U.S. May Yet Deport Acquitted Ex-Professor

Here's hoping. If he stays here, he will resume his role as a media darling of the anti-American Left. From the Ely Times, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:

TAMPA, Fla. - Federal authorities hit with a stunning defeat in a terrorism case against a former Florida college professor are considering deporting him instead of retrying him.

Al-Arian, a Palestinian born in Kuwait, was accused of being a key figure in a Palestinian terrorist group that has carried out suicide bombings against Israel.

Officials said there is no timetable for a decision.

If the government decides to abandon the remaining charges, it is doubtful Al-Arian will be permitted to return to his previous life in Tampa. He had been a computer engineering professor at the University of South Florida but was fired after his indictment.

if they dont toss him out, there is little hope for any justice!

a Palestinian born in Kuwait
Riiiiight. That makes complete sense, in Bizarro World.

Beagle > excellant point! Is the world screwed up or what? Seems like logic and common sense goes out the "window" when the idiots out their promote an agenda.

The twists, turns, and strange behaviors of investigators, prosecutors, and politicians in this case are very peculiar. The whole things smells of corruption and intimidation at some level.

Read the book Infiltration by Paul Sperry. I found it most disheartening and downright scary.

Beagle, you're exactly right.

There is no such thing as a Palestinian. They are from all over the place.

Well, if our justice system can break, :-[ , then at least we can still deport them. I, for one, will gladly pay for my share of 10 or more deportations for ALL who do not wish to assimilate. That includes all jihadists and any other nationality. This country has had a fine history of any people that desired a better life and were very happy to learn English and accept our American way.
The PC crowd has made such inroads that I have to 'select' English for purchases. sigh, grrr

DMS:
You are right! Perhaps infiltration will continue until the public speaks out in a variety of ways to get our "public servants' to do their jobs. The Minutemen project is an example. One day the Pres. calls the Minutemen vigilantes and now he has changed part of his tune. Now to cancel any ideas of an amnesty option. I believe that all muslims should be herewith expelled to the country of their choice/birth. There may be 'moderate' moslems here but until we are rid of all Islamists we will not be safe within our borders. While I am on a roll, let us relocate the UN - anywhere.....

Thanks for the vent, and regards,

Beagle

Let's not forget Zarqawi who is a "Palestinian" born in Jordan but is always referred to in the press as a Jordanian. Wouldn't want to confuse the public by suggesting that Jordan is Palestine.

Why deport him? Then he is free to do what he was doing now with an added twist, as a Islamic martyr from wherever he settles in a Islamic country.. The best is to prosecute him and give him a lengthy prison sentence and then deport him after he serves his sentence.

Can we send the judge and the jury with him?

Mr. Sami should spend some time visiting the home of his birth. He might appreciate the US a lot more after such a visit.

Cheers, Richard

For EPG: Debbie Schlussel, writing for the "Frontpage" magazine, which is linked to this website, currently has an interesting, if horrifying, article in which she writes that the Justice Dept. actually submarined some of their own lawyers in order to lose some of these terrorism cases. It seems that political correctness and the votes of Muslim-Americans were more important that bringing terrorists to justice. Her article, and the adjoining article by Paul Sperry, have made me heartsick. The next attack on the US is coming. I just have to prepare myself and my family for it in the best way that I know how. The elites in our country are selling us out.

GA_boy -

I favor mass deportation of all muslims. True, there may be some who are upstanding citizens. But, America owes islam/muslims nothing. Let muslims sort themselves out - overseas.

A good way for a muslim to show his bona fides is by renouncing islam. Those are the only credentials I will accept.

The FrontPage article on the FBI leads me to conclude that the organization is hopelessly compromised. The way out of the mess is to disband the FBI and start a replacement agency, from scratch.

I would suggest that the new agency not include any members of the enemy's ideology.

But, hey, I didn't graduate from an Ivy League University. What the Hell do I know?

Well, that's the next best thing we could do with him. There are much cheaper and more sudden ways.

Give him the boot. Who needs him anyway?

DC:

I was thinking of presenting him as the "lump'O coal" in Ahmadinejad's stocking this holiday.

Since he is Muslim then we should honor and respect his religion > would 750 lashes be too much?

Retry on the other charges, then deport win or loose.

Honor and respect the religion if islam, that can't happen if I believe it to be a false religion. They have a right to have their faith, but not to demand my nod.
