action in the eyes of the Islamofascists. But the morally bankrupt western eltie will never accept this an so the cycle of self flagellations begin. -Bush, Israel, neocons, marginalisation of immigrants- any reason to divert us from the truth that we simply have no right to life , as it was for the Jews under Hitler.
And of course So mamy many Jews refused to accept this even when Hitler ranted and spelt it out clearly from his Wagnerian style podiums. And they died.
So now we are faced with the amorality of equivalence, a degraded world in which there is no right and no wrong and every victim is as guilty as the perpetrator.
These are the achievements of our society in the 21st century.
God help us all

'm implying that the UN should follow the US' lead and go kick some theocratic butt. Posted by: A.G.Frederick II

Did I miss a war somewhere?

Where did the US kick theocratic butt?

I haven't seen any such action.
Afghanistan was not about kicking theocratic butt, there really is an issue about the UNOCAL pipeline, and it was the U.S. that actually funded and supported the Taliban, it also backed the Bosnian Muslims and the Muslim Albanians in Kosovo. But Bush said Afghanistan was about a Terrorist Osama and his al Qaida cell.

He hasn't kicked butt in Saudi Arabia and Iran or Pakistan the three real Muslim theocracies in the world.

Iraq was run by a secular dictator, on whom the likes of Osama had issued fatwa's. Saddam was murdering Shi'ites (and Kurds) left and right.

So where is that theocratic butt they were kicking? Certainly not the 700 club, not Islam, not the Chasidim.

Where I ask?..I missed some action.

it must be something to do with the colder climates that attracks liberals in Canada.. look at northern US states.. more liberal Democrats... yikes.. come on Global Warning!! it below zero, and l live in southern Canada!! btw some a liberal moron politician in Canada was pushing for the UN to move to Canada..hahaha.. the UN people know who butter's their bread! throw out the rascals now! and start a new club of democratic countries!!! muslim states need not apply!
