Attention AOL subscribers

There are currently around 2,250 subscribers to the Jihad Watch Daily Digest, which brings links to every article we post right to your email every day.

That is, unless you have subscribed with an AOL email address. They worked fine until about a week ago, but I have been receiving an increasing number of emails from AOL users telling me they are no longer receiving the Digest.

I am not sure if there is anything I can do about this. If there is, please let me know. Meanwhile, if you have subscribed to the Digest from an AOL account and would like to continue receiving it, please contact AOL and let them know. Thank you.

Friends don't let friends do AOL.

If one user requests that an email be blocked (e.g parent controls) then AOL blocks all email from that sender, if the user in question has set up parental controls for their kids.

Maybe someone set parental controls at AOL to block ou, and that effects every EMail sent to a subscribe who has parental controls.

Check with your subscribers through another medium.

Some providers also have spam filters, and thus a person who registers with typekey, will not receive a validation message.

Happened to me.And my provider is huge, and I never set a spam filter, it is global it seems.

Perhaps the Saudi Prince who owns part of AOL can assist with this problem.

The prince is Talweed. He also owns about 5% of Fox and is close friends with Rupert Murdock.
As Goebbels said, first control the media.
AOL = Arabs On Line

Now is the time for AOL users to subscribe to the JW and DW RSS feeds using a free news/blog reader/aggregator like Bloglines. I recommend:

Hey Karma:
Woot.com sounds good. I'll have to set up a new email acct for that.

If you want to get your email list through to aol users I suggest you use a professional list maintenance service such as intellicontact, constantcontact, there are a lot of them.

Oh no, it's happening: Amrika Online!

Very simple solution:give up AOL and sign up with a real internet provider, preferably cable.

Robert:

It could be that your IP has been added to one of the internet address blacklists. These blacklists are NOT political in nature. They are an effort to get rid of spam. But I am not accusing Robert of spamming.

** NOT EVERYONE WHO GETS BLACKLISTED IS A SPAMMER **

Our company has recently had a similar problem. Somebody sent spam from the server that our domain is hosted on. That server's IP address got blacklisted. This IP address made it to the SORBS blacklist.

Our company uses email heavily to communicate with customers. Many of our customers were reporting that they were not getting our emails.

We did nothing wrong. Yet our host's mail server's IP was blacklisted. Meaning our email was getting blocked by recipients.

To get UNBLACKLISTED we had to "donate" $50.00 to a charity. Seems awfully close to blackmail to me. Anyway, Robert, long story short: your IP could be blacklisted. If you need any assistance in this, feel free to email me.

its very easy to get blacklisted - pretty sure AOL uses blacklisting databases.

doesnt take too much for a Jihadist to sign up, and then to send jihadwatch mails to the major blacklisters , as if it were "spam" - spamcop, sorbs, spamhaus etc...

Never send bulk emails from a domain you care about. It only takes one person to complain of being spammed by you and then the domain is toast email-wise. Get a throwaway domain, then keep getting them. Much better to use a professional service though, if they don't keep off the blacklists they don't stay in business.

This is why I left AOL years ago. Their attitude toward their subscribers was very condescending. I'm with adela, get a real ISP. DSL if you can get it, cable if you can't.

RS,

If you contact the postmaster at AOL you should be able to get JW removed from the blacklist:

http://postmaster.aol.com/contact/

They will only speak to the sysadmin for the mail server, so you might have to talk with your hosting provider about this problem and convince them to call.

Quijybo

I have an email list devoted to terror, islam, middle east etc and often receive notices that my mail cannot be delivered to the aol addresses - i figured arabs-online dont like the subject headings......aol is very discriminatory toward non islamic customers which is another story....their customer service and community action teams are outsourced to aol-india..my best advice is to get another service...there is life after aol

sugar

you know, i havent received anything from jihadwatch for several days and i am not on aol........???????????
